Alpine bakery did my wedding cake for 5/17/14. The ONLY thing that I would recomend to anyone ordering a wedding cake is to definitely know what you want when you order, try to avoid a busy day (go before 4:30pm during the week) and I would recomend calling ahead of time and finding out when they have their cake specialists working so that you can go during those hours to order your wedding cake. Not everyone there is a cake specialist which I totally understand, and if they are very busy they very nicely let you know when is a better time to come back to make your cake order so that way they can ensure to fully understand how you want your cake and so they can get your order correct. However, our wedding cake was EXACTLY what my husband and I wanted. Unfortunately I dont have a picture of my own cake yet or I would show it. It was a three tier buttercream cake with the bottom tiers having a curtain design in lavender, I had a light colored fondant bow on the 2nd tier, and the top tier had the love verse written on it in lavender with a precious moments cake topper. It was perfect. we had vanilla cake with vanilla custord filling for the top and bottom tier. It was SO good. We had the middle tier red velvelt which people loved. Everyone complimented the cake for how it looked and for how good it tasted. The pricing is resonable, even though I got a fondant bow, the lady who took my cake order ( I believe her name is Gigi, someone please correct me if Im wrong) worked with me as far as pricing and helped recomend what helps make the cake look good and taste good. She is SO sweet, just as everyone who works there. They are all so helpful and sweet. I would definitely recomend them for a cake for any occasion. Also, their princess cakes are VERY good

I threw a baby shower for my best friend this past weekend (04/03/10). I came a across a lot of great bakeries that provided beautiful designs, and delicious cakes, but my only problem was the fact they were all in San Francisco, and the baby shower was being held in Antioch. I came across Alpine Bakery in Concord, which was perfect as far as in distance. I ordered the "umbrella" cake with cooked strawberry (jam) and buttercream. Sounds good right? WRONG! The cake was extremely dry, and the cooked strawberry filling had a very spoiled taste to it. Also, on the cake they spelled the name wrong. Long story short, I called the bakery to see how can the problem be fixed, and without me going in to full detail of the conversation, lets just say they had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They should be the face of "POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE" and the face of "NASTY CAKES"! I give them 2 thumbs down, and if I had another thumb I would put that one down too. If your looking for a great cake, I suggest Copenhagen in Burlingame. I initially was going order the cake from there, but there was a slight mix up with the dates so they were unable to do the cake by the time I needed it..unless I payed extra.

I recently moved to Concord from San Francisco and stumbled upon Alpine when trying to find the Safeway. It is not even a five minute walk from the Concord BART Station. Each time I visit Alpine I get something new and each first bite is always the same - I close my eyes and the layered tastes takes me on a roller coaster ride soaring, twisting, upside down - always ending with a smile and racing to end of the line for that gotta go again excitement. The only downside to the ride was that there was not a note left on my plate which meant the ride was over. FYI - Now that I can legally get married, I would definitely order my cake gro

Been here many times but first time i ever felt discriminated. There is a blonde lady with short hair, mid 20s working on sunday 6.11.17 around 11.25am. Condescending tone of asking what i wanted, harsh reply & suggesting when ordering coffee how i should order & said i was wrong in my own order. She then moved to the next (white) customer, super chill, relaxed tone etc. Never am i coming back here no matter how good their pastries are!

Fun Euro Scandi bakery. If youd like something different in a bakery, a good place to go. Their whipped cream filled apple stresel slices are great. All that work there enjoy what they do and stand behind their work. They also have a large cookie selection, some Mexican choces too. Stop by and check it out.

The best bakery in Concord, but thats not saying much. Costco industrial ingredients prepared on site. No butter in sight or smell. We really do like their Mexican Wedding Cookies, though. The bar is so low for bakeries, here and in most of the US, that the fact that they just get over it didnt impress me.

Me and my wife checked this place out and after the visit felt ashamed we never took the time to go earlier. A very good variety of cookies and pastries that look fresh and delish. The lemon cookies were so nice with a hint of tart and the candies lemon inside was a bonus.

Pretty great selection of pastries, cakes, and cookies - be prepared to pay a little more for quality products. Theres a reason theyve been around as long as they have been. Cant go wrong with a birthday cake from Alpine ;)

My aunt gave me alpine cookies since I was 7 (currently 17). They are my childhood cookies. The yellow smiley face cookies are my all time favorite and to never seem to grow old for me. Its a great bakery

Best bakery in town! They are always fresh and delicious. Not over priced. And they do an amazing job on my monthly birthday treats for work. Staff is always so nice and helpful. Love this place!

The major pastry and custom cake maker in Concord area. The decoration options for the cakes arent amazing, but good enough for kids birthdays. Tasty small pastries to choose from.
