I give this restaurant two stars, and solely only because my server was nice. My first problem with La Unica was that their chips were stale and nearly inedible, in my opinion having good chips and salsa at a mexican restaurant is key, serving mediocre chips and salsa is a pretty big red flag for me, because first impressions are important. I went on to order the cheese enchilada plate, which at twelve dollars seemed a little overpriced, still I had hopes that the food would make up for the terrible chips. However I was wrong I was able to finish my plate, but there was just nothing special about the plate, it was the most basic enchilada dish you can imagine, with what I imagine to be the cheapest ingredients available. Bottom line, I walked into the place without very high standards for it at all, and I still left dissappointed.

Anything but authentic, the waitres came two our table after 10 min to bring the menu, drinks $1.75 for a can pop no free refills. I ordered beef enchiladas when she brought the plate it looked like caned beef chunks, asked if they could make ground beef she said they didnt serve it that way but they would only I would have to pay for both plates. We told her we wouldnt be eating the first order she did not respond. My family ordered fajitas the first time they came to the table and werent eve sizzling fajitas? It was a 4 pieces of fat with Bell peppers that werent even cooked not to mention it wasnt fresh meat. Nothing good to say....manitou guests stay away your better off going to taco bell!

A family of 3 from Chicago (visiting their critically ill daughter at a local hospital) came to this establishment today to eat (7/13/17). The wife/mother of this family has a registered/licensed service dog as defined by the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) & had documentation attached to the dogs "Service Vest". This restaurant violated the Federal ADA laws and would not allow this lady to bring her service dog in. The middle aged female with dark hair and braces told the family she was allergic to dogs. BEWARE! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE.

Very polite young man waited on me. Food was excellent!!! Fresh ingredients. Perfect mix of flavors. Exceeded expectation in every way. Sorry if others had a less-than-awesome experience. My experience was great. I will be back and will bring visitors here. Kuddos!!

Fabulous evening with nine at our table. Greetings from all the staff, room filled with chatter, and margaritas to die for. The food superb---enchiladas, carnitas, scallops, chile rellenos----what more could we ask for---oh, salsas and guacamole! Oh, yum.

We have been eating there for years and think it has the best Mexican food in town. Each one of the staff has always treated extremely well. My wife and I will allways recommend this little restaurant.

Really good food! The server was nice and friendly! The only negative input is they only had 3 soda options, and the food itself (not rice and beans) were a little small...but overall delicious!

This is clearly the best Mexican around. The presentation is great and the menu has outstanding variety.

Service was good but prices were fairly high for the blandness of the food.
