Funny Plus is the best restaurant in CO. Ive eaten at the acclaimed top restaurants, but this is it people. They have a large selection of Korean alcohol: lots of soju and makgeolli! tons of flavors of each. If you only get a pitcher of beer, they give you a basket of popcorn. The serving sizes are huge. Dont make the mistake of ordering one entree per person on your first visit or youll have leftovers for the next week. But its not for everyone. Do not expect to me waited on hand and foot. Acknowledge that you are asking them for a favor. To deal with your dumb white ass and your dumb white questions. To deal with you when you complain about the wait. This isnt a place where you finish in 40 minutes. The employees and creators of this establishment will not make concessions for you, so dont ask for them. Do them a solid and look up Korean BBQ before you come. Bring with you the friends you know can handle this environment. Dae Gee and many others are there for those who are willing to sacrifice food quality for better customer service. For best results, have 4 people in your party and maybe no more than 4 to be honest. Their BBQ tables sit 4, and if its not busy, you may be able to push some tables together but dont count on it. When you arrive, youll be asked if you are doing BBQ or not. On your first couple of visits here, you should do both. When you sit at a regular table, there are a lot of options like army stew, tteokbokki, etc. I see a lot of poeple get them so I assume they must be great. Unfortunately my s/o cant have shellfish so we cant get those. But! the half and half fried chicken is sublime. Its even good the morning after, a fried food miracle. The fries are also amazing. How? We think they use the same fryer for everything which is genius. Here is our usual line up: – Bottle of Soju – Corn Cheese – Basket of Fries – Bulgogi or Galbi if we do BBQ – Half and Half Fried Chicken if we dont do BBQ Honestly I have so much else to say about this wonderful establishment but just go. Be nice and go. Its next to H-Mart and K-Town Video and P&Y Cuisine. It used to say "HOF & RESTAURANT" outside but now its just the Hangul. I guess thank you to the employees of Funny Plus. We really really love you. You are heroes.

I just came in with my girl friend and order take out fried chicken. I have never felt so unwelcomed before in this restaurant till now. Before I came in alone sometimes with her. This is a Korean bar type of restaurant and I can understand a little bit here and there but she over heard the waiters and the customers talking about how they get upset or mad when they see Mexicans. Im not over reacting or anything it was clearly said Mexicans. Now obviously I felt offended because I am Mexican, I come and eat here with my family, friends, and girl friend frequently and many other Korean restaurants in this area and its sad to hear this kind of statement. I clean after my self Im polite I tip and Im not difficult but to be talked behind my back and to have a group of Koreans agree with that statement is sad. I dont mind racist remarks to my face or racist jokes because they are direct to me, but they have Mexican staff, Mexican customers. I dont see why they have to say that. I dont understand why a group of Koreans that I see frequently agrees. i wont name the waitress, waiter, and business owners name that made these statements but I will pass on this review to many other Mexicans friends and family friends because this is not the type of place I want to support.

Denver is full to BBQ and taco joints and discovered this place based on its reputation for some of the best fried chicken in town. Staff was friendly and the digs feel authentic as there is a clear number of Korean patrons. The food however, was a bit of a let down; the chicken had clearly been fried earlier and just reheated. The bulgogi and pork belly stir fry dishes were nice and had some good heat to them, but what is with Denver restaurants consistently substituting jalapenos as their pepper of choice across all cultures? Its a complete travesty! Might eventually give them another shot and hoping I can at least upgrade to 3 stars, but as it stands I put it at 2.5 rounded down.

Food is phenomenal!! Definitely recommend the fried chicken. Its a cozy atmosphere and perfect for catching up with friend/family over some delicious food. Rated 4/5 stars b/c it seemed like communication with the wait staff was off and he didnt get our order right, but if youre in a good mood and just want to try something new, this wasnt a big deal. I also wish that they had a better drink selection considering they started off as a bar solely before expanding into a restaurant.

revisited funny plus and everything was so much better than my first time there! food was legit, especially the crazy amount of bulgogi that we got for only $23ish. even the fried chicken was tastier than last time. still lacking in the banchan department, but an order of bulgogi + galbi + half-and-half fried chicken was more than enough food for 5 people. and service was decent. would definitely come back for the bulgogi. plus, bonus points for being open late!

I had spicy chicken. It was very dry and cheap quality. I asked if i could get a new entree. I couldnt eat it. And it took them half an hour to make my new food which was so ridiculous since they didnt have new customers came in after us. And the waiter was extremely rude with attitude after i re ordered food. Fried chicken was greasy. It was ok. And this place is filthy and greasy from bottom to the top. Of course, i wont recommend this place to anyone.

It was alright. I enjoy trying out new cuisines, and the diverse styles of cooking based on the nationality, but this was just alright. I will say I do not enjoy spicy foods and there are many, but getting past that, the meat flavor did not taste any different than many others. I did like the authenticity of the place and how the food was presented but it was just a place that was good to try once.

Order pork with vegetable. I really like it. It was have a lot of different kind veg in there and if you ask for extra pork they will charge $5, this is fine. But today when I ask for extra pork theyd charge $10 for pork and most are carrot in there! Carrot! Most are carrot! And after I put the review 1 minute in the few pice pork have a bone in! What a joke is this!?

This place is 100% authentic. We were visiting Denver and I looked Funny + up. Based on the reviews we gave it a go. The bbq was awesome!! We ordered the short ribs. Oh man and the fried chicken was out of this world. The banchan (side dishes) were amazing too. If youre looking for authentic Korean food this is the place! You will not be disappointed.
