Espressole used to always be at a gold, if not platinum standard in every way; the product (excellent drinks and food), the customer service, the staff, the environment, you name it and they exceeded expectations. My grandmother and I have been customers since the Orchard location. I know Yvonne and Chef Andy well. Well, used to. Anyways, today, such was not the case. My grandma has been coming in every so often, while I havent been in for months. I dont know any of the new staff, and frankly dont care to. The service today confirmed my suspicions of the decline in quality. We came in shortly before closing - a few minutes, fair game for grabbing a drink. Ive been a barista for years. Yet, the woman behind the counter not only had a mouthful of some pastry - highly unprofessional and breaking the health code - but the first words out of her crummy mouth were "Im actually closing up right now." Really? You cant take 3 minutes out of your no doubt hasty cleaning routine, WHILE THE SHOP IS STILL OPEN, and serve the guests that just came through the door? Okay. Great ethic. Continue to stuff your mouth and turn away customers because it inconveniences you to keep the doors unlocked for 2 more minutes. Ill make sure that I let my friends know how the once golden staff has declined and the product, likely, along with it (a poor barista makes a poor drink).

Esspressole is one of those random coffee shops in a business district that youd expect to be a terrible mom and pop shop that bring the worst of everything. A second glance and youll find this spot is a hidden gem leveraging the Colaneri school next-door for all their food. Breakfast burrito - Goooooooooood. Breakfast sandwich on croissant - Gooooooood. Lunch menu - Gooooooooooood. Coffee - Gooooooooooooood. Listen up people - you cant get a pour over just anywhere. And some places that serve them shouldnt. Esspressole does it and does it right. Youll also be pleasantly surprised to see an animal face smiling back at you in your latte, mocha, or cappuccino. Ive yet to discover if they only do this for regulars or the common folk. Either way, its not like 3rd grade art - these baristas know what theyre doing AND make you feel like your friends. Cheers ladies! So whether youre grabbing a coffee to go or want to camp out upstairs,espressos is a cozy spot no matter what youre looking for. Cheers my people.

I enjoyed a good sandwich and a very nice Americano. As a self proclaimed coffee snob, I was pleased with the light and somewhat fruity flavor of the coffee. I would certainly visit again. The staff seemed friendly and knowledgeable. Pricing was also fair. UPDATE: Upon subsequent visits for coffee, Ive found the coffees to be consistently good and prepared by people who actually know coffee.

Mistakenly walked in when they were closed, and was met by the rudest person I have encountered in a long time. She said, "Ummm, were closed, there are 3 different signs out there" in the nastiest way possible. I dont know anything about their food or coffee, but I guess customer service is not important to this company.

I come here often for lunch and hot chocolate. Everything is delicious. They also have cooking classes here which you can watch through the glass when your food is being prepared which is fun.

Great coffee, friendly baristas, decent food. The coffee is so much better vs Starbucks or any of chain coffee stores. As good as the stuff I brew on my espresso machine at home.
