I was excited to try some mexican so close to home but boy was I dissapointed. First off the prices were high but I have paid higher at some REAL mexican restaurants so this was not a surprise. Only difference is when I ate at the other restaurants I was more than happy to have paid the high price because their food was truly authentic and delicious. What I got here was something worse than I would get from my own kitchen. The food was extremely dry, hardly any sauce or flavor. About 1 tsp of sour cream ( I had to pay an extra charge for another tsp). The chicken was just cut up chicken breast. Most mexican restaurants will add shredded chicken and it is atleast seasoned. Rice was dry, everything was just dry and bland. Probably the worst mexican food I have ever had. It was like eating a paper plate. If you live in the area Senor Panchos is a better bet but if you really want authentic Mexican make the drive to Baja on the Post road in Orange. I would recommend Taco Bell over this place. Save your hard earned money!

I hate to say, this is a place to avoid now adays. Well, I have been going to the Tequila Grill for a couple years now. I have always enjoyed the food. Its been amazing food, large portions and great value. I have always meant to post a review to share my good experiences, just never got around to it. Sadly, by the time I do, its to share a bad experience. The quality has gone down hill. What used to be fresh food cooked great, has turned into reheated frozen food. The vegetables served on my arroz con carne were actually brown. On top of that, the price has increased by almost 25 percent since the last time I visited 6 months ago. The recipe to a good restaurant is simple provide great, fresh food with great service. If the Tequila Grill doesnt change its ways, they wont be around much longer. They have lost one customer tonight.

My wife and I enjoy going to this restaurant. The food is very good, now mind you this place is NOT cheap, but I feel the value is fair. If you get the tres fajitas, you will have so much food left over that you will have to ask for either more pitas or be prepared to take home left overs. The staff is extremely friendly. My wife is a picky eater and she enjoys the food. I have 3 daughters that are 18, 20 and 22 and they enjoy the food as well. The only thing I find a tad strange is that in this day and age, they do not give free re fills on soda, but the glasses of soda are very large! As a matter of fact, I am headed there right now.

First off the chips were soggy from the oil and heavily salted. The quesadillas were dry with little meat and cheese. I mean, I expected better than what I can get from Taco Bell. The quesadilla was served with chopped onion, tomato and parsley (Definitely not cilantro as I cook with it regularly). The rice and beans were literally soupy. For an authentic Mexican restaurant, I expect better. Hot Tamales is much better. Oh, and how does a mexican restaurant run out of avocados? Margaraits were ok. Went to Wing It On (right down the road) and the margaritas were $1 cheaper- and better tasting!!

Its been a year since my last review and this place remains fantastic. My new favorite lunch item has been the chicken soft tacos, very authentic and delicious! A must try. Im having a hard time understanding the 2 negative reviews on here... first of all, the prices are far from expensive (chips, fresh salsa, a huge lunch portion of good food, soda - all for under $10) and to compare their food to Taco Bell is outrageous. Tequila Grill is the ONLY place is Naugatuck (and within a 20 mile radius) that I feel certain my food is always fresh and not frozen processed CRAP!

Hub and I decided to try this place out on a Wednesday night around 6:30PM. It is a quant little place. They have salsa and chips ready before you order. I got the shrimp chimichanga and the hub got AL pastor burrito with a side of rice and beans. The rice was tomato-y which was a pleasant surprise. Chipotle Buffalo wings were awesome. Nicely fried and crispy with a slight sweetness. I definitely recommend these wings! Food overall was a nice surprise, very filling!

I will never eat at this place again! The food was warm and just bland, the rice and beans had about a total of 10 strands of grated cheese on them that wouldnt even melt (I did say it was warm didnt I). Someone ordered a shrimp burrito and got a steak one instead, and only ate half. All in all this restaurant was a total bust! Do your self a favor and drive up the road and go to Subway Im sure the food will be better there!

I ate here once. Far as I recall, its too expensive. I dont mind paying the bucks, but the food portion or taste gotta match it. If Im getting almost the same thing as Taco Bell and paying $35, there is a problem. Service was good and thats why I gave them 2 stars:)

We love Tequila Grill! The owner is awsome, atmosphere is great and we have always felt very welcome there. Good deals at happy hour, but also very afordable all the time. Food is good, we have our favorites...fajitas and the alambre. Cheers to Abel

My sons and I love this restaurant! The salsa is the best. I have tried many of their dishes, and have never been disappointed. My favorite is the shrimp chipotle. The happy hour on Thursday and Friday is great. Delicious margaritas!

We were seated right away. Server was friendly and helpful. Food and drink were awesome. Rice was moist not dry like other places we have tried. Reasonably priced. All in all good first experience here as newbies to the community.

Place was clean looking , so as the bathrooms. Food was bland in taste ..and the lemon wedges for the beers were old and stale.

We went here for my birthday. They gave me a free shot of tequila. The food was not great. We were the only people in there.
