I used to go to this place all the time and happily recommend it to anyone who asked where a good ice cream shop was. I have to say that after today they have lost all my business and I refuse to recommend them to anyone else. The worker behind the counter was working alone so I waited in line for over 20mins with everyone getting ice cream (I was only buying candy for my son). There was only the one line and no one waiting at the other register when I arrived. When it was my turn to pay the worker went over to the other register and started checking the people who were lined up there. When I said something her response was "I will help you in a few minutes because these people have been waiting longer then you." This was completely untrue as that line didnt start to form until after I had already been waiting for 10 minutes. She than stated that anyone wanting to buy candy had to move to the other line (the line she was helping). So now I am forced to leave the line I had waited for now over 20 minutes to go to another line where I have to wait some more because there are 4 other people now in front of me. When I finally got up to the front she was rude and disrespectful to me. She didnt care that she wasted my time or helped people ahead of me and made people who were waiting longer than others to wait even more.

I consider myself to be quite the candy connoisseur and I can say, hands down, Scrumptious has been the best experience I’ve ever had at a candy store. Not only do they have every kind of candy you could possibly imagine (many dating back to my childhood which is fun) but they also have it organized in an entertaining way. With bins, drawers, tables, and walls full of everything from Jelly Bellies to Circus Peanuts and candy cigarettes there’s nothing they don’t carry. And if you’re in the mood for something to cool you off they have a veritable plethora of different home-made ice creams to treat your taste buds. Try a sample of the Elvis if you’re in the mood for something different or, my personal favorite, Bubble Gum! Between the atmosphere, the incredibly friendly staff and all the different treat options I have a feeling Old Towne Arvada has found it’s new hot spot. Mmmm…

Like a kid in a candy store ... even adults! Scrumptious in Arvada is a sweet-tooth delight! Candies and treats and novelties abound greet you as you step in the door. Almost every candy you can think of is available here. Even delicious bacon flavors. They have nostalgia candy and new candy. Its a candy-lovers crazy town. And then there is the ice cream. The business is a "micro creamery" with creamy goodness that assaults your taste buds. This ice cream is made on site and there are different, seasonal flavors always available. Bring yourself. Bring the kids. Bring your friends. Youll be glad you did!

The first time I walked into the store, I was kindly greeted and offered samples of the ice cream. I was with my friends so we couldnt stay long, but the cashier was friendly and you could see the ice cream machines in the back. The second time I walked into the store I had a little more time to browse and found the wonderfully create ways that they placed candy throughout the store, old fashioned and modern candy were organized well and there were even rows of drawers with different candy bars available. Overall, I had a great experience at this store twice, I surely would love to come back again.

I havent found a place in twenty five years that was worth a damn in Old Town Arvada... Except for this candy shop right here. Credit my sweet tooth or the nostalgic candy wave all the retro candies had me surfing on as I talked about the good old days to an elder who shared with me a smile and a couple memories. The Ice Cream is surberb and if anything deserves a free sample if all you really came in here for was to buy another "Magic Boyfriend that grows when you put him in enough water" or a swell Jesus action figure.

Almost always busy. If Willy Wonka opened an ice cream/candy store, this place would be it. The flavors are extremely unique and the people behind the counter are always smiling. There is indoor and outdoor seating, which is a plus. This location also sells humorous toys. The only thing that prevents this place from getting a full 5 stars is the line. When this place gets busy the line for ice cream and paying stretches into the candy section. It makes this store difficult to navigate.

This is a very cool, nostalgic candy shop that is like taking a trip down memory lane for anyone of any age. You can hear conversation all over the store about the excitement of finding confections from early childhood. The only downside is cost, which is also a reminder of the inflation seen over a lifetime. As nice as the candy selection, our family and friends all love the handmade ice cream, which is unbeatable, and definitely worth every penny!

Such a cute little shop in historic Old Town. One side is an old school candy shop - Mallow Bars, Necco Wafers, Charleston Chews plus an array of hard candy and chocolates in bulk. The other side is an ice cream shop. We didnt get any ice cream this visit but the line for scoops was out the door when we left so it must be good - well be back to try it! The guy that rung up our candy purchase was super nice.

They gave my 3 yr old son a kids cone with a chunk of cone missing. He dropped it on the floor right in front of the owner. I picked up the cone off of the floor and handed it to him, he then said "what do you want me to do with it?" I said throw it away. He didnt even replace it and he charged me for it. That place is horrible and you better hope your kid doesnt drop anything ! Its WAY over priced too!

Love this place! I feel like I was taking a trip down memory lane, of when I was a just a kid with a quarter in my hand and running to the corner store to see how much candy I can buy. The candy selection is pretty amazing; I dont know many of the brands/makes of the candy this place has on sale. The ice cream is pretty good too; the vanilla with cardamom was an interesting twist on a classic flavor.

This place is really cool. We get a lot of artwork from this place, the staff are usually pretty nice but once in a while youll get a grumpy person behind the counter when you ask to try something. They always have different flavours and cool candy. I recommend it to most people and get my friends art work from here. Plus theyre open pretty late for an ice cream shop.
