I was looking for a place for breakfast ( being new to the area) and was told Blondies was the place to go.... Sadly, I didnt feel in the end the same way. One of the main reasons I am only giving a 2 out of five stars are these two reasons: 1)*Service* :I got there about 9am this past Friday and was writing in my work ledger, when the first interaction I had with anyone, was the waitress ( whom I was told was one of the owners) sliding a menu across the table at me and walking right by without a word. Being in the food service industry for over 12+ years.... not the best start to making me feel welcome. When she was talking to me she was nice but I felt rushed, like she rather continue talking to her regular customers, than me, as someone just passing through( unknowing I was new to the area and trying to find my new Friday breakfast spot). Through the time I was there, her main focus was toward the regular cusotmers and I was just a "side note". I witnessed other customers having to call to her over from other tables, for also being overlooked, as she was sitting/ leaning against a table chatting with customers she clearly knew. 2) I ordered the steak and eggs (which came with homefries and toast); I asked if I could substitute the two sides for a single pancake, and it was a clear "no, that they dont even out..." So I got a pancake on the side. Than the food came out, which did come out in a reasonable amount of time, but wasnt the best. The $14.99 I paid for the dish, I didnt feel was worth it, the steak had a good amount of fat and gristle on it and the two eggs barely looked like two eggs. I was happy with the pancake that was the size of a plate, because that is the thing that filled me up; not this 10oz "ribeye" steak. The steak didnt look like a ribeye based on the cut, nor did it look like nearly a half a pound. ( quality was poor/fair) I tried the place and will be going somewhere else, wasnt nearly close to the worse place out there, but not worth me going back ( unless you are already a regular, which I am not). I paid $22 in the end, and yes that included a $3 tip, because I wont be an a**hole and leave nothing. I felt the meal was worth $10 (not including the pancake) and will find another Friday breakfast place as a new resident in the local area. Response to owners Response: To whom it concerns, I can understand how a bad review can effect a business and with writing my review I caution the consumer; that is why I write reviews. I would have pulled you aside if I could have gotten your attention for more than a few minutes; but again like my comment above stated, the attention stayed continually on what seemed like the regular customers ( when very briefly you would address me to see if everything was ok. 4x during the 1 hour and 45minute stay at your diner) My review lets the consumer be cautious; my review didnt give you a one-star and completely write you off; I wouldnt want the next individual to have the experience I had. And yes, working in the food industry, you feel I should have pulled you aside...I barely saw you as my waitress, let alone had the time to wait to have you come back to pull you aside to have a sit down conversation on my experience. One of the two of the food service jobs I occupy is management in a catering company; and we dont get the chance to try again. The food industry can be a hard one, as you know. And we must always be at least on our B-game if anything. I may try the place again, but with the last review by someone 2 weeks ago on how the food hasnt gotten better ( it seems) we will see. Good luck with the business and again reviews are peoples opinions, they caution the consumer on our experinece; as I too face within my corporations.

I went to Blondies with a friend on July 9, 2017. The waitress was very nice, the food was terrible. I had under cooked sausage, nearly raw home fries and my first ever $4. and change bowl of grits, my eggs were , however ,lightly scrambled , as ordered. My friend had a bowl of the four dollar and change grits, one egg over easy, both of which he totally enjoyed, and corned beef hash which he couldnt eat because it was served cold. What a long wait for a terrible breakfast. Then came the check, just over $30! Wow, two breakfasts, just over $30. Bye bye Blondies, bad food plus very high prices equals loss of this breakfast loving customer. By the way, the only reason I gave one star is I couldnt post this warning without a star

I have lunch at Blondies weekly, and breakfast occasionally. The staff is super friendly, the service is good, and the food is excellent. They have a great cook who makes fresh meals and homemade soup. Their cup of soup is actually a bowl. Their soda cups are huge. Great portions.

Without exception one of the best restaurants I have ever found homemade pork gravy and Biscuits... they also offer spicey chicken I recommend pork gravy over the spice chicken with a side of biscuits and gravy topped with easy eggs

Food is great jut service still needs work. Waitresses shout across restaurant to each other. Just chatting. Today even throwing things st each other. I comr to eat and relax. Not listen to random shouting.
