I REALLY want to give this place 4 or 5 stars, but I just cannot after our recent experience. First off, overall this place is great and I would recommend them. So, when we first arrived at 2pm on Sunday we waited almost 10 minutes at the empty hostess desk while the phone annoyingly rang off the hook the whole time. When the greeter arrived she seemed a bit spacy and offered to apologies. We were informed the wait was 30 minutes. Alas, after our 25 minute wait we were seated in the bar area (group of 8 with 4 kids). Apparently there wasnt a server there and only the bartender to help the ENTIRE bar and bar seating area - that was fairly packed. We waited about 10 minutes before he first arrived. My beer, an Oskar Blues beer no less, was flat. Not cool for a brewery and their own beer... server was sporadic and left us with huge gaps of time between checking in and taking our orders. The positive part of this visit was my BB King burger was sooooooo delicious!! Overall, food was decent (our friends werent impressed with theirs), stick to the burger, and dont go for the service. Being in the restaurant industry for many years, service is PARAMOUNT to the overall experience. Food can be really good, but people wont return if the staff doesnt seem to care that the customer exists and pays their paycheck. Brush up on that, staff more people on the weekend (ESPECIALLY with a huge biking event across the street!), and tell your staff to push more of what youre good at: your beer and the burgers.

Stopped here on the way back from Estes Park, and was eager to try some new fare, after some good meals at the Oskar Blues in Longmont. Well, this was a huge let down. First, the waitress was down right rude. In the middle of taking our order, she started talking to another patron totally oblivious to us. When she finished her side conversation, there was no "excuse me" or "Im sorry", just picked right back up where she was. This should have been a sign of things to come. My fiance ordered, what used to be his favorite, Old Chub. After a sip, he remarked that it had no taste, or nose to it. It was as if it was watered down. I, on the other hand, had a Wild Orchard cider which was very tasty. Only because, OB does not make it. We ordered Chopped Cobb salads with chicken. The eggs were soggy, the chicken was cold, and the greens were bitter, almost with a dirt taste as if they had not been cleaned. I did not finish my salad. The place was quite dirty and un-kept. The bathroom was disgusting and did not look like it had been cleaned in a few days. All the while, an abundance of workers were standing around not working. We will not be going back, and my fiance is switching to Great Divides Scotch Claymore as his new go to beer. OB, you messed up big time!

We went yesterday for memorial day and should have walked out right when we first got there. They told us the whole restaurant was on a 40 minute wait, which is really hard when you have a two and half year old but we were willing to wait. We waited 15 minutes while the host ran around totally scatter-brained to even put our name down on the list. While we were waiting my son asked for chocolate milk, I figured this would probably help him wait. I went to the bartender to ask for him to make it for my son, totally willing to pay and tip for it. He walked right by me standing there clearly looking at him, I stopped him and asked if he could make me a milk. He ACTUALLY rolled his eyes at me and yelled at one of the waitresses to make it for me over his shoulder and walked away. It was so rude! The waitress was really sweet and made it for me and didnt even make me pay, I think she could tell I was really mad. She was the only positive thing about our experience. We ordered nachos after we finally did get a seat and they were burnt to the plate and pretty gross. I would rather give my money to other places than this horrible place. We will not be back.

Ive been going to Oskar Blues for many years and have always looked forward to drinking and eating there when i get to Lyons on my yearly visit. This visit was so disappointing that I will probably never go back to the restaurant. The beer is always good and I will still partake. But as far as the restaurant its not worth it. The service was the worst I have ever experienced anywhere! Our party of 5 was seated at a booth for 4 small people. The girl that was our server was obviously not happy to be there and extended that on to us. She never smiled and was very sharp with anyone that had a question about the menu. She brought our drinks out and slammed each one down on the table in front of each of us. The drinks ordered from the bar were terrible..we should have stuck to the beer. The food was average.. we wont be returning.

The Oskar Blues Grill & Brew is one of my favorite destinations when driving back from Rocky Mountain National Park. The appetizers are all quite good; I really enjoy their chicken wings, which range from mild to VERY hot! Their sauces are all themed after the various beers that are on offer by Oskar Blues. The burgers are great, and the sides that compliment them never disappoint. The service ranges from okay to bad. Sometimes the service is timely and professional, at other times the staff seem like they dont want to be bothered! The star of the show here, though, is the beer; Oskar Blues has an excellent selection of draft beers, and some seasonal offerings here. Well-worth the stop if youre craving a cold one after a long day!

What a treat to be in the middle of nowhere and find a well known brewery. Im not a yellow pills or dales pale ale fan at all but am glad that it has put em on the map. What I appreciated most about this brewery was its history - started off as a restaurant and turned into a brew pub and now an anti corporate brewery. What I didnt love about the brewery was the prices. A can of the Chaka was $7! Or you could get a 4 pack in their fridge for $14. They thought it was a slight oversight so maybe at the time someone reads this its been updated. What you might also appreciate are the funny notes left between employees on the whiskey barrels in the warehouse. Youll have to go see yourself.

This place is the embodiment of the Colorado attitude. Craft Beer, Rock & Roll is their specialty with a twist of Country to make it cool. They either have a live band or they play alternative rock thru the speakers. The food is casual and tasty. I had the red IPA (GKnight) which was like a soft blanket. My man always drinks the Yella Pills. Prob so he can drive because I cant after the GKnight- its 8% alcohol! (Just kidding! I get a smaller 10oz pour so Im not actually that tipsy like I may be with a full pint. We like the grilled chicken Thai peanut wraps. Yummy! Cruise in on your hog... Or go Boulderite on your road bike. You will even love it by car. Just come. Its well worth it.
