The food was fine, and the place could have been a favorite had it not been for the service i recieved. Day 1: starving, i decided to stop by a mexican place very near and on the way to my house. I go in wait for my turn and ask for a beef and cheese chimichanga -not on the menu but a brief discussion with the cook and they figured it out-with guac and all the bells and whistles. as im placing my order i have a 5 minute conversation with another customer at the counter, in front of the cashier, who is within 10 feet of the cook, about how he and i both hate beans. we both make it clear that we find them dispicable and disgusting from texture to flavor to smell. I emphasize these points to the order taker who is not more than ten feet from the cook-mind you. I make it exceedingly clear by asking and reminding her-and the cook who is within earshot- that i want no beans. expectations were up and i even bought an empanada. i wait ten to twenty minutes and finally the cook comes out and hands me my $7 or so order. I get to my house and take a big bite. 1st i find its not as deep fried as i expected, and 2nd and most importantly to my almost unbearable chagrin, my chimichanga is full of beans. no meat of any kind to be found anywhere! WHAT! ok i can shake that off.maybe in their 20 min haste they neglected my clear and specific request. but im too tired to take it back. (luckily the chili which hadnt touched the beans had some beef in it which was the one factor keeping me from starving that night.)so i stew a little bit forgive them and find it in my heart to give them a second chance. Day 2: a couple weeks later i go in. and before ordering the exact same thing, i bring to cashiers attention the previous error and the fact that last time i could not eat my $7 burrito. she remebers me. but what apparently is most important to this establishment is that i was not charged extra for the guac! are you kidding! I see the $7 worth of bean burrito which i could not eat and its unfavorable impression clearly is not important-afterall im back and now you can charge me for the guacamole. Ok i can play that game cause after all the cashier isnt even 20. so i display some empathy for her getting in trouble for not charging me for guac in the hopes she-or some one will reciprocate some empathy for me after being charged $7 for a burrito i could not eat. FAIL. so i order my chimichanga again. and make it clear i want zero beans to even consider coming into contact with my burrito. this time i pay them $10 for the burrito (i didnt even order an empanada this time-apparantly this is how much it cost to add guacamole) i wait-seriously no exaggerating- no less than 15 minutes. (given my expressed dissatisfaction you might think they would offer me something while im waiting, an empanada, some chips, a glass of water, something, but nope, thats not the case.) finally it comes out. fool me once.. ok u got me. fool me twice...i dont think so. so i cut it open right then and there and find not one hint of meat. beans everywhere!!!! whoops!? cmon! at my request they take it back and fix it. this time it comes out in 5 minutes. I dont understand what the hold up the first two times was. Any way after checking it, i went home and ate it. it was decent, but it would have tasted better if not accompanied by bitterness from my ovreall experience. In short the food taste good enough for me to have been a regular. And i would have been had they gotten my order right the 2nd time and had they not been so apathetic and uncaring towards me as a customer.

My husband & I are frequent customers of this establishment. Their food is excellent especially for the price!, we have always had excellent service & even when asking for something to be left off or any other special requests. My husband is a fairly picky eater, especially when it comes to green chili, but theirs is wonderful! To the other reviewer, a quick look at the menu would have revealed that they do indeed serve chimichangas, just by a different name (flautas, I believe) which are indeed deep-fried. & if you specifically ask for a beef & cheese flauta with no beans, that is what you receive, as opposed to having a conversation with another customer within what you consider to be earshot of the cashier, cook or whomever, & expecting them to overhear your conversation or use their psychic ability to know you dont like beans. We have been customers for years at all of the locations & have never had a bad experience...we were heartbroken when they closed the pueblo west location, but are still die-hard loyal customers!

Idk how they call this Mexican/Spanish food!! No seasoning, ONLY 1 kind of salsa, beans were straight out the can, rice was bland and who knew authentic corn tortillas meant Ortega hard taco shells out of the box?? Smdh...they are gonna make me open my own Mexican restaurant and I aint even Mexican!!

I had the California burrito made into a chimichanga - muy bueno! The place is surreal in that they are using the same dining area for two restaurants in the same building. Why not just....nevermind. Anyway, they try to give good service and the food is generally good. The Cherry Coke is good too.

My parents had an issue with their order and this Ladys idea of customer service was well people ate here all day and your the only one who complained. I will never give my business to those people. This is shameful

Nothing like taco casa from Texas. This place give the whole franchise a bad name and shouldnt be able to associate themselves with the chain from oklahoma and Texas. Super disappointed
