Beware! BEWARE! This is not a real Peruvian Restaurant!

Me and my husband were really looking forward to try some Peruvian food so we decided to give this place a try. Talk about disappointment! I ordered the 1/4 chicken (breast and wing) and was told they only had a wing left. So I decided I would try the dark meat (leg and thigh) and asked if they had that. The employee then responds with "Umm Ill just show you what we have left". She then walks over to a heater lamp and pulls out a container that looked like it had come from the King Soopers next door of the remaining bits of a rotessier chicken! You know the container with the black bottom and clear top, the ones that all grocery stores and Walmart sell their rotisserie chickens in SMH! We walked out after seeing that. I should have known better when I didnt see any chickens cooking. This place is a rip off. If you want Peruvian food and not King Soopers deli dont waster your time here.

Saw them on GrubHub and decided to visit in person. Went to sit down and got a phone call and had to make my order to go. The gentleman who took my order was very nice and understanding. After the order went back to the kitchen it took about 10 minutes flat. We were given free chips and salsa while we waited but the salsa was spicy so I got a drink (lol). Ordered the fajitas (chicken, beef, shrimp) with flour tortillas and a shredded chicken burrito. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The chicken burrito was decently spicy without being overwhelming to where you cant eat it. The fajitas were scalding hot still by the time I at them after a 10 min ride. I will be ordering from GrubHub or stopping in if I have the time. The place is small and maybe seats 20. The have outside seating for nice days and also advertise free wifi if you trust random peoples networks.

Prior to stumbling upon 2 Luchos, I knew nothing of Peruvian cuisine except that they had potatoes. The first time we went there, we (inadvertently) tormented the waitress and one of the owners with questions about just about everything and ended up ordering one of the most popular dishes, lomo salteado, which was outstanding. Since then, weve been back two more times. I keep sampling down the menu, now having tried most of the side dishes, the chicken, the ceviche, the lomo salteado and the anticuchos de corazon (beef heart) while my girlfriend was enamored with and has ordered nothing but the lomo salteado. Everything is top notch, fantastic food and the owners obviously care about their food, their customers, their business and their integrity. We will go again, and I hope that someday, we actually leave enough room to try the dessert options.

After reading the previous review, I had felt the need to write because it had sounded very biased and quite racist. Calling people gringos and chicanos isnt going to make your review appear very credible. I also had no idea that being half peruvian and living there for a few years made you in expert in all things Peru. I came in last Friday and had gotten 1/4 dark and aji de gallina. As someone from Peru, it was great to eat food that had reminded me of my home. The aji had the bright yellow coloring and distinct flavor that you look for in the dish. The chicken was the best pollo a la brasa Ive had in the US. The staff was very attentive and the owner had taken time to tell me about the oven straight from Peru. It was a great experience and they should be expecting me back in the near future.

Broaden your horizons! If youre looking to try some food that youve never tasted before, you found the place! My girlfriend and I shared 3 different dishes (took one home) and a couple of deserts, and all of it was absolutely delicious! When I come into the Springs from Limon, I usually chose from a couple of different favorite restaurants, 2 Luchos is now at the top of that list. Unique and delicious! (edited 11-01-15) P.S. Click "Truth B-tolds" name, and youll see that this miserable hater has posted 26 reviews; almost every one of them only one star, so two stars is above average for it.

Tonight I enjoyed the 1/4 dark meat chicken with a delightful sauce along with the Peruvian beans and tostones. They provided me with some kinda sauce to go along with the tostones that I was leary of at first taste but once I dipped them into the sauce my mouth experienced a wonderful explosion of yummmieness. The skin on the chicken was crispy and the meat was juicy along with being some of the most flavorful that Ive had. I was astonished how quick my food came out, it kinda concerned me even, but everything was on point.

I love peruvian Chicken. I went in after work to pick up dinner for the family. When I ordered, the clerk conferred with a gentleman at a table the (presumed owner). I thought it was a bit odd, but figured it out when I got home. They chicken wasnt ready yet, so they sold me two dry half chickens straight out of the Safeway grocery store boxes. I will be returning this afternoon, with a half-eaten chicken and demanding a refund. WHAT A RIP-OFF!

Ownership has changed. Theyve added Mexican food to the menu and offer free chips and salsa. I love Mexican food, but it is not to be confused with Peruvian cuisine! The Peruvian dishes we had were sorely lacking. My husband is Peruvian, weve taken trips to Peru... we KNOW our Peruvian food. Not to mention, my son found two hairs in his arroz chaufa. The staff and service was GREAT, were just sad to have lost our go-to Peruvian place!
