We were recommended to go to The Blue Moose for pizza in Vail on our way to Avon for a business conference today (8/4/16). As we tried to get semi close to the blue moose, it was a cluster of traffic, pedestrians, tiny roads squeezed by over-commercialized buildings too squashed together with needle in a haystack, pay to park parking. It was claustrophobic and ridiculousness from hell. Were more supporters of local-style establishments anyway (as lifelong rural CO residents) so we turned around, got outta that mouse trap and back on the frontage road. Due to road construction, our lane was closed and just as I was about to flip around, we saw Chicago Pizza. It looked much more inviting, had free parking, and was right there off the frontage road. We ordered the BBQ Chicken 16" pizza and thoroughly enjoyed it!! They specially made a kid size cheese pizza for our 3 year old son and he chowed down. Our server and cook were the Owners!! They were both so very friendly and willing to converse with us. And our 3 y/o son was able to stretch his legs from the car ride and run around a bit, lol. They run a true longtime local, welcoming, unique, clean, authentic-Vail (not over commercialized) establishment. And a family-friendly environment. Pizza was great, owners are great. A breath of fresh air for sure in this over commercialized world today (especially how Vail has become the past few decades). This is the type of place that we all NEED to support and keep thriving!! And although the pizza and service we had were great, its not only ALL about those things...its what establishments like Chicago Pizza represent vs the over commercialization of everything these days in CO, the USA and our daily lives. Just two good people (not million/billion-aires or a corporation) running a local food establishment to make their livelihood...and thriving for 30 years as Vail expanded all around them...true Coloradans, truly American. Thats how I see it. Thank you Chicago Pizza for great food, a great environment, your pleasant-ness and a great experience. You are good people! Cheers!

Great food and truly amazing people. My husband and I just got married in Vail on September 19th. Throughout planning our wedding, we strived to support as many small businesses as we could. In our search for a caterer, we came across Chicago Pizza. We met with Vicky, one of the owners, months before our wedding. We tried some of their food (which was great!). And talked over some wedding details. It was the first wedding they had ever catered, but you would never know. Vicky and her staff were absolutely amazing. They went far above and beyond and helped out so very much with our wedding. We cannot thank them enough. Everyone was raving about the amazing pizza and the breadsticks that were served at cocktail hour. We are so thankful for Vicky and Chicago Pizza for helping to make our wedding day so perfect. <3

We got hungry traveling through on our way back home to CHICAGO. We didnt expect Chicago style pizza, and it wasnt but it was pretty darn good. The hot wings, however, blew us away! The sauce was like nothing weve ever had on wings, we couldnt get enough. The food was fantastic, the views - amazing, but the staff made us feel like family. I wish I could remember her name! (We were there with our 3 little ones, I guessed you might be dutch, you couldnt believe my husband was Mexican because of his light complexion.) It was the most pleasurable stop to eat Ive ever had. It was a long road trip back but she made us feel like we were still on vacation. Thank you! We hope to be back around there so that we can make another stop there.

Chicago Pizza is in one word amazing!!! o(〃^▽^〃)o Not only was the service very nice, but we were served quickly. When my family walked in she said we could take any drinks we wanted and because of that the pizza wasnt delayed. She got along well with my little brother which is hard to find with service, and she was also very sociable. Putting aside the great service the pizza was to die for. I dont often say this about food, especially concerning pizza, but the minute I took a bite out of my slice I literally found no other pizza to compare to it. I sincerely recommend visiting here, in my mind the shop itself should be a top tourist attraction in vail.

Last night I paid $31.00 for a sausage pizza with anchovies & had the worst pizza of my life. I have lived in this world class resort for 36 years and I do not mind paying for world class food or service. This was far from world class. Having been raised in Chicago, I am offended that they called this cardboard crusted, tasteless thing a Chicago pizza. The entire thing reminded me of a bad grocery store pizza. There are much better pizzas in Vail & I am sorry I spent my hard earned dollars at Chicago Pizza of Vail. I have to put a star on this to post it, but it should have a negative 10 stars.

We bought our first home in Vail 30 years ago....and watched merchants come and go. In the end, it is all about the owners and the level of passion they have for a fabulous customer experience. Axels gets it. Billys Island Grill gets it. And there are others...but, when we go to Chicago Pizza, we find owners that are passionate about giving their customers great value, great food, great service. LOVE THEIR PIZZA...love the way they care about their customers...THANK YOU CHICAGO PIZZA!!!!

We originally we headed to Blue Moose Pizza and are so glad that we didnt want to deal with lack of parking and maze of streets. We were welcomed by the owner and made to feel right at home. We ordered garlic cheese bread, the supreme pizza and a couple of local brews. All were excellent. The crust had a perfect crisp and all the ingredients fresh. Highly recommend this place for local flavor.

I stopped in to Chicago Pizza while passing through Vail. The Calzone was fantastic and owners were upbeat and a real pleasure to talk to. After a 9 hour drive, the conversation and great food was exactly what i needed. This is a unique local restaurant that is definitely worth giving a try. Im honestly surprised at all the 1 star reviews - guess you cant please everyone!

Chicago pizza... What a joke, not at all Chicago style, but thats not the issue. Ordered a medium pizza and large order of hot wings, and spent a good 40$ The pizza was bland, no flavor at all in the crust. The wings taste and feel as if the were frozen in a bag from the grocery store, heated up in a microwave. Very disappointed dont waste your time/money.

Had delivery to local hotel ~ swimming pre-dressed caesar salad ~ Poured about 1 cup of water/diluted dressing out of the container it was served in ~ My friend wanted wings, which Im always leery about from any pizza joint, anyway these wings were inedible, beyond disgusting ~ thankfully the pizza was good, everything else went in the trash.

Got a sausage and tomato pizza I dont know what was up with the sausage because it had bones all up in it, every bite felt like i was going to chip a tooth, maybe it was dog meat or something weird, just another overpriced crappy pizza place, pizza would of been bad even if it wasnt riddled with bones.
