I have been eating at this restaurant for almost two years and it is one my kids favorite restaurants. However, I stopped by there last weekend with four co-workers from Spain. I had promised them that the food and service was excellent and that they would love it. When we arrived everything seemed great we ordered our drinks and then waited. After about 15 minutes our drinks arrived and then we ordered our food and appetizers. After about 25 minutes our appetizers arrived we quickly ate them and patiently waited for our meals. We waited 45 minutes before I got up and found the waitress to ask her what was taking so, long. She informed me that our food would be out soon and that this is how they do it at this restaurant. I said, "No, Ive been coming here for quite some time and have never had to wait this long for my food." I also informed her that I was quite aware that they had just purchased the restaurant from the old owners. She sent me back to my table where we waited and additional 20 minute before getting up and going to the cash register. A man came out of the kitchen and when he saw all 6 of us standing there he quickly ran back into the kitchen. We called for our waitress who had been hiding in the kitchen and after about 10 minutes she cam out and said our food was now ready. I explained to her that we were ready for our check. She brought out the check and was charging us for every beer even though they run a 2 for 1 special on Coors and Corona. I told her I was not going to pay for every beer because she needed to honor the add they have on the tables and on the front of the restaurant. She went back into the kitchen and adjusted the amount. Im not sure why the old owner sold the restaurant but I am so sad that the quality in service went down so quickly. I really hope the new owners can pull there act together or else I just dont see this restaurant surviving much longer.

We ordered to-go food: Chicken biryani and Chicken Vadala (Spicy). Chicken Biryani was the worrsssssssssssssssttttt food I ever had in my life. We were so hungry to eat food, but we could not eat, they kept sooooooooooooo much red chilli that there was not even a bit of biryani taste, all we can taste is uncooked red chilli, it looks like the chef just kept 5 or 10 spoons of red chilli mix with piece of chicken and rice like fry rice. (Even fried rice in other restaurant would be 100 percent better than this indian Express biryani), there was no raita or gravy. All we can taste is red chilli which goes directly to your throat and sickens you. Please, dont ever ever order food from this restaurant if you are a biryani lover, this restaurant will spoil your hunger and taste. Also, besides food, there was no napkins, no spoons and the chicken vadala is also no good. Now, even thinking of that food, my tummy hurts like anythg, we threw all the foods. Its my strong recommendation to everyone, never ever eat or order food there, its a poison for you. They serve the waste food.

if you want to be treated like crap, you can go to this place. also the rice were very dry (hard) and the food are not tasty. I just put little food from the buffet, want to try what I would eat, because mostly indian food will taste different from place to place and also I am not a spicy food fan; I was kind of confused that day because I was sick and trying to get hold of my friend in the phone, then I got surprised with this rude guy bringing me my bill and asked me "are you done bro?? ( I was not in there for more than 15 or 20 min!!!), and I am like really?? but to dont stress myself more that day I just choose to tell him yes I am done and I paid and left. I will never go over there anymore nor recommend it to somebody. I wonder all the 5 stars the have here are fake. Save your money and pride and go to a different place where you can get some nice food and good customer service.

This place is a poor excuse for an Indian restaurant. The buffet was the worst I have ever seen. Some of the food had obviously been warmed up and used from the night before; everyone knows the texture of reheated food that had previously been fried...pure rubber. When I had voiced my concern the only reply from the extremely rude hostess was that the inspector was just there and had given approval. I had never asked anything about inspection; I only stated how poor the food quality was. Not an answer I wanted to hear for obvious reasons!!! She than voiced that even though my guest and I hadnt touched our food after the first bite, we would still have to pay for the buffet! The one clincher about the hideous buffet was that they were serving beef meatballs like the frozen kind you find at Costco!!!!!!! Isnt the cow considered sacred in India???? Enter at your own risk!!!

Ordered their food for delivery. It arrived in just under an hour. The Samosas were as tough as leather and the bhaji had been fried into extinction. They were dark and hard as a rock. For my entree, I ordered the lamb korma and my boyfriend tried the chicken tikka masala. Both sauces were ok, Little Indias are WAY better, and I swear that they were the exact same sauce. Anyone that knows Indian food knows that a Masala and a Korma should not look and taste exactly the same. Also, it was a full quart of sauce with only a few small chunks of meat. Mine was supposed to have nuts and raisins as well. I think I had about two nuts and three raisins in my serving. It was pretty pitiful. We tried India Express because it was a little cheaper than Little India but we wont make the same mistake again. You definitely get what you pay for.

The staff was very nice & the location was very convenient. I was a little nervous walking in, because their entire front window was covered in pictures of the beer they sell. Dont judge a book by its cover, though, because inside was pretty nice. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala & the Chicken Korma along with a Peshwari Naan & a Garlic Naan. Both of us agreed that the curry had a nice consistency & that the chicken itself was cooked very well. The sauce was pretty bland & had no detectable spices in it. The naan bread itself was nice, but they added too much garlic to one & the sweetness of the peshwari was strange (definitely not sugar & honey). Not the best curry Ive had, but far from the worst curry Ive had. It satisfied my craving, but I will be going to other places to try & find my "curry spot"

Its great food if you can get there when theyre open. The past few times were tried to go theyve been "closed" for various reasons. This last time we even called ahead and were told their buffet was served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. but when we got there at 1:45 we walked in and were told they were closed. We tried to explain that we had just called and were told otherwise but the manager came over and rudely told us to read the hours on the door. I have been coming here for years. The food has improved since the new management has taken over however its a poor trade-off for the outstanding service the previous managers always provided. Ill drive all the way to Yak and Yeti in Westminster before Ill go back to India Express.
