Awful! Clearly gone down hill since the great reviews 4 years ago here on Google. Their own website states their chef has 20 years experience cooking Indian food, well maybe I came here on an off night, as the food I received was not something someone with even 1 month of experience would have cooked. The pre-packaged samosa (you can tell they were pre-packaged as the pastry was puff pastry with forked ends, and dark pre-cooked frozen peas inside, not the filo style pastry many other Indian restaurants make themselves) was over cooked (pastry virtually burnt) and dripping with fat (made my husband sick all night). My onion bhaji were like nothing I have ever eaten (I only managed to eat two and that was enough for me to say enough is enough, this is not good). Again, they were overly fried to a dry crunchy crisp, overly seasoned in I dont know what spices, not the ordinary Indian spices used for these, and with no evidence of the soft onion inside. This appetizer also didnt arrive the same time as my husbands food, I had to ask for it. Im from the UK, the second home of Indian cooking, I have also been to India, I know what good Indian food should taste like. Although Indian food here in Colorado seems hit or miss, there are a handful of good Indian restaurants dotted around here and there, and this is definitely NOT one of them. We cancelled entrees, if you cant get onion bhaji right, there is little hope the rest of the food will be any good. This was supposed to be my wedding anniversary meal, the night was almost a disaster; thankfully we went elsewhere (in Boulder) and had a much better experience.

I live about an hour away from Flavor of India, but had heard from a friend that their Chicken Tikka Masala was very good and happened to be traveling from Boulder to Ft. Collins and near Longmont at lunch time. Didnt have time to dine in, but ordered takeout on my phone. I thought $15 was a bit pricey, but maybe they dont have lunch entrees other than the buffet. Ordered spice level to be "mild" and when I got home to eat a little less than an hour later, found it too spicy for me to eat without repercussions. Ive ordered this dish mild many times from other places with no issues. But I guess Flavors is spicier overall. Lesson learned. And it really wasnt very much. $15 for like 8 small pieces of chicken. However, I can say that it did taste good from my initial taste and the chicken seemed to be of high quality. Perhaps with full dose of acid reducer, I can eat in small portions. Or I can give to a friend, lol.

Everything about our exerpeicne was excellent. My fiancé is very middle of the road with food and it took me forever to convince him to go with me. The waitress was so nice and helpful and wasnt rude when we couldnt pronounce things. She took the time to explain some of the cuisine to us and offered several sauces for my fiancé to try. The food was amazing, to the point where my fiancé said he would come back before our main course even arrived. He had Lamb Bir something. A rice dish. He said the lamb was expertly cooked and some of the best hes ever had. I had Dahl and it was amazing as well as the rice!! To end the experience the owner came over and asked what we thought and took the time to give us recommendations for our trip in next time. Even now my fiancé is talking about the lamb chops he is getting next time. It was a small town experience in a big city and I left with a full stomach and a full heart.

Having lived in the Bay Area for 20 years and having a five-star Indian chef for a brother-in-law, Im more than a little spoiled regarding Indian food. Longmont in general doesnt offer a ton of choices for ethnic food, so when we found this place and learned how good it was, we were delighted! I will say the lunch buffet is not nearly as good as ordering off the menu. I would call it "average" quality. The dinner entrees, though, are usually fantastic. I like the milder side of Indian cooking, and my favorites are the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Saag - rich, creamy sauces, highly flavorful, ample portions. Everyone I know that Ive steered here has been very happy. Like a lot of Indian restaurants, the service is so-so at best and sometimes its awful. The food is good enough to make up for it, though, and often we just do takeout - a nice option!

From reading all the reviews, I was expecting something really great. I took a friend for lunch yesterday and tried the buffett. It was fresh as we came in when they opened, but the flavors werent as powerful as I expected. It was just a little more bland to me with dry chicken pieces with sauce overtop. The buffett line only had 8 items, I was expecting much more. I ordered garlic naan, and I dont think there was any garlic on it. Luckily, they didnt even charge me for it. I dont really care to come back to this place. Ill continue going to Yak & Yeti in Westminster. Their buffet is twice the size of the one here and very powerful flavors.

I like the food. For that alone would give them 5 stars.Excellent lunch buffet. Now what I do not like. A source of irritation is they do not seem to split bill ever even at lunchtime or dinner last 2 times I went and this is awkward with friends or co workers. So they take easy option and expect someone to foot the entire bill as separating it you expected to request this up front. This is hard to tolerate. They are being lazy. Also tight with the naan bread. Asking for extra portion naan they almost take offence and will never offer unless you request it like they give it to you grumpily. So giving them 2 stars for these reasons.

Whenever friends visit us from out of town, we always try to bring them here. When they visit us again, they invariably ask to go to "your Indian place" again. The food is flavorful and adjustable, the kabli nan and chai are fantastic compliments to the meal, and we have yet to be disappointed by anything off the menu or buffet. (The kheer is rather uninspired, but if thats the only bad thing, theyre doing great!) Daman and his staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The warmth of a family-run restaurant spills forward to its customers. I cant recommend this place enough.

The food here is made fresh. The buffet is good but spices are toned down for the masses. Ordering off the menu you can get mild, medium or hot. We prefer off the menu and the staff are very helpful in helping you determine what you may like if you are not certain of Indian food. It is better than most other Indian places in larger towns. I think you need to order at least medium spice to get the feel for what Indian food really can taste like, go hot if you can to get more authentic tastes. Try the buffet if you are spice shy and work your way up.

Flavor of India is pretty darn tasty. Pricy, but darn tasty. The chicken Tikka Masala is second to none, The vindaloo has some kick and is a perfect compliment to eat with the Masala. The rice is nice. The Naan is a must to sop up all the flavor left on the plate! Go with the garlic. Although this was the first Indian restaurant Ive eaten at, it certainly isnt the only. Ive traveled from Ft. Collins to Boulder to Westminster to Cherry Creek and in between trying to find better flavor and have yet to succeed. Keep up the good food Dominick.
