This is my favorite place to eat sushi. I eat here quite often and i get the same thing every time a spicy dragon roll and a jalapeno bomb. These two are super amazing and at a good price. The awesome sushi is not the only great thing though, the atmosphere is so much better then any other sushi restaurant. They are very respectful, nice and carrying. In comparison to other places they make me feel comfortable and relaxed where others are usually pushy and arrogant. I completely recommend this place if you are in the Vacaville area. If you like big rolls of sushi then this is your place. The flavors were good but I found it annoying to have to cut my slices in half because they were so BIG. Also, they do not have AYCE here but again the rolls are so big I could only eat one roll and a hand roll. Service was not great just ok. Atmosphere Id give it 3 stars also... nothing special or memorable. Im not sure if Id go back unless I was invited by a friend or for convenience since its right next to the movie theater probably the only plus... but Ill bring a knife next time.

If youve had good sushi in the past, dont come here. Youll be disappointed. The sushi sort of passes as sushi but was sorely lacking. We ordered 4 different rolls and none of them were worth the price. Plus we had to wait a very long time to get our food and as we waited we couldnt help but notice all of the health inspector no-nos. We didnt catch the rating on the way in but after placing our order, decided wed prefer not to know. Bottom line: bad sushi, not worth the price or the time.

Been coming to this place since it opened. Even started a family tradition coming for Christmas. But to be honest, service has gone down hill. Waitiers/waitresses Unfriendly and could care less if you need a refill or a check up. Bento Box teriaki chicken is poorest quality of meat tasted at a restaurant. Maybe I got a bad piece maybe not. I know the owners are friendly but unfortunately going to be looking for a new sushi spot for my family and I.

I gave this place three tries. Each time I hoped they would surprise me, but each time the fish was obviously old and the rice was dry. Its as if they had the rolls premade, waiting for customers to order them. Try it for yourself if you like, but there is other better places to get sushi that are within walking distance of the movie theatre.

Lot of portion, but the chicken teriyaki was the just horrible. And the worst thing is nobody should screw up chiecken teriyaki. This guys should close their doors. Bad Food.***************************. I have never complained about bad chicken Teriyaki before to give you guys a heads up.

Ive been going to this place for 5 years, get the Saki pitcher. My favorite meals are the sunrise roll, the green mussel (not baked), and the pepper pin. Excellent place, spent the last 4 Christmas Eve dinners here. NO REGRETS. Love this place! Locally owned, family is so nice.

sushi is awesome, the fresh oysters and soft shell crab was so good. Umi is our usual place to go for sushi. Its a little on the extensive side rolls we ordered are on the $10+ side and the portions got smaller over the years. But quality is great.

2 times this week I went in and ordered allergy specific Sushi. They did it wrong both times. When I called the second time she laughed, like it was funny. Next time imma take my husband to the hospital and forward her ass the bill. Very unhappy.

The fish had an old/pre-made flavor to it. They hid the sauce container under the salad to give it a plentiful look, which it lacked. The rice was dry. Not worth the price. The customer service was average. Better sushi restaurants elsewhere.

I love the sushi variety available at this restaurant. I am impressed at all the different specialty rolls they make since I come from San Francisco where the rolls are usually plentiful. The service was great too and we were treated well.

Lots of great sushi very americanized. If you get rolls over $10 they are great. If you get under $10 they are just ok. Spend some money and you wont be disappointed. I had a couple of spicy rolls and they were great.

Today was my first time eating at Umi Sushi and it will probably be my last. I usually eat ALL my sushi when I have it, but I left half of my sushi and money on the table. Im completely turned off.

Their agadashi tofu tasted microwaved, but their koroke was hot and crispy. Their sushi was heavy on the rice and light on the tuna but tasted good nonetheless.
