Good food, good drinks, beyond great service. Showed up around 8 PM on a Friday night with 11 people. The hostess really tried accommodating us in the main dining room but couldnt arrange it. Upon noticing two adjacent 4 tops in the bar area she seated us there with us knowing we might have to hover/stand. The waiter being slammed with a large group along with his regular tables was great. He took time to answer questions and was patient with the inevitable indecision. After a round of drinks an adjacent table opened up and the staff quickly made it available to us. Drinks and food were delivered pretty quickly considering the size of our group. We were all drinking cocktails that had to be handmade by the bartender, so the quick turnaround on drinks was great and were very tasty. The food service was equally fast and very good. Again, on receiving the bill, the waiter completely accommodated our various payment requirements. Wish I lived in Denver so I could frequent this restaurant. Which, BTW, looked like they had a fair amount of regulars at the bar.

This place is fabulous! The food is excellent. Quality and freshness. I had the foccacia crusted shrimp and my husband had the lamb. The waiter was very nice and service was exceptional. The hostess was even super welcoming! I drank a couple of cosmos with dinner, they were good, but maybe could have been a little more generous with the alcohol. Just a little flat tasting. The restaurant definitely reflects old school supper club. Which is awesome. But in big need of updating. Updates should definitely be in keeping with the 30s and 40s. Also the bathrooms need a huge update. Overall 4 out of 5 stars for our experience. The food made the experience worth while. My husband & I chose Avenue Grill to celebrate 22 years marriage due to a recommendation from my parents who also raved about the food!

We came in with a group for Easter Brunch, they squeezed us into a very small crowded corner, where ther waiters had to run into us everytime they had to walk anywhere. Then when it came to ordering food the waiter took half the parties order, walked off and didnt take the rest of the parties order. The back room is very out of place and doesnt feel like part of the restaurant. Ive been here for an hour now, and I almost have a half of glass of water, only because the ice in the cup when we got here melted that mug. Its been an hour and a half and still no food. Maybe its just busy, but the service is horrible! Almost every order brought out was wrong. On top of it all at one point my girlfriend got got hit in the head with the waiters water jug. Will not be back.

Without question, in my opinion, the finest restaurant in Denver, Colorado and maybe the world. I have never had a bad meal from the establishment, the staff are the friendliest people you would ever want to meet, and the place oozes class. Everyone is treated and made to feel like a VIP and you are instantly "home" and part of the "in crowd." The food is so good it will make you slap your mother, twice if she makes excuses. I would eat here exclusively, everyday, for every meal, for the rest of my life. Monday night is prime rib night. Dont miss it or your week will be ruined. Get the picture? Look no further. Heaven, Nirvana, Shangri La, or World Peace is within your grasp. Trust me on this one.

Slow service but great food! Went during the lunch hour with a few coworkers and the place seemed nice and folks were dressed business casual. Lunch entrees are between $12-$18 on average. I ordered the fish special which was a bacon wrapped cod with asparagus and french fries (I switched out the mashed potatoes for french fries since they looked so good!) I loved the cod, it was delicate and light and cooked nicely. The bacon was crispy on outside, but seemed under cooked underneath, it wasnt quite to my liking, but the dish was overall 4 out of 5.

We are on vacation from Wisconsin, and were turned away because of a "vertical ID" - Im 49 years old, have been all over these United States and have never heard of such a thing. Furthermore, they us that we most restaurants wont accept them, yet we had no problem at several restaurants and bars in the same neighborhood. We cant speak for the food, as we were not about to be patronize such ridiculousness.

OMG the martinis here are to die for!!! They are so good and the liquor in them is for sure in them! The food is very good as well. This is a nicer, fancier place, but very good and the service is great. Expect to pay a little more than average for your meal and the decor is fancy and fun too. Itd be great for an anniversary or special occasion...they have a room you can rent out as well I believe.

Good place for Sunday brunch. Went there with a few friends on Sunday, everyone got their food within 30 minutes later and mine took about an hour. Kept asking the staff, and they didnt seem to know whats going on in their own kitchen. Other tables who arrived later than us got their food while I was still waiting. I will give it another shot, maybe it was a bad day for them overall!

We ate here for the first time last night. The lamb chops were excellent! The atmosphere was cool, and our serve was super friendly and attentive. The wine was also excellent. The food came out hot and fresh, not as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The crowd was a bit older, mostly in their 50s, but we were out for an early dinner. Will definitely visit again!

I really liked this place. The oysters are incredible, so fresh, so tasty. The waiter was amazing and gave us great advice on what to order. To start, I had the crab cakes so yummy, I could have just kept on eating them. I had the lobster with coleslaw, and asked for my lobster to be DE-shelled. Portions were large, and I came away full and very satisfied!

We stopped at the Avenue for dinner before a concert. I decided to have the New York Steak. Oh my goodness, this was one of the softest pieces of meat Ive ever had. The food was amazing. The service, just as good. Our waiter was attentive and made sure that we were taken care of. Im definitely a fan, and will definitely be going back

My boss orders to go here all the time and now I am addicted to their Veggie burger! I eat a lot of meat but this veggie burger beats any hamburger I have ever had . I never been inside to eat yet I am sure their service is just as good as their food. Thanks for making a veggie burger that is actually amazing!

GREAT PLACE TO EAT! So happy that we just happened to walk into this establishment while on vacation! I was blown away with the food on the menu, the service, ect... It was an all around home run for us! I will be back on my next vacation, and would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this place. Absolute 10 out of 10!
