Went for the Japan v USA World Cup "viewing party" that they advertised. First of all, upstairs wasnt opened until twenty minutes before the game began, so they let people line up and then make a mad dash for tables once the upstairs door opened, which of course results in some people who had been waiting twenty minutes for a seat getting shafted. The bar also only seats about fifty total and any party larger than four is SOL because none of the tables are large enough. Being a viewing party, youd think theyd expect a lot of business and plan accordingly. Instead, there were four bartenders and one cook. The result of this poor planning was me ordering food at kickoff and literally not receiving it until the game was over, with my bbq pork on Texas toast coming un-toasted and the quesadilla distinctly lacking cheese. I honestly felt sorry for the poor cook who was slammed, but even then, it took over 90 minutes to get a quesadilla... without cheese. Id have complained and gotten my money back, but it honestly wasnt worth the time to find a manager in this fiasco, so we just left, never to return again.

Normally there seems to be one good bartender and one not so good. By good I mean helpful and curtious. Often it seems the prices change with the staff from decent to over priced. I suggest paying with a card and getting a copy of your Bill. Recently a watched one person pay by card get 3 tacos and a call liquor, jack, for $9. The second person paying cash got a call their first was $7, deep eddy, their second beverage was $10, titos. As a bar manager for 12 years I am sorry but I would have refused that drink/price. I decided it was time to leave. I do not trust this ...Thank you to all of you honest service industry workers.

I live right around the corner and want this place to be my awesome local bar, but they just cant seem to get it together. Last night was the second time this week Ive sat at the bar for 15 minutes without being acknowledged and ended up leaving to go somewhere else. Some staff can be nice, but in the 2 years Ive been going here, Ive had more negative experiences than positive. Also had a backpack stolen and was told I couldnt look at the security footage.

Third time Ive been here for UFC and they have like 30 minutes of technical problems before theyre able to start showing the fights. Owners register on the UFC website when theyre going to show a fight, and this bar was confirmed on there for all three events. If youre going to commit to showing it, at least make sure youve got the technical problems worked out ahead of time. Would given it a one, but the food is good and the wait staff is very nice.

Seems its hard to get a drink unless the bartender knows you when its busy here. 3rd time in a row here it takes 20 minutes to get a drink at the bar. Edit.....here again for a UFC fight. Once again regulars at the bar get served, people the tatted up bartender doesnt know has to wait. So ill keep the 50 bucks I was gonna drink away tonight in my pocket. You on obviously dont want strangers money

The lower bar is an excellent Colfax dive/sports bar. Always good drinks and good service. The upper bar, open Fridays and Saturdays is the best deal in Denver for craft cocktails.

Great, rotating beer selection and they are all $4(!) at happy hour. Cheap tacos on Tues, Thurs, and Fri and nacho deals and all night happy hour on Monday.
