If I could give this Home Town zero stars I definitely would. This establishment was absolutely disgusting. It started with the bathroom. I wish that I could post the pictures that I took but unfortunately Google does not allow me to. I took my 8 month old son in to the womens restroom to change his diaper. I was horrified. The floor was so disgusting and sticky that my sandals were literally sticking to it. I had to take a baby wipe and rip toilet paper and toilet seat covers from the bottom of my sandals. There were paper towels, toilet seat covers and toilet paper thrown everywhere. The toilets were disgusting and the trash cans were so full that trash was just thrown onto the floor next to the can. Also the changing table had trash thrown all over it as well. After my horrible experience in the bathroom I proceed to go to my table and get my baby situated while I go get a plate. The food looked as if it had been sitting for hours. I was afraid if I ate anything I would get sick, it was disgusting. And most of the food was not labeled or labeled incorrectly so I had no idea what it was. I figured I would just make myself a salad....the lettuce was wilted and brown and the veggies looked rotten. So I grab a plate and scoop up a couple of dishes that look at least OK but still not good. After my disappointment at the food selection I go to get a drink (that I paid $2.50 for) and there were no cups. Not one! Just stacks of empty racks. I look around and in the corner of the restraunt there is a huge pile of dirty cups and dishes just sitting there. I inform one of the employees that there are no cups available so he then approaches another employee and asks him how long the dirty dishes have been there and he responded "all day". There were plenty of employees walking around as well who could have been cleaning things up and keeping up with dishes. That is when we decided to leave. We asked for the manager who apologized to us and refunded our money. I will never come back to this establishment. Its very sad because they are giving Hometown a bad name. I have never experienced such horrific conditions at any Hometown Buffet. Hopefully they will get their act together and good luck to anyone who choices to "dine" here.

"Hometown Buffet is an all american restaurant with some international.I am grateful to have such a classy place to eat out at in our neighborhood place to get together and enjoy the best food in this whole world!all of the food is so tasty and all of us love it.My son is big fan.He loves to eat pizza,jello,tacos and cheesecake,too.I love every dish and beverage.My whole entire family is sold. The dessert bar is famous and so is the chocolate milk,they have soup and salad,bread,ice-cream...everything is delicious.I also love all of the staff ,they are all very professional and very ,very courteous and friendly.The kids prices are unbelievable and affordable.And they also have kids night where they get to color and get balloons for free for being a guest at the restaurant.I give hometown Buffet an A+...Thank goodness for Hometown Buffet!Wow,youre great!Youre the best,Thank you..."

You might think that do the locations of this buffet, the quality could be low. I will say that sometimes the wait is EXTENSIVE, like maybe bring your own chair long. But the food is always good. It is fresh. MY biggest complaint and the reason for the loss of a star is that it is not all that clean. Often times I find myself putting silverware or plates to the side when I grab them fresh because whatever someone else ate before me was still on it. The staff are all nice, but not all of them are attentive. Not that Home Town is a full service restraunt but if you are going to have a wait staff they shuold at least say hi every now and again. They are accomading for families and that is a great bonus. If you are looking for good buffet food at a reasonable price, I would come here.

To start when I walked in the door the cashier was arguing with an elderly male customer this took about ten minutes before she waited on us. Next was the food gross gross gross I know children who can cook better everything was either overcooked and mush or cold, the selection was poor and spread out all over mixed with other food ie pizza was with taco toppings chicken was with the cold salads... what they called Taco sauce was ketchup. Then you have the staff that dont speak english so you cant ask a questionnaire I grabbed dirty silverware, and plates. The restrooms and floors look as though they have never been cleaned. But the true joy was the parking lot full of crackheads and beggars couldnt even get in door without ppl comming up to you.

plates were dirty.. i informed the manager and he had a guy collect them and take them back to the kitchen .. after that.. the same guy he was bringing new plates kept giving us the dirty looks and almost ran over my niece with his little cart and when i said hey watch it he told me .. she didnt move .. so then i went to the restroom and when i came back the waiter gave away our table with full plates i was so mad had a terrible experience and the staff was HORRIBLE .. never will i visit this store again ... i rather drive to the buffete in woodland hills .. yup its far but its not NASTY .. BEWARE mean employees here .....

This place is bad the food was cold and very salty. To much salt in the food the service is bad. Out of all the staff the only person that stands out is an elderly woman with blond hair. She is very friendly but everyone else is bad so bad if i was the manager here i would clean house. I hope hometown buffet reads this. You need to have new management and retrain your employees. The cooks need to cook food correctly. I ask for a refund its bad would not recommend this place. Its bad for your health the food.

Wow best one ever for the moment great courtesy great smiles and the best of all like they dont serve orange juice on the weekdays. The waitress went to the back and brought me my own pitcher of OJ. Just for me so sweet of her. Claudia thank u so much for a great service keep up the good work i defetnetly would recomend this hometown buffet to any one. Come on down i drove from south L.A TO TRY THIS RESTAURANT AND ITS ONE OF THE BEST OF ALL OF THEM I HAVE GONE...

Most of the food at this location is not food, its bland and flavorless. The food is horrible and it doesnt smell appetizing at all. I asked why everything was dirty and why the pot pie smelled of a dirty dish towel. Apparently they have a new food manger that either doesnt realize what hes serving to the people or doesnt care (my money is on that he doesnt care). Im not coming here ever again. Nobody cares around here so why should this place stay open.

I love this place. The manger is great and so is the hospitality of its workers. Now as for some of the foods like the prime rib and steak, I admit tastes stale but the other great tasting foods like the chicken, tacos, chips, and etc. Definitely make up for it. They also installed new bathroom stalls, this place is definitely my go to place to eat especially if youre signed up for their coupons, definitely would recommend to a friend.
