Let me preface that we have been to Silla many times prior, but I need to express our disappointment in the service we encountered last Sunday evening. Silla is typically a great Korean restaurant; great ambiance, service and exceptional Korean food. We quickly realized as we entered the restaurant that it was very busy, probably unusually busy for a Sunday evening. Every table was booked and the host/waitstaff were flying all over the restaurant trying to manage the chaos. Seating took a while and we quickly realized we were being ignored by the entire wait staff. Menus were not presented to us until about 15 minutes after we were seated. We wouldnt have had an issue if the staff informed there would be a 20-30 minute wait so that they can manage all the busy tables rather than trying to sit every single person that came through the door. Rather than that, we were rushed the entire time. Once we got our menus, we were pressured to make decisions on our dinner choices. The young waiter tried to snatch our menus away and we were not finished ordering. All of us could tell he was very stressed and agitated. I even made a point to ask him if he was feeling okay. We remained patient despite all of this up until waiting for an additional 40 minutes with no response from the wait staff. Every time we pushed the "waiter button" at our table, we realized table 2 was ignored on the screen and even deleted. Its a shame that a restaurant we have come to love over the years provided unprofessional and dismal service. It may have been a bad day for them, and we hope that they can work that out with hiring more staff or even managing the tables. We left after waiting for 45 minutes with no food and drinks. We anticipate coming back in the very near future, your kimchi ji gaes and bibimbaps are delicious.

2016 April Revised Amazing to see how much they have changed over the last 3 years. So much so that I wanted to make sure to retain the old review. My last 2 experiences have been HORRID. The Service was abysmal, and flavors were also very off, almost tasted spoiled. I would have to guess based on this level of change that it must have changed hands/ownership. I would no longer recommend this to anyone, , and in all likelihood I will not be returning to give them another chance as there is some really good Korean BBQ and service at Dae Gee. End 2016 April Revised While I was a bit hesitant at first due to the previous reviews, I decided to put "Silla" to the test. Ordering one of my favorite Korean dishes kimchi jjigae. Let us say I was most pleasantly surprised and pleased. The decor was clean, bright, and pleasing to the eye. The waitress was pleasant and courteous providing me the right amount of attention without being a bother. Now to the food, which was delicious. A good sized portion, and enough side dishes to please almost any palette. The main dish had classic kimchi, and had a nice amount of fatty pork to give a nice extra flavor. All but one of the side dishes was excellent, and that could just have been my taste as I was already getting quite full by the time I got to it. Personally I give them 4.5 out of 5, and I would recommend it to anyone seeking Korean cuisine.

Ok, I just went there at 3:10 pm to get a togo order. The lady might be the owner or whoever was eating her lunch at the table and asked how many people with me. I said I wanna get some togo, but she was still sitting and did not even come to the cashier. I had to come closer to her and said I want Gamja Jungole, and she said it takes about 30 minutes because kitchen staffs were eating lunch. I understand that. So, I asked if it was ok to come at 4:30 pm. She said no because it would take some time. It did not make any sense!! She said I can pick it up at 3:30 or 3:40! and now she says I can not pick it up at 4:30?? I thought I gave them a plenty of time to finish their lunch. I just walked out because of her attitude to customers.

New oweners, husband and his wife, are awesome! My friend and I always feel welcomed with great service and warm heart. When my friend has lost her appitite due to strong medicine she has to take, Nengmyun and Galbi combo menu at Silla is the only menu she wants to eat. The owner and his wife served the dish whenever I took her, I mean even if it was little early of the day or wrong day of week when we did not know it was week day lunch menu. They showed all their courtesy and caring for my friend as if she was part of their family. I am so greatful and my friend appreciates that there is such a restaurant in Aurora with that kind of atitude ! We wish we would have oppportunity to enjoy their food and service for a long time!

This place is horrible. Services are fine, its just that the food is terrible and whats a restaurant with horrible food? The meat, for one dish, was overcooked and was difficult to chew (like chewing a wad of old gum) while another dish we ordered had meat that was undercooked. Seeing food wasted is a horrible sight to see and I try to waste as least food as possible, but this experience left me glad I didnt torture my stomach and my body. Ive been coming here for the last 15 years and have been trying to see the good in the food, but this final visit has left me speechless. I am deeply saddened this place has met its downfall. Thanks Silla for letting me see that people can ruin good food so fast.

I cant believe I even waited for my food...it was disgusting in there! Asked for Diet Coke, server brought out Diet Pepsi. Had to basically trip her to get her attention and asked for Diet COKE again, she said that is what I had!! I said, "Forget it, Ill just have water". She never brought me water, I never opened the can of Diet PEPSI and she charged me for it on my bill! Asked for lunch portion of pork kalbi and she said I could only get "dinner size". Honestly!! $10 difference in lunch & dinner prices. Health Department could go in there today and shut the place down. Ill never go back. Treated me like dirt. Dont even waste your money.

I took a guest from korea there, I had vegetable soon tubu and my friend had dong tae stew. My soon tubu was the most unflavored dish I think I ever tried eating. I ate 4 bites and stopped. The rice in the bowl was almost unpenetrable by spoon, I had to put soon tubu on top of the rice in order to get my spoon in it. My friends fish stew he said he enjoyed but he gave me a chunk of the fish that was in the stew and you could tell it had been frozen (not fresh)......dont go here for some culinary experience. It is just a disappointment.

Very clean, modern-looking restaurant, located in a strip mall. I arrived at lunchtime, around 12:30pm. The parking lot was full, and there was a short, maybe 5 minute wait, for a table. I ordered fried dumplings, and the pork bulgogi lunch special. It came with 9 different sides, rice, broccoli, and clear noodle. Everything was flavorful and seasoned well. The owners were gracious, and the service was prompt. You know its a great place when the majority of the diners a local Koreans. Ill be back whenever Im in the area.
