i was born and raised in agawam ma a short distance form the bakery and when i was a kid may father (from Italy) would have us walk to the bakery about 4 pm to get fresh "star"bread warm and some times as a treat the bakery would make small star breads. After twenty some odd years of searching, I have finally found a place that makes guandis like I used to get at my great aunts house when I was a child. And they make excellent bread to boot. Balbonis is the best!
