Went to Starr Boggs this past weekend to celebrate my husband and daughters birthday. If you enjoy slow, unprofessional service with an attitute, than this is the place for you! Food was mediocre at best and way overpriced. I used to frequent this restaurant when they were in the Dune Deck and it was one of my favorite restaurants, but not anymore. I ordered the flounder which was supposedly their "signature dish". It was basically a breaded, fried piece of fish on top of some sweet potatoes for $33. My daughter ordered the crab cake appetizer which was the size of small meatball for $14. I sent back my calamari salad because the dressing had a horrible pungent taste. That was after the waiter infomed me he couldnt take it off the bill because I ate too much of it. Had to call over the manager who accommodated me. In all, very dissapointed. I could think of a hundred other restaurants I would have enjoyed more than this one. Dont waste your time or money. Perhaps the Monday night Lobster Bake is better.

ate here, four of us saturday night 8/30/14. pathetic from entry to exit. wont review food as for that i expect turn around pay. staff, except for water bearer, unhappy. maybe its the noise. cannot hear anyone, anytime for deafening noise level. over 40s yell over 70s who say what ? a tip on fish...shrimp should have been tossed, lobster dry/overcooked, seafood soup not really manageable . filet of fish in two dishes was taste challenged, as in try to figure out what youre eating. place was packed so the crowd must have lost their ability to taste. how does a place like this continue to exist ?so yeh i come from new jersey but we get really great dining in princeton, spring lake, cape may at one third the cost ! i grew up out there and you can do a lot with fresh scrod, blue fish, shelter island clams, blue crabs, flounder a little melted butter and some salt. this place is a long way from that ! neverlbbak.

Horrible from start to finish the last four times ive been there in two years. Everything needs salt, nothing is prepared properly. Service is absolutely horrible. Had to ask for our waiter to order. Appetizers came and we had to ask for bread as it was never served to us. On my birthday visit we didnt receive our drink until we were done with our apps. Waitress blamed it on bartender , said she was "backed up", totally unprofessional, should never had said that. He stand on location I believe. Ive lived here my whole life and hes been really downhill in the past 5 years.Wont go back, ever. Lavolpe and Stone Creek never need salt and service is right on.

Beautifully presented food (it seems almost like vandalism to eat it), most of it as good to eat as to look at. On our recent visits, we have enjoyed oysters, a wonderful tuna appetizer, and a number of delicious fish dishes. The rooms are comfortable, with original Warhol and other art work on the walls. The patio is a lovely place to eat in the right weather. The service is quite good, paying lots of unobtrusive attention. A great place for people watching -- many of both customers and staff aspire to be "beautiful people".

This place was totally not zagat rated or at least the night we went. I ordered at $42 t-bone and asked for med. Rare. Not only did it come out burnt the best part of a t-bone was completely shredded. I calmly told waiter this was unacceptable. He than returned with mng. Who told me to pay my bill and leave. My wife and two kids where stunned with full dishes in front of them. Those dinners where just average but eaten with nasty looks! DISLIKED!

A group of friends and I went here for the $30 two-course Sunday Prix Fixe dinner and had a wonderful experience. All of the portions were generous, the flavors were delightfully unique, and the quality of ingredients superb. The grilled calamari started and a subtle heat that enhanced the delicious vegetable flavors and the meatball, veal short rib, and Italian sausage used in Starrs Gravy were a carnivores dream come true.

My favorite restaurant in Westhampton. As a local, I wish they were open year round. The prices are high, but not outrageous (for the area). Service is a bit slow in the summer, and it may take a while to get seated, but the place is jammin. Ive eaten here at least 10 times in the past few years, and the food never disappoints.

Top notch restaurant with price fix menu Tuesday and Wednesday. Excellent selection on the menu and great friendly wait staff. Check time and seasonal opening. Outside bar and music on some nights. Call for reservations.

Food excellent. Kyle great bartender. Female not so much. She was not professional at all. She either needs to be trained in customer service, or look for another line of work. Could go on and on.

New American Cuisine with a focus on seasonally appropriate and local ingredients. Starr proudly butchers the finest grade meats on premises. Don’t miss their buffet dinner best bargain.

Excellent food (which has gotten better and better in recent years) good cocktails and wine list. It is the best sit down restaurant that you are going to find in Westhampton.
