There arent a huge amount of full service restaurants this far up except pizza joints so it was refreshing to discover this cozy eatery right on the Litchfield town green. The dining room is intimate with a single service row down the center. The pub handles the overflow. We were seated and served by Holly. This is hearty American food fare . We were served in the pub and the joint was quite lively but not boisterous.The dinner rolls were great with Virgin oil and freshly grated Parmesan. Wer both chose the Village Meatloaf. Melt in your mouth tender with a peas and carrots side Its mashed potatos and meat and the presentation was as professional as the meal tasted great. The pub is subtlety lit but comfortable. Choose the restaurant seating but call ahead or you may have less of a choice and the pub becomes your default.

This is a small cute restaurant. When I arrived I was seated quickly and given bread and oil. I had the Wednesday entree special with free glass of wine. I got there around 6 PM and ordered quickly a food came quickly. The waitress was ok with the service, I actually received more service from the hostess then from the waitress. The waitress gave me my glass of wine and bread, then I did not really see here until the end when she took my plate and gave me the check. The hostess refilled my glass of water brought out my meal and gave me another couples of rolls. Most of the entries were over $20 minimum. I thought the entree that I had was ok, it was just noodles, sausage and sauce, I think a little pricey and average size for the entree.

My wife and I were passing through Litchfield today looking for a place to stop for lunch. The Village had a very bright, cheerful atmosphere and very pleasant staff. The crock of chili was delicious and came with a fantastic corn bread. I also had the pork loin sandwich w/caramelized onions and mozzarella served on a crusty roll with garlic mayo. YUMMY! My wife had an Asian Shrimp Salad with edamame, cashews, spinach and a delicious Asian dressing. The shrimp was a little over-grilled, but everything was so great that we could overlook this minor flaw very easily. We would love to stop in again if we are ever in the area again!

Great atmosphere! Vegan cob salad was a unique offering (romaine topped with whole cashews, avocado, tomatoes, corn etc.) Im told burger was really good but small. Kids menu has pasta, chicken + grilled cheese. Womens restroom was very tiny (forewarning for large/pregnant women.) Would definitely come back if we were in the area! Wait staff & host were accommadating and took the extra steps to make a bday lunch very special!

The place was very clean, waitress was on point, now the food is when everything go down the burger my friend ask for medium rare when she got was well done, we also order groupa was very salty and i order the BIG SALAD i was thinking that would nice fresh vibrant salad with vegetables from local farms was not and i did miss the asiago cheese the was supposed to be there. PS the olive oil need a little cleaning.

The pub food here is consistently fantastic, whether eat in or take out. I grab take out on Wednesdays and sit on the green to listen to the live band. Its GREAT!
