If you had ever eaten at a Korean Restaurant in the past, this place will surely disappoint you. Its nothing like I had ever experienced befire at a Korean Restaurant (In a bad way). I can honestly say it was the worst Korean Restaurant I had ever been to in my life. Mabe its the best they have to offer in this town (So sorry). We ordered 2 servings of galbi and instead of cooking it at our table as advertised on the menu, they came out precooked on hot plates. The meat was not even galbi. It was some tasteless piece of leather slathered in some soy sauce. I have been eating galbi all my life and this meat was not galbi. And not cheap either. We got like 7 tiny 2x1 inch pieces, less than a quarter inch thick on each plate. Whopping 14 pieces for like $49. I didnt want to write such bad reviews on a fellow Korean, but I feel that people should be aware of what they are getting into. We came from out of town and if we knew beforehand How bad this place was, we would have never gone there in the first place. I hope this review helps other to avoid our mistake.

Food was adequate but not for the price. I only ordered codfish appetizers and teriyaki chicken. Hard to screw up sautéed chicken and veggies in a sweet sauce with some rice; it was tasty enough and served nice and hot. The batter on the codfish was almost all egg. I have no context as Ive never gotten battered codfish anywhere before, but the scrambled eggs quality didnt work for me. Nice staff and excellent service. Quiet restaurant to talk in on a Saturday night, which was a plus. Still, there are better quality dinners for cheaper in New Haven.

My experience with this restaurant is a Negative 5stars. Someone in that restaurant allowed 5 different transactions on my bank account in one day. Totaling over 1000.00 dollars . Someone at that restaurant is crooked and probably works there. How do you allow 5 transactions occur in one day at the same restaurant? I live in Pennsylvania. DONT USE YOUR CREDIT HERE. THEY MAY STEAL YOUR IDENTITY ALSO.

Very nice little korean restaurant. People were very friendly, the food was really good (if not the best Korean on the continent, certainly a very tasty place) with a classical north american korean menu, the place is not modern fashion, but its really confrotable. Price is totally normal, 30$ for 2 on a dinner, I find its nice. Kimchi was awesome!

Pricing I dont believe matches the food. The food seemed slow to arrive and yet the waiter seemed by quick. It was just an odd contrast. I dont think the experience was bad, rather maybe that Im just not a fan of Korean food? Will need to have more to verify. It was worth the try though.

I am shocked this place had average of 4 stars when I reviewed. This place is one of the worst Korean food restaurants ever. Its expensive and tasteless. Koreans at Yale unanimously hate this place even though its the only Korean place in town.

terrible side-dishes (banchan).. really expensive.. not worth your money.. Im Korean and I have tasted really good Korean food both in U.S. (both eastcoast and westcoast) and in Korea. This is definitely not one of better Korean restaurants

Foods were excellent considering that it is located in the city where not many Koreans live. I liked bibimbap and tukbokki a lot. Kalbi-tang was just average though. They have their own parking lots.

Place is a rip off!!!!!! Someone working inside is allowing charges on stolen credit cards....they got me yesterday for over $300.... dont eat here..will be calling the police...bunch of crooks!

Seoul Restaurant in New Haven is horrible. I wish it were better, but the arrogant service almost matches the Korean restaurant in Hartford. May both of these restaurants go bankrupt.

Good, friendly service. The tteokbokki and bulgogi were delicious, and its one of the only places around in CT where I can actually get soju! Definitely planning to return.

My husband and I come here all the time. Having been to Korea myself, this place definitely cures the craving. Im a fan of the kalbi, mandu soup, and chap chea. Yumm....

I am a bit spoiled by So Kong Dong in Fort Lee, New Jersey, so I am very picky when it comes to Korean food. This is the closest thing to So Kong Dong. The food is great!
