Had a bad experience with a new waitress, her name was Diane. First she comes to our table and says what do you want, not are you ready to order. Me and my girl friend were like WOW. So we order and the food takes a little while. I ask Diane for a refill on my drink, she picks up my glass with her fingers inside my glass. I tell her that I would like a clean glass cause she put her fingers in my glass which is a health hazard, she rolled her eyes. I watched her to make sure she used a clean glass. She brings the food and sits herself down at our table and starts talking, we were like what the hell. She sits for about 5-10 minutes finally I have to ask her to leave our table, cause we want to enjoy our meal. She gets up and comes right back to our table with the bill, we hadnt even finished our meal yet. She didnt return to our table to see if we needed anything after she left the bill. Diane is rude, unprofessional, she didnt speak to us in a professional manner, then sits at our table and starts talking. WOW! This waitress needs to be terminated, if I was a health inspector she would cause this business a lot of trouble. Dont get me wrong McCoys food is excellent and its open 24 hours. I give Diane 0 stars, I give McCoys 4 Stars.

This place has the worst service I have recieved in a long time. I ordered my food at 11:06. I ordered the captains platter and the spaghetti with meat sauce with italian sausage and meatballs. We picked up the food at about 11:40. We didnt check the food til we got hom and while we were happy with seafood, the spaghetti was actually linguini and the sauce was so dry it was like tomato paste. I was not happy with the italian sausage either as instead of real chunks of plump juicy sausage I got diced processed nasty chewy stuff they called sausage. I immediately called the waitress back (this was around midnight now) and the waitress rudely told me that we took too long to come get our food and thats why it was so dry. She also said the manager wasnt there and they couldnt give a refund. I said I would call back in the morning. I did. The manager told me his waitresses informed him I took over an hour to get my food. This is a lie. They said I was very rude and combative over the phone which is another lie. I was extremely calm and nice. All I wanted was to have my food remade, but they were reluctant to even do that for me. The food sucks, the service sucks even worse, DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR MONEY!!!!

Love coming here for lunch. All the food is great. But I was disappointed with the service. My daughter took me there for lunch for my birthday on the 17th of March and the food was great but we ordered a to-go order in the middle of our meal. We waited 45 minutes past the time that we finished eating with an 8 year old boy I asked the waitress where was the to go order and she finally brought it out with an excuse saying that they werent doing any to-go orders and thats why it took so long. I was late to work. Thats called lack of communication she should have informed us that it would take longer than she anticipated because the cooks were not able to do to-go orders. I did not even get an apology for their lack of communication the waitress did not get a tip this time. This is the first time Ive ever been upset with the service at McCoys. She could have told us that it was going to take longer my daughter could have gotten some food for her fiancé elsewhere I was over 30 minutes late back to work.

Appearances can be deceiving. It would be too easy to write off McCoys as another rough-around-the edges, greasy spoon next to an on-ramp. But you would do so at your peril. I used to work in the neighborhood and got in to McCoys more frequently than I do now but Im glad to report theyre still cracking out some solid fare with good service at a reasonable price. They have an extensive breakfast menu -they really shine there - but have a wide range of sandwiches and hot plates. Last night [2/27] I had ridden a bus to get to an event at Regis and stopped by McCoys for old times sake. I was just going to have a cup of coffee but opted for a bowl of their wonderful beef vegetable soup, which would take the chill off a brisk February night. It did and it was excellent; so generous in ingredients, its more like a stew than soup. The waitress says shes got customers who drive for miles to come in just for that soup. I believe her and after being there, you will too.

Its a good old-fashioned diner! Five stars for doing it well. Its not gourmet except that most of the ingredients seem to be fresh and food is prepared on site (as in not from a can or a bulk freezer). I see the chef there most times, actively working. I think he is also the owner. As we all know by now, diner food isnt all that healthy, right? If healthy food is what youre looking for the McCoys menu will be somewhat limited for you, but not completely. Also has a full bar (think Bloody Marys for breakfast), but manages to be family-friendly in spite of that. Convenient location - right at the corner of Federal Boulevard and I-70. Friendly staff (but not too friendly). Open 24 hours. Prices are good.

Gave it a 3 star because of the staff. Stayed at the Motel 6 which is behind Mccoys. Went to McCoys several times over the couple weeks at Motel 6. Food was good but the waitresses are consistant with snobby unfriendly service. One of my biggest issues which a couple of the them did was they could not even take the time to stand there and take you order. They start to walk away from you while you are still talking - resulting my order not being right 3 times. Few times i walked in and was not even acknowledged. They just walked back and forth like i was not there. I would never go out of the way or even if i was driving by to stop in and eat. The crappy service does not out weigh the food

This may have been my 10 visit in the last few months. Morning or evening...Been to McCoys all times of day... Service is excellent, the food is fantastic and the prices are great... I absolutely love the Butch Cassidy...A roast beef grilled cheese with green chillies stuff full of meat and melted cheese ...A side of their home made potato chips...( Thick cut and dried crisp, but still tender in the middle and seasoned with a dash of salt.... This is my go to ... Ive had several dishes...Each is well packed and stacked high...Big appetites are satisfied!!!! Also try the San Francisco sandwich!!! This was todays try ...Yummy!!!

Classic diner food done relatively well, served up 24 hours a day. Get breakfast for dinner or dinner for breakfast. Fast service. Great prices. This joint is a North Denver institution. They have an impressive menu that mainly consists of traditional American fare along with a decent number of Mexican and Italian dishes. Variety of sandwiches, burgers, skillets and omelettes. Always great daily specials. Breakfast is awesome. Great shredded hash browns. Steaks are fresh and consistently char-broiled to the correct doneness. Some of the best French toast Ive ever had. Huge fresh salad bar.
