Ive visited this IHOP numerous times as the service was impeccable, however it seems that all of the staff is new. My husband and I visited this past Sunday March 19th 2017 and I tell you, Please do not go. My husband and I witnessed 3 separate customers complaining about our waitress after they had received their food. A) she added an additional item to one customers receipt. B) when we were seated, there was a table of three across from us that were already seated (it appeared that they had been seated for a little while already)but had ordered and was waiting for the food. C) There was another gentleman who was complaining that another waitress never came back to his table after he was provided with his food and needed his check. Ok, so my husband and I are seated and we ordered as we already knew what we wanted. Everything starts out great. We got our drinks .... and we are waiting on our food. ( by the way my food came before the party of three that was seated across from us. ) So my food comes and my husbands order is wrong. As I am starving my husband says to me please go ahead and begin eating. As someone other than our waitress brought the food. So shes heading back to the kitchen to inquire(Im assuming here) 1) where is the food my husband ordered? 2) how did this happen? Ok, so things happen,we are understanding people and are waiting patiently. So its half an hour later and I have completely devoured what was in front of me. By this time I am boiling inside because I have already eaten and no one has come back to our table. We ask another waitress to speak to the manager. As our waitress has disappeared from the floor. The manager comes and automatically wants to comp my food. My husband assures him. We will pay for the food that was given but asked the manager whether he wanted to know about the service we received?.... (Its not always about free.) The managers response," but you dont have to pay for this". Ok so this was suppose to be a pleasant experience. We live in Hartford drove all the way to Manchester because the food and service has always been excellent to encounter this. IT WAS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY. I wanted a lovely experience with my husband before we went shopping. Sooo, my husband asks the manager for the General managers business card as he too could use a little training. Upon the mangers return he provides my husband with the General mangers business card and we ask that the waitress please bring the check. Do you know that all of the waitress were off the floor. We waited and waited no one came. So finally my husband leaves our table tags down another waitress who just popped out and informs her that we are leaving and thank you for a half free brunch. Please dont forget my husband hasnt eaten yet. Thanks IHOP! No worries, I will not mention my waitresses name as everyone deserves a second chance. Great location food was good but staff desperately needs training. I gave one star because the service was crap. Keep the chef☺

Dear Waitress at IHOP in Manchester, CT, The comment you made to your coworker as I was paying out bill of “there’s too many highchairs in here”, struck me as offensive. It was four days after Christmas that my husband, my 14-month-old son and myself came into the diner. It was practically empty and the only two highchairs that I observed were my child’s and the family sitting opposite us. I want to apologize; I have no idea that our idea of treating out our families to a nice breakfast after the hectic holiday season would have such implications on you doing your waitress duties. I might remind you that neither one of our children was acting distastefully, but you ma’am were certainly offensive. Whether you had known that I was the mother of one of those children that needed highchairs or not, the plain fact that that you made that comment in front of a customer is absolutely deplorable. I noticed that the isles of the diner were large enough for two highchairs to sit opposite each other WITH SPACE between them for a person to walk through, as I had done many times when my child threw something into the isle and I respectfully picked it up. You were not our waitress but I promise you I will never burden you with our nice family outings again. Again, I apologize for trying to expose my child to the outside world; one might say the International House Of Pancakes world, as we were trying to have a nice time in a quite setting after the holiday season. I wish I had the nerve to say something to you when you said it… Next time I will know better, but it will never be at IHOP, as I will not bring my family there again. I wish I glanced at your nametag and embarrassed you, but I am not like you ma’am (although you didn’t look much older than 17), I keep my ugly comments to myself in a public setting, I am trying to set a good example for the new generation, unlike you who seems only to care about maneuvering around highchairs at your place of WORK. Sincerely, Our Final Visit to IHOP in Manchester, CT (Next to Panera and across from Dunkin Donuts)

Id really like to ask a question of why you need to prep cook breakfast. Multiple times Ive gone there Ive been served toast that was as hard as a crouton and if you pinched it it would literally fall apart like it was sitting out for at least 4 hours. Second if you ask for scrambled eggs you better ask for with a shell otherwise youre going to get something that came out of an MRE. Also dont expect it to be really scrambled they served me a fried egg that they scrambled in the pan. Not to mention the greasy f****** mess that they said were hash browns they werent even Brown on one f****** side cut into a square that was baked in a pan you have a skillet top for a freaking reason use it! you wonder why you lose customers and Its not cuz of your dirty ass bathroom its your s***** ass food

When food finally arrives its ok, but bring something to read! Went twice on a Sat. night. 1st time it was busy, but even so, wait time for food was ridiculously long--one large group with small kids had been waiting over an hour & finally gave up & left. Waitress explained that it was a new chef. (On a Sat.?! That suggests a management problem!) Not the wait staffs fault--they were also getting screwed by the long wait & people leaving reducing their tips. When ours finally came, 1 item of one of THEIR combo meals was missing, & my sisters Belgian waffle was undercooked on the bottom. 2nd time it wasnt busy, & getting food was still slow.

I would give no stars if I could. First it took over twenty minutes before they took our order. It wasnt busy and yet you could see over half of the tables were not being cleared. It was disgusting. Half of our food was cold. They tried to charge us for hash browns that in the description of the meal said they came with hash browns. When the hash browns showed up they had other food burnt to them. So they were returned and they still tried to charge us for them! When drove the farther distance to come to this IHOP because in previous visits it was fantastic with no compliants. Also today was my birthday which just made everything worse.
