First to review! :) We were fishing on the dock when we started getting a little hungry. My boyfriend suggested that we try the restaurant directly across the way, and that was a great decision! The restaurant opened for lunch at noon, but they let us sit inside with our first round of drinks...a Paloma and a La Banera. Both were very good, but the La Banera was a standout. We started out with the Acapulco Shrimp cocktail, which was fantastic. My boyfriends 10 year old daughter absolutely loved it and described it as "muy delicioso!" The next course consisted of the Fonda Ceviche, which was so well balanced, refreshing and delicious. The fried calamari was a total winner...our 10 year old calamari expert said that it had the perfect amount of breading. The texture and seasoning really were on point and the habanero sauce that came on the side was super tasty. My boyfriend ordered the Chile Relleno con Camarones. He orders chile Relleno at every Mexican restaurant he goes to, and said that it was one of the (if not the best) chile Relleno hes ever had. That verde sauce was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Carnitas de Puerco, not spicy. It was so flavorful, and it came with some of the best mushrooms Ive ever had. The don Julio margarita was very well done. We ended the meal with Licor 43, which was a great, slightly sweet and herbal liqueur. Hey, we are on vacation! The staff was so attentive and friendly. This restaurant has been around for quite a while, but moved to this new location a couple weeks ago. They explained that the ingredients are brought in fresh daily, and we could really tell...the quality of food was stellar. We had such a great experience, couldnt be happier, and couldnt recommend this restaurant enough!

We went on a Tuesday evening so it wasnt at all crowded. The host who greeted us was probably the owner, but he did not introduce himself. He was courteous and friendly, though. We ordered a pitcher of beer and he spilled quite a bit of it over the tray while pouring it. I ordered the burritos that were supposed to come with sour cream and guacamole. They didnt, however, and I had to request them. I got them in those tiny, plastic souffle cups. The dinner itself was very good, but nothing extraordinary, especially for the price. When we asked to see a dessert menu and it never came, we just finally asked for the check. It wasnt a bad experience, but I would not return.

Service was awful. Food was Barely edible. Wanted to change $7 to add cheese to a burrito, declined and then waiter came back and said manager could do it for $2 which was slightly more reasonable but should not have had to barter price. Drinks were approx $10 and were full of ice and weak.lastly, this was not my experience but the couple next to us, they would not allow the use of a coupon with a gift card. Gift cards should be treated like cash and ridiculous that they were not aloud to combine with a coupon. This review was written from my mother melodys experience.

While looking for good Mexican food on line discovered Fonda La Paloma. My husband, our daughter and I decided to give it a try tonight. What a great evening. Food was the best Mexican we have ever had. We have dined in multiple Mexican restaurants and this was indeed a step above. The Margaritas were fantastic, the food was hot and sizzling. Service was friendly, fast and very attentive. Sebastian can mix my Margaritas any time.

This place has some of the best authentic Mexican food Ive had. From true staples like Arroz con Pollo to delicious Chiles Rellenos and a really excellent blood orange margarita, this place hits the nail on the head. Even when the service was a bit slow on a recent visit due to unexpected foot traffic, our waiter bought us a round of drinks as an apology for the slow service.

I dont even know what to say to accurately describe this hidden treasure. Phenomenal service and even better food. The pitcher of margarita is well worth the price, and the steak faijitas are delicious! My whole family thouroghlly enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere.

Charlie makes the best Margarita and Sangria! Worth the trip wherever youre coming from. Fish of the day dish is always excellent. Nice bar and beautiful patio in the summer. Fun time with Kareoke on Saturday night.
