Went here for the first time and probably the last. Went at about 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. Wasnt bad, just not good enough to bring me back. The physical appearance of the restaurant was delightful with a rustic feel, despite being kind of small. Also service was fairly good and what was expected. Food: Menu is relatively small, half of which consists of burgers. The caveat is that there are only one or two "specialty" burgers and the rest consists of a build your own burger concept. The offer either a beef or turkey patty. Unfortunately they were out of turkey patties on the night of my visit. The burgers were extremely over priced. A base level turkey burger with nothing on it started at $10 and a beef at $11. From there, each topping cost an additional $0.50-$1.00, cheese was not included in the base cost. To top it off no fries or other sides were included. French fries or onion rings were offered for additional $2-$3. Burger sizes were okay, but were not as big as youd expect for the price. The best part was the bun. The sides were served in small portions and for $3 received less than 10 onion rings. In the end for a Burger with 3 toppings and onion rings cost me $18 which was absurd. We tried the "chips + cheese" appetizer which was essentially nachos with queso. They were fairly good but were lacking much for toppings and they were extremely stringent with the amount of chicken or anything other than cheese on them. Drink: The drink menu wasnt the easiest to read. There appeared to be zero cocktail menu. Beverage choices seemed to be centered around craft beers, of which, many werent offered. There was also a few limited offerings of the usual bar beers, aka Amstels, PBR, Coors. Beers cost $4 for the usual bar beers to about $8-10 for any of the craft beers. A large number of the craft beers were offered in only 750ml containers for about $40. Overall impression: Pretentious and over priced

Favorite, favorite, favorite! As a local Glastonbury resident and busy realtor in town, I always recommend this restaurant to my clients who are new to the area and might otherwise miss it. For either a casual business lunch/dinner, or for a night out with the family or friends, Birch Hill Tavern has fantastic food and a fun, upbeat atmosphere. Try the Short Rib Ravioli or the Grilled Cheese! To die for!

Amazing craft beer bar, they always have interesting beers available, offering an extremely wide variety of styles. This isnt your typical beer bar, they serve in proper clean and rinsed glassware, put a ton of thought into their tap list, and have great food as well! Im not into liquor or wine, but they have plenty of that as well. Totally recommend BHT.

Creative american food made with local ingredients. Every dish is worth going for. I go for the great craft brew beer selection. Excellent atmosphere and friendly staff. The location is convenient, but in a strip mall. No outdoor seating :(

Nice little gastro pub, large selection of craft beer as expected. Bit price as well, but again, expected. Nothing notable about it really but its a solid gastro pub if thats what youre in the mood for and youre in the area.

I love this place ... food is much better than your average tavern and they have an excellent selection of craft beers on tap. Same owners of 2 Hopewell and Sayulitas in South Glastonbury.
