This evening, we decided to go out for supper and decided to try the Tracy Thai Restaurant here in town, which we have been to on numerous previous occasions. We left at 6:30PM and on the way over, I imagined that the place would be jam-packed, being that its supper time. When we arrived, the place looked empty and initially, I thought they might be closed. Because the interior of the restaurant "has soft lighting" it appeared dark from the street. I then noticed there was another family and a couple dining inside. Doesnt anyone eat supper anymore? Unlike the 70s and 80s, when I was growing up, supper was customarily around 5-7PM, but I guess with todays uncertain economy working families eat at different times in order to accommodate their busy schedules. Upon entering, we were received right away and seated at a corner table. The inside of this restaurant always reminds me of Hawaii, because the interior décor has that Polynesian appearance. It didnt take us more than a couple of minutes to decide on what we wanted to order, however it took about 15 minutes before anyone responded to our table. I assumed that since there were only a total of three families and three servers, the service would be a little faster. When our server did finally respond, she was welcoming and took our order but when I asked her what type of "soup" she could recommend, she said, "I dont know, Im new here." So I guess soup was out! "Im thinking, maybe you should know these things because customers will usually go by what they recommend... or in this case, not." We ordered the crispy Egg-rolls as an appetizer for starters, along with Prawn Pad Thai, Prawn Fried Rice, Chicken Curry, and another Chicken Appetizer. "Can you tell, we like chicken and prawns?" The crispy egg rolls came first and as advertised, they were crispy, well cooked and pretty good. The Egg-rolls came with a fish dipping sauce or at least thats what it tasted like but milder. The sauce really complimented the Egg-rolls and gave it a little tangy sweet flavor. It didnt take long to finish the plate. Next came the Chicken Curry followed by the Prawn Fried Rice. I thought the curry came out a little thin on the consommé side, but there was no objections in the flavor. The Prawn Fried Rice was delightful but then again, Ive always been partial to fried rice. The next dish was the Prawn Pad Thai, which was another wonderful dish and went well with the fried rice. Our server was more attentive, replenishing our glasses with water and we enjoyed the rest of our meal. Upon completing our supper, I waited for ten minute before I gestured for our waitress for the check. By this time, there wasnt anyone else in the restaurant other than one person who came in for take-out. Our waitress looked over at our table then continued to carry on a conversation with her co-worker. "I guess Im just the intolerant type." Our bill came out to $43.00 and some change and the overall dining experience here for the third time in as many years was very enjoyable. Everyone one of the dishes were prepared well and no one conveyed any criticisms. We will continue to dine at this delightful restaurant notwithstanding the slow service. The waitress, although acknowledging that she was new to the restaurant, instead of carrying on a conversation with her co-worker, she should have taken the time and studied the menu or asked the cook what types of "soup" they carried and what was recommended!

The Thai salad is sooooo good but the service is terrible especially the older lady with the glasses and ponytail I was there during lunch more like rush-hour and I was literally waiting there for 30 mins and was told that I would be helped with shortly but wasnt mind you I had fussy baby in his carseat :/ would I go back yes and I would definitely let that waitress know how I feel!!

Pretty good Thai food at a reasonable price. The service staff is attentive and makes recommendations based on what you like. Ive had several dishes there and I dont have any complaints about them and they were all good. I just dont crave the place like I have some other Thai restaurants, hence the 4 stars.

This was okay thai, ive had better in the bay area. However, if I decide to indulge in Thai, I will go back here since im no longer in the bay area. The staff was great! These ladies were so sweet, and one lady was cracking jokes which made a crazy day alot better after talking to her.

Seriously people if you think this restaurant serves good food I am worried about your taste buds. Everything was either overly greasy or extra watery. The yellow chicken curry was disgusting. How can you screw up this dish? I wont be back, you need new cooks or a better recipe.

Good food, very reasonable prices, good service, clean and quiet, just a great place to go out to eat when you dont want to cook dinner. We come at least once a month and have never had a bad meal, you just have to try different dishes to find what your favorites are!!

It is our favorite place to stop at while coming back from Yosemite to Bay area. After coming here hungry and tired, just one sip of Tom Yum recharges us. Love their ambiance. Food is really good. We love fresh rolls and panang curry here. Service is very good too.

the food and ambience is very nice. Our family loves thai food, so we go there pretty often. For the first timers have a suggestion, do not go late when they are about to close. Other than that i always enjoy my visit there.

Nice little place. Open around 3p when all that restaurants around are closed. Prices are little higher then smaller Thai restaurants around, but in return you get bigger patio with nice furniture.

The absolute best place to eat healthy in Tracy. Food is so fresh. And prices are very low for what you get. The cheapest table service spot in town. I eat here 5 or more times a month

I have eaten Thai food in probably a dozen different restaurants and none of the food here tasted like the others. Generally everything was salty when it probably shouldnt have been.

When it comes to Thai food, the spicier the better for me! And Tracy Thai is super yummy. They have very good tasting food, good atmosphere and good Thai tea.
