Recently moved to the Thornton area. Im a big fan of Vietnamese food so Ive visited this place a few times now, I wanted to like it but reality prevents me from drawing positive conclusions. My very first experience with this place was walking in, and being told to wait to be seated in their lack of a waiting room. Its seriously just two chairs shoved awkwardly in a corner right in front of the door. After being obviously ignored by two employees finally the older gentlemen who was counting something, firmly gestured my way. I couldnt help but feeling it had some rude and discourteous intent behind it, giving me the feeling that my patronage isnt really something they valued. When I am finally seated after an inexcusable wait (plenty of empty tables) I noticed right away how generic their product quality is. Instead of made in house Hoisin sauce they had Kikkoman soy sauce placed on the table, which is something you would buy from Wal-Mart or other corporate conglomerates. Some may consider that a minor detail but for me it really confirmed the message that this is a restaurant that doesnt care about authenticity or quality, it is intentionally marketed towards people who dont know any better. I should also mention the waitstaff seemed equally as neglectful as their hosts. The food arrived and it was ok. Not spectacular and not particularly well priced either, at least compared to the competitive Vietnamese restaurant market which is fairly prominent in Denver. The whole experience left a lot to be desired but I gave them the benefit of the doubt on having a bad night. My second experience went a little smoother. I was seated a little more promptly, ate my average quality food while being mostly neglected by the waitstaff then left. Not much noteworthy about it, which in the restaurant business should speak for itself. There is no reason to choose this place over the countless other Vietnamese restaurants. Once again left the bad feeling that these people dont understand hospitality and treat their customers with extreme indifference. My third experience was today, I took my nephew for lunch. I figured children have a very honest way of critiquing experiences so I could count on gauging his reaction. We couldnt even get seated, and the two chairs shoved in a crowded corner by the door that they attempt to call a waiting room were already occupied. After standing their awkwardly with an increasingly anxious child I had no choice but to turn around and leave without receiving any recognition from the employees at all. This is the last time I will attempt to waste my money on a mediocre product at this establishment. I cant think of a restaurant that has worse service anywhere else in the city. In summary, Im giving this place a 2 star rating. Pros- They have a nice looking place. The food wasnt terrible, though its not particularly good either. Cons- you are guaranteed to get terrible service and generic product quality. If this is the first Vietnamese restaurant you ever ate at youll probably like it. If you are familiar with the food at all I highly advise you to skip it.

I am a regular, high paying customer. I am constantly taking all of my friends out to dinner there, and every time its a nightmare. They may have good food, excellent food, but that doesnt mean anything to me if the people serving it to me are extremely unfriendly. Its like they look at us with pure disgust. A few weeks ago, my friends, including my girlfriend and I, went there maybe an hour before closing. I was courteous by ordering very quickly and even tried to get it to go. They served two of my friends, as well as me, and it seemed like they completely forgot about my girlfriends sister. She ordered the Shrimp Noodle Bowl, and we waited over 45 minutes for it. The only way we got it was because my girlfriend said something. She simply said, "Excuse me, i was just wondering where my sisters food is. It was the Shrimp Bowl," and she was rudely interrupted. The older gentleman said, "Yes, YES, it is on its way," while pointing to the kitchen. I could tell they were talking about us in their native language, so i knew they were frustrated. The bill ended up being around $40, and i left a $20 tip just because i felt like we were the ones who were rude. Boy, was i wrong. Last night, we went there again with high hopes. At the end of the night, the bill was $59.67. I decided to not leave a tip because our server was very short, rude, and seemed like he didnt care. After i paid, he came back to the table and asked me, "No tip?" I said, "No, im sorry." He then responded with urgency, "Keep your change, keep your change." Really? Never have i ever been so disrespected and so humiliated at a restaurant before in my entire life, and i intend to not experience it again. I just dont want this to happen to anyone else.

No Cha Ca or Rau Muong here, this vogue little cafe is strictly for Americans that like to pretend theyre eating Vietnamese food. Their Pho is thin, weak and virtually fat free. If youve ever had real Pho you will be disappointed. Mine arrived warm, not that barely above boiling point that pulls the oil from the herbs. There is another contention, the herb plate arrived with basil, bean sprout, lime and jelopenio slices. I thought maybe I had ordered the Menudo by mistake. The Tia Tea was a premix syrup in a 12oz plastic cup chock full of ice. If you want to pay $3.50 for it, thats your business. The only reason this place got 3 instead of 2 is it was very clean and the service was excellent. But if your truly craving flavors of Vietnam you wont find them here.

I was going for a late lunch. A young man started to seat me when another server indicated to sit me in a different area. The young man gave me a menu and water, and I was ignored from there. Two others were seated and served. My server walked by me twice and didnt stop. He gave another person his order and walked by me again. When I got up to leave he was talking with another server at the front tables, no one was at them. I dont need to be ignored. I went somewhere else and will look for another Vietnamese restaurant in the area. I went there because it is 2 blocks from my home and they have good food. I wont be back ever.

This restaurant is in a strip mall but it definitely doesnt feel like one. Its an excellent restaurant. The decor is simple and tasteful. Service is consistently prompt and efficient. The egg drop soup is exceptional and their sesame chicken is divine. Ive brought friends and relatives to this restaurant and everyone has always raved about their dishes - their pho, in particular. While they always seem busy, its never crowded and Ive never had to wait long for a table, or for service. For the price the portions are huge. Its 30 minutes away for us, but always worth the drive.

This place is good. I was a little hesitant at first, since I dont usually think to go get Vietnamese or other Asian food when Im hungry, but this place is on my daily commute, and I wanted to give it a try. I was very impressed with selection of vegetarian options, and the food was excellent! Since coming here the first time, I came back 2 more times with 2 weeks of the first visit. The staff is very nice, the atmosphere is great, the prices are perfect, large portion sizes (you will have leftovers), and the food tastes great. Give it a shot! Youll be glad you did.
