So the food is amazing!!! Ive been here once a week with my wing loving boyfriend for the last 3 months. Yeah its that good. Our most recent visit was a Sunday night at 8, they are doing this new waiting system, of course there are kinks. We give them our number they said theyd call when they had a table in 25 minutes. They called in 9 minutes and told us we were sitting at the community table. Not really giving an option. I am a bartender, hes waited tables before, we get it. We go up to the counter not stoked to be eating at the community table, mind you four big people are already sitting there, its hard to be comfortable. We place our order with miss curly sue. No eye contact, no smile, no hey how are you, just what do you want in a filtered state. We ask her if we can just do to go and last minute I change my sauce to his so make 18 buffalo so that its quick and easy. At this point an actual table opens up. We ask if there is a wait on it, there isnt we take it cool. We go back up to her, not even 3 minutes from placing the order and ask if we could eat here. She says yeah, looks irritated, We stress that we are super sorry. I throw 6 in the tip jar. I hate being "those people". Then we waited....and waited....and waited. We ordered 18 wings, sweet potato fries, and a salad. Should have been 35 minutes on a busy night. We waited an hour. We see our food finally come in and the guy is carrying a bag and drops it feet from our table on the floor. Says sorry everything looks fine and walks away. French fries are soggy, wing sauce is all over the bag, salad was great. I am pissed at this point. We ask why it came out to go be said that "They dont change orders from take in to dine out." I will still come back, probably not for a while, but the wings are that good. Advice for the newbie: Check it out be amazed by the wings. Seriously the best on Denver. Dont hold your breath for service. Dont hold your breath for loyalty either, they sell this small restaurant family vibe well, but that definitely not the case. Your typical stereotype of a millennial will be there though.

These were possibly THE best buffalo wings I have ever had. I was in town from Minneapolis to Denver and I am a bit of a wing connoisseur. I travel quite a bit, and any time I go to a new city I need to see what their wing scene is like. I Googled "Best buffalo wings in Denver" and up came Fire on the Mountain. It was pretty close to my hotel so I called in an order. I went there to grab them and loved the environment. Lots of craft brews. Relaxed environment, friendly staff, games on TV. If you eat there you order at the front, take a number sign to your table, and they bring it to you. Got back to my hotel with my wings, I got some bone-in and boneless wings. I didnt love the boneless wings, which is unusual because at a lot of places Ive ended up liking their boneless wings more than their traditional. (I love bone in wings, but nowadays so many places have rubbery fatty big wings that I hate) But their traditional wings were incredible. A good amount of meat on them. And I mean good tender meat, not rubbery fatty meat. The sauces on them were delicious. (I got Mild and Hot). I got fries as well and dipped them in the remaining buffalo sauce which was delicious. All in all, by the end I was stuffed full of wings and groaning in content sprawled out on my hotel bed. I have a favorite wing place here in Minnesota that when I want wings, its always the place I crave first and foremost. But now.. Ill always crave Fire OTM and have to settle for my place here in MN. I feel like I cheated on my wife for a one night stand with a beautiful mistress in another city, and Ill never look at my wife with the same passion and desire I did before. Some day I will come back to Denver and re-indulge myself in my carnal desires. And yes, Im still talking about chicken wings.

I do not usually review but five stars is hard to find! My partner and I were in denver for a short amount of time (live up in the mountains) but we wanted to stop and have dinner before we went back. A friend recommended this and we were incredibly pleased! Really cute area. We ordered a batch of their fried pickles (I usually hate pickle spears, usually hoping for pickle chips) but these were amazing and flavorful! The dipping sauce (Chipotle Mayo) they came with was a bit overpowering for my taste but still delicious. He got the Jerk Chicken Sandwich and I got the house made Black Bean Burger (with a side of their cilantro lime sauce on a whim for 50 cents. This sauce was made for this burger. Not really but it is sooo good together). Best veggie burger Ive had in a long time. Also, can try any of the sauces when you walk in. Didnt grab a beverage but the rotating draft menu looked great! They are a counter service restaurant but still bring your food out to you and everyone was incredibly friendly. Cashier explained everything well, including that I could sub out fries for a side salad without extra cost and any side upcharge is only if you want to sub your side for one of their delicious apps (~$2 for subbing)! They cleared our plates and table as well so no walking around trying to figure out where to put your bins. Tip them well people! I know they are known for their wings but give their sandwiches a try! Such great flavors! The only downside to our experience was we were miserably FULL when we left (and took to-go containers). Probably not the worst problem to have ;)

Dont go here. The food was delicious, the people were very friendly, the environment was fun, but their sauces had me in the bathroom in less than 5 minutes, and continuously in the bathroom the remainder of the night. Im from the south, and am addicted to the spiciest of food, but never have I felt as especially uncomfortable in my gut as I did after their wings. They provide samples of each sauce before you order and we ordered sauce that seemed to be spicy but flavorful and manageable, but while the spice was ok for my pallette, whatever pepper or spice they included just gutted me in excruciating pain. First indegestion and then the rest. The same happened to my girlfriend who ordered something much less spicey, but she couldnt touch the food. The staff was kind enough to swap out her food for something edible, but the damage had been done and were still feeling the indegestion and bathroom pains. The food was very delicious, but I dont want to die for a tastey chicken wing.

My wife and I just moved to CO from VA and one of the first restaurants we decided to try in the area was Fire On The Mountain. I got the Jamaican Jerk sandwich, while she got the Sam and Bens Sweet BBQ Chicken sandwich. I would have taken pictures, but the food smelled so good we kind of forgot about anything else and just ate. The chicken on my sandwhich was reasonably spicy and the pineapple on it made things balance out nicely. The bread looked/felt/tasted like home made bread which added a lot to the sandwhich. Being our first time here we both got the default side of fries and found the seasoning to be slightly sweet and slightly savory. Im not sure whats in it, but I finished my fries before my sandwhich. My wife also greatly enjoyed her BBQ sandwhich and insisted we put FotM on our favorites list. Clearly well be back again.
