Disgusted Customer
-It was not that the food was bad, it was terrible. My food came with stale rice and they used cheap canned chicken ingredients. I first let it go and said whatever, let me just enjoy my dinner date; but then I bit into what was rotting chicken inside a Flauta. I called the bus boy and he smelled the chicken and agreed with me. He began to take away my plate as I immediately went to the bathroom and threw up and to my surprise there was feces on the rim of the toilet, go figure. Now I was really calm and spoke to the main waitress to asked for my bill. I told her I was not paying for my food and only my wifes food. She said WHY? I explained to her, “please speak with the bus boy and verify I was not lying about the rotting chicken”. She came back with a bill for everything minus the rotting flautas and said absolutely nothing to me except for "I didnt charge you for that, thanks." Now we got up and left, as I go over to the cashier she hints to him as to say, "Its ok, I GOT THIS". I pay and leave. Still not one comment, not even an Im sorry for your experience, or even a slight remark to maybe win some points with us. She just wanted us out. I was really debating whether or not to write this review but she pissed me off so much with her lack of customer service that I was annoyed enough to do so. Maybe everyone has their accidents and bad days, but own them and move on. Dont be ignorant of the situation.

DONT EAT HERE! I bought a Groupon to try this place out and had THE WORST experience Ive EVER had at a restaurant. I worked in the food industry and Ive been everything from a busser to a waitress so I know what good service is. The restaurants Ive worked in are also on a wide spectrum from fine dining to diner-quality, so I know what good food is. Tacos Mexico is neither. The service was wicked slow and unfriendly and the food came out cold and unseasoned...at a MEXICAN PLACE! I ordered a chicken burrito and when it came out (45 minutes later...for a burrito??) it was cold! Not only that, but the lettuce, tomato and onion inside were cut like they were going on a cold-cut sandwich...and they werent even cooked at all. The chicken was absolutely cold and had no seasoning or flavor at all. I wish I wouldve never wasted my money on the Groupon, but at least I had a discount. I will never go back and I would warn others against it as well. Hopefully Taxos Mexico gets their business straightened out...

Main course was very good; rice and beans not as authentic as could be but good. Salsa was an interesting gimmick but Id have preferred one bowl of great salsa instead. Service was ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS! The food, again, was good for the most part, but is NOT worth the wait and the trouble to try to pull in and out and park in this tiny, tiny plaza. I saw no reason for service to be bad either, there were at least 3 waiters and only 8 tables but it took 30-40 mins to get an order in, NEVER refilled drinks even when I asked twice and my cup was taken away and place on the bar, but never filled or brought back. Might try back again at an odd hour, food was good, but parking and service makes it unworth it.

Tortillas from the supermarket - thats about par for the course at "Tacos Mexico". Guacamole from unripe avocados, vastly overcooked shrimp, whats so great about that? Compare it to Los Molcajetes, on Fort Point St., about 1/2 mile away. The camarones at Los Molcajetes are tender and tasty - quite unlike the rubbery corpses served at Tacos Mexico. The Los Molcajetes guacamole is fresh, the sauces are spicy, and the tortillas - made right there, in the kitchen - are delicious. Tacos Mexico is clean, has slightly nicer decor, and is probably a little quieter than Los Molcajetes, but for a good meal, Ill go to Los Molcajetes any day.

The food was horrible. I ordered black bean soup, 1 chicken taco, and chips and salsa. When the delivery guy got here, first off how you do not carry any money to break change for your customers? Secondly I got black bean soup with no beans at all just the liquid, I didn;t even eat the taco and then the chips and salsa was horrible. The chips was more like the noodles that come with chinese restaurant soups and the salsa was very watery. I am glad I couldnt pay for it because the delivery person didnt have any money on him because the food was nasty and a waste of $12

Got home from work and my friends and I decided to order from Tacos Mexico instead of going to the restaurant. We were told 45 mins for the delivery however it took two hours to get the food and it was cold! Being that I am nine months pregnant, I ate it anyway lol! The flavor was there but damn guys hurry up! Get your lives together over there! No one wants to be lied to. Figure out how to tell the customer that it will be two hours for delivery so I could have made a decision to continue with the order or go elsewhere!

I love everything about this place. I wandered into Tacos Mexico 3 years ago and it turned out to be my favorite restaurant in Norwalk. The food is authentic Mexican fare cooked fresh and served with care by everyone who works there. I order the Camarones a la Diabla 3 out of 4 times that I go. Leo and Emanuel, make the drinks and a little bit of love goes into every drop! Tacos Mexico is the BEST Norwalk has to offer!

My friends loved their tacos, but I wasnt too sold on my sopes since they were piled with lettuce more than anything else & werent very flavorful. The staff was nice & accommodating enough, even though we arrived an hour before their closing time. We all liked the ambiance: dim lighting & interesting artwork. This isnt a place Id feel compelled to visit again but its good enough for a random Mexican food fix at 8 pm.
