Not so much of a Hidden Jem, its located walking distance from Yale University where you can spot students, professors chilling and relaxing ... however you can also hear students complaining about select subjects or professors ;) We were able to snag seats at a perfect location but good luck finding a seat here as it can get crowded real fast ... They have food here however very limited quantity and more like snacks and finger foods : Salads looked ok, had various bagles, scones, sandwiches , saw some cookies and croissants as well ... I had the Nutella latte with whip cream , it was delicious !!! However I was told that chai latte (masala) was quiet horrible. I would highly recommend this place ... Cozy spot with great drinks :)

First off the people that work in this place all look doped out of their minds. The coffee taste extra burnt/bitter and is over roasted every time I go. Not just one brew; from the ice coffee, espresso, to reg brew. No notes/flavors in any of there coffees. Very disappointing seeing as all they really sell is coffee and there pastries are small and expensive. On top of having bad coffee the staff is a group of pretentious hipsters. The only reason this place survives is because of the location and crowd. If they had to cater to a older crowd who new what good coffee taste like they would be out of business or under new management. I say the place a few blocks down on the corner is better. Koffee is disappointing to say the least.

Need a cozy and social place to study? Set up alone by the windows (standing desk) or with your small crew around a table or soft chairs. The coffee is great, there are gluten free treats, and you can shift to happy hour bevvies if you are there in the evening. Its a small place, so if its cold or rainy, have a plan b in mind. If its warm though, they have outdoor seating, both in front and in their park space in the back. The live music concert are fabulous. Most of the time the recorded music is pretty good. There are healthy snacks too to go along with the baked goods. And of course the baristas are fabulous.

This place is just fantastic. The coffee is amazing, service is wonderful, baked goods are fresh and delicious, and I just cant get enough of their sandwiches. The place is always so warm and inviting, and the wifi is fast and reliable! It is the real deal - not some starbucks knockoff. I saw the review below, and I just had to put in my two cents worth, because my experience has never been anything but fantastic. Id guess that person (who was too cowardly to leave their name) was affiliated with one of those other coffeehouses mentioned.

My favorite coffee shop in New Haven. Its cozy, quirky, and friendly. The coffee is always solidly delicious. There is an assortment of different foods - from sugared-up treats, to schmeared bagels, to sandwiches and salads that will actually sustain your body with nutrients. They offer beer and wine and cocktails at night. The baristas are all awesome. It is always busy, which is a testament to how good it is. Go, drink, study, be merry!

I worked right down the street from Koffee for a while, going in a few times a week. The staff is always very friendly, the baked goods are always huge, fresh, and well-priced, and the coffee always tastes great! Its sometimes tough to find a place to sit, and it can be a bit hot inside in the summer, but its a nice atmosphere for just relaxing most of the time. I always stop by whenever Im in New Haven.

OMG! Just spoke with someone from Koffee who was very short with me. I was shocked! I have work with Koffee in the past, with Simona and Kat and they both were very warm and friendly. This guy did not even care to know about my event or what I needed. It will be a shame for Koffee to be ruined by poor customer service. This is a one off but still had to share...

The just plain old coffee was great. Kind of pricey for just coffee in a mug but, good. The place is set up with a few more comfortable chairs in the front but, the back is clearly set up for people to sit and work. Plenty of WiFi a long work counter with individual lights and two long tables. Most people were working or studying. I would go back.

Very nice, cozy coffee shop. Has a very "college town" vibe. If you come in here on a typical day you will see students, professors, and normal residents going about their lives, which is nice. A bit cramped, but not a problem. Has a nice outdoor area in the back, which is a little unkempt but still pleasant.

A nice local cafe with studious customers and nice staff. 11/12 laptop users had a Mac vs PC. Coffee was alright, music was random. Some cool, and some not so much. Wasnt too crowded, but I came in late August, so it might be off peak time of the year since its home to Yale. Check it out!

Very nice coffee, nice vibe as a coffee shop where most people are working. I also like that they offer wine and beer in the evening (great selection), so its a fantastic place to work through the afternoon and get a drink in the evening while continuing to work/ read/ unwind.

Awesome spot for some koffee! We were driving back to N.Y and just wanted to take a quick break. Love the cozy ambiance, they have games. Good break from social media, and glued faces on the phone. Great location plenty to do within walking distance!

Good coffee, good brownie, great atmosphere! I ran into this place when I was visiting Yale and really liked it. I love the seating and the red walls. The windows let in plenty of sunlight too. I wish there was a similar place where I live.

A unique coffee house a short walk from the New Haven Green. Always bustling. Families with children, undergrads and graduate students, business folks...the gamut. Delicious iced cold brew (even decaf!) and a very rich decaf Cortado.

Koffee on Audubon is the best coffee place Ive found in New Haven. There is free wifi, lots of places to plug in, nice atmosphere, really good yogurt and granola for breakfast, and most importantly, the coffee is good.

Nice space with great coffee to meet with friends or do some reading. Day-old pastries and sandwiches are about half-price and an inexpensive way to have a delicious snack alongside your coffee. I love it here.

nice vibe and drinks. not just Koffee but good beers, unique espresso drinks. went there off season: not crowded, artsy ambience, likely packed when school is on.

Very cool vibe. Nice, spacious place to sit and read. Background music is tasteful and not too loud. Coffee is decently good but not amazing. Will be coming back.
