Over the years the local dining scene along Colfax has greatly improved, but there were still a few boxes left to be checked: urban chic ambiance, elegant yet comfortable outdoor space, unique but approachable menu, and truly exceptional service. I expected the neighborhood to gain dining concepts offering maybe one or two of these things over the coming years, but then Chow popped up out of nowhere and left nothing to be desired. Ive been in twice and its plainly apparent that their chef takes great pride in his work and their management and servers really care about the service theyre providing. After dining at many restaurants during their opening weeks, I have to say the lack of hiccups during my visits really does say a lot about the team that they assembled. Hopefully(for locals) Chow remains a hidden gem where you can just walk in, but I wouldnt be surprised if, once word gets out, it becomes a reservations encouraged kind of place.

This place is great! Weve been twice now and really enjoyed our dinner. Both times, it was a lovely summer evening and the patio was fabulous, and we wondered why it wasnt more busy. I really hope this place catches on. They do upgraded takes on classic dishes. So while you might not be blown away by what you read on the menu, youll probably be impressed by the quality once you try it. You can tell that a lot of thought has been put into each dish. I think this place will become a regular spot for us, especially in the summer. Their patio is definitely one of the best on Colfax.

We really, really like Urban Chow. The staff is friendly and helpful,the food is very good, prices are fair and the service is great. Nice people! The food has gotten better and better since they first opened, and their happy hour offerings are great. In particular, the salads are very well made and interesting, and the lamb burger and prime burger are incredible. The prime burger is the best burger in Denver, hands down. Portions are good too. We go to Urban Chow when we want great food in a comfortable, attractive setting. If its warm outside, the patio is a great place to sit!

I have never had worse service in my life! I went there with my boyfriend, we were seated near the bar and after 45 minutes of absolutely *no* service -- we were told our waiter would be with us any moment several times, but never were asked for as much as a drink order -- we walked out. The place wasnt particularly busy and frequently there was a gaggle of wait staff just lounging around at the bar completely oblivious to the fact that wed been sitting there forever and hadnt ordered a thing.

We live in the neighborhood and have really tried to like this place. Service is so so, wait time is pretty long for drinks, apps and dinner and the portions are on the small side. Expect $12 for a small salad with no protein. It is clean and quite (mostly because no one is there). Last time we were in we spent $58, without alcohol, and left hungry and disappointed.

The service was terrible. He never asked if we needed anything or checked up to see how the food was. There was one server sleeping in a booth and our server was simply sitting at the bar on his cell phone. The appetizers were decent and the margarita sandwich was good, but the salads were average at best and way overpriced. We were disappointed.

Food is top notch and delicious. Enough options for even the picky. Service is good (even if those water glasses get ignored occasionally). A little pricy for the instep, but great location and darn good food. I recommend for a date night or a casual night with buddies. The couches are a nice touch! Totally hope this place is around for years.

Havent wined n dined there yet, but did a drive by/ walk by today.... the place looks fabulous. Awesome patio.. awesome decor. And best part...its in my neighborhood!! A mere 8 blocks walking distance to my house!!!! This corner of the fax....finally!!... Made a turn for the better. Hope to see ya there this summer!

The food was really good and the servers were very nice. I went for brunch with some friends and we sat out on the patio which was really nice and open. Their brunch menu does seem kind of small and expensive but you get a lot of food and its really good (as previously mentioned).

Known for their delicious lamb burger, which I found to be on par with others in town. The Fig and Goat Cheese flat bread is a must have and a great wine selection. Good for couples or groups and indoor/outdoor seating.

Great place to enjoy Colfax. The cool evening air on the open and inviting patio reminds me of summertime city-life. The food is really good and the menu is quite eccelectic. Smoked Spanish Octopus to Lamb Burger.

We got the lamb burger and one of the flatbreads and both were delicious! Our food came out quickly and their cocktails were amazing! The patio was beautiful!! I will definitely keep coming back!

6 months ago I gave this place 2 stars because a Coors light was $7! But now the food is much better and the prices are better. Food is good and bartenders are friendly. Love the patio!

Id have given 5 stars but they were under staffed and we had to wait for refills for quite awhile. The food is amazing. Would definitely recommend the patio on nice days.
