I have tried their oreo, lemon, and cookie dough cupcakes. I thoroughly enjoyed the oreo cupcake. The lemon cake was reminiscent of lemon pound cake my grandma used to make, which made me nostalgic and very happy. However the frosting on this cake was way too sugary and you could taste the grit of the sugar, which is such a no-no with buttercream. Tasted like stop-and-shop bakery frosting. The cookie dough cupcake was good, but would have liked some more cookie dough components in the frosting or the cake to call it a "cookie dough cupcake". It was just a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting and a few nuggets of cookie dough on top. Expected a little more out of a team that won cupcake wars, to be honest.

I spotted this cupcake truck while shopping at the Clinton outlets. Im so glad I did!! I bought four cupcakes (lemon, carrot and 2 hostess). I will say the lemon cupcake was the best cupcake Ive ever eaten!!! The cupcake was light, the frosting wasnt heavy. It had such a good flavor. I was sad that I only bought one lemon cupcake. My husband ate the others and said that they were excellent as well. I unfortunately live an hour away from the outlets. Ive checked out the website and I will be making a road trip soon just to buy more cupcakes. If you are in the Connecticut area and anywhere near this bakery or cupcake truck, I highly recommend you stop in and try a cupcake. :-)

Besides looking very appealing, the cupcakes here are moist and delicious. The lemon cupcakes, although piled high with frosting, delivered the right amount of flavor without any of the cloying sweetness of other bakeries. The Smores cupcake had a hard thick layer of chocolate over a generous marshmallow dollop and the cake was very tender and well executed. The variety of cupcakes offered is outstanding and all are made fresh daily. At $2.50 a piece for the cupcakes, they need to deliver on flavor as well as appearance and they get 5 stars in both categories. The cookies and the petit fours are next on my list to try. Cant wait for an excuse to return!

Over the weekend my husband and I got married and Sugar Bakery was one of the cake vendors for our venue. While they came and set up the cupcakes we ordered, my husband and his best man over heard the owners husband talking to staff of the venue and other vendors. He was saying we were cheap because we didnt want any of the extras that they offer or a mini cake on top to go with the cupcakes. This was extremely unprofessional. We did pay for an extra addition to our cupcakes, so this statement is unfounded. And even if we hadnt, to say we were cheap with the desserts for our guests was uncalled for.

I bought a cake from Karren at the sugar baker for a baby shower and overall I was Very imperssed.!! Karren was very very nice and took my order as if I was her only customer. She really payed attention to detail and delivered exactly what I wanted! I showed her a picture of what I was thinking and she put her own designer twist on it to create a beautiful cake for our shower. Not only did the cake look amazing but it tasted even better!! and they deliver to the springfield area!! A BIG thank you to the sugar baker!!!

The owners daughter won the Cup Cake War at Food Network. I personally think their cakes are great even though not HEALTHY. I used to order their goodies for school kids, one point I realized one of kids has peanut allergy, then everything went wrong. the owner got attitudes, asked outrageous "DEPOSIT" which they never asked before. so I had to cancel all orders I did. then I found only myself was regret. they dont seem regret. I shouldnt even know this shop! just FYI, do not tell about PEANUT ALLERGY.

The cupcakes and cakes from this bakery are literally the most amazing items Ive ever eaten. The cupcakes are so delicious I questioned at first whether they were still cooked inside thats how moist and delicious they are. I recommend this bakery to anybody who likes baked goods! The big blue is my favorite cupcake and its worth every calorie!! Find your favorite each month and get while the gettin is good!!!

Hands down my favorite place to get cupcakes! I love that they have so many different flavors to choose from and they also do amazing jobs with cakes. What I love the most about Sugar Bakery is that no matter the time of day or the day of the week you always receive great customer service from whomever is behind the counter. They make you feel like family every single time you go there!

Absolutely LOved this place!! The Owner was Extremely nice and catered to my every whim for my daughters Christening!! I ordered a cupcake tower and a cake which came out so delicious and Beautiful! IF you want delicious cakes and cupcakes with incredible flavors then this is THE place to Go. Plus her willingness to work with you goes a long way as well!!

After all the hype must say cupcakes were not much above what one would get at a grocery store- artificial colors, mediocre chocolate flavor, fudge frosting too sweet with no cocoa depth of flavor, creamsicle cupcake had a confectioner sugar "buttercream", disappointing for a independently owned bakery.

I WOULDN'T KNOW HOW THEY TASTE BECAUSE THE WEBSITE SAID OPEN TODAY (SUNDAY ) TIL 5 AND CLOSED MONDAYS. BUT WHEN I ARRIVED TODAY..FROM HARTFORD AREA..STORE SIGN SAYS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS AND OPEN MON-SAT! NOT GOOD FOR BUSINESS. CHANGE TJE WEBSITE! I DIDN'T CALL FIRST I SHOULD HAVE!!!

We ordered a gluten free cake and some cupcakes. Went to pick up the order and were overwhelmed by the amazing sweets and accessories that were in the store. Our cake is beautiful and the cupcakes are as well, all different types! The people were so helpful and we will recommend them to everyone.

What can i say , the most DELICIOUS cupcakes around! It is truly a shopping, dining experience just going into their shop. I brought my nephew in and OMG- he was in awe, his eyes lit up and he was in heaven. Just a warning tho- once you buy and bite you are freaking HOOKED!!!!!!!!!!!

I have purchased 3 speciality cakes and have never been disappointed! Besides being delicious they were also beautiful! Ive also stopped by for countless cupcake with red velvet, plain Jane and hostess being favorites. The cookies are also to die for.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Owner was rude and would not even meet me halfway to accommodate my needs. I was in there weekly for marketing gifts and used to order yearly for my daughters cakes. I will never go there again

The Best Cupcakes Ever!!! So proud they are a local bakery! Sugar Truck is awesome especially because they park near the stores I work in! Happy and Friendly Staff...their motto "Stay Calm and eat a Cupcake!" Best advice :)
