Summary: A hidden gem. Great prices ($9-11 per well sized entree), great quality, very quick service. Only one table, so take the food to go. Order online and get a $5 off coupon your first time buying. Lots of parking on nearest side street. Delicious, hole-in-the-wall, Chinese goodness! A friend of mine that was born and raised in Torrance recommended Mandarin Kitchen as a great Chinese food restaurant in the area. Despite having known about the establishment for quite some time, it was only recently that my wife and actually tried it. We ordered on the road en route and 10 minutes later we were walking in to find our food already boxed, bagged, and ready to go. We took the food home since there was nowhere to sit inside and we observed that the takeout containers were made of pretty high quality plastic that kept everything really toasty until we were settled in. Here is what we got. Garlic Shrimp - Nice sized shrimp in a brown garlic sauce with onions, bell peppers, and other vegetables. A pretty large helping of shrimp, too. Delicious. Beef and Broccoli - A classic. Lots of tender slices of beef and broccoli in a savory sauce. Very tasty. Vegetable Chow Mein/Pan Fried Noodles - Tiny pan fried egg noodles with veggies and a brown sauce. Lots of noodles and well prepared vegetables. Well executed. Crab and Cream Cheese Wontons - Surprisingly pretty sweet flavored, even without the sweet and sour sauce. I didnt enjoy these as much because I prefer the filling to be more savory than sweet, and these were definitely non-standard in that regard, but my wife really enjoyed them. The meal came with two small containers of white rice, and the total was $31 with tax and tip after the discount we got from ordering online. We had enough food for two full meals for each of us. A great place. Highly recommend it.

A local hidden gem! One of the best delicious Chinese places around! Unique hole-in-the-wall that does pickup or delivery. There is a tiny little table for about 2 near the front window but I dont believe its used for serving customers. The food is always ready with in less than 10 minutes and packaged in a very nice and presentable paper bag for you to pick up. They have excellent rates as well as lunch and dinner specials. See their menu for details. This place has definitely earned my #1 choice for Chinese food!

I ordered shrimp wonton soup and shrimp chow mein. The chow mein had two shrimp and the shrimp wonton soup had zero shrimp. I called to complain and they said the chef checked it and I was wrong. They said they would make it up to me on the next order. The next time I ordered they remembered me but the chef said no more shrimp for me. I will never order from Mandren kitchen ever again. They are truly racist and nasty people. The next time I ordered

I love Chinese food and when an acquaintance raved about Mandarin Kitchen, I thought I would give it a try. To sample their food I order steamed dumplings. The dumplings were dreadful and the price of $6.99 for barely edible food was an outrage. This is the last place a serious lover of Chinese Food would set foot in.

Every time I crave for Chinese food this is the place I definitely go for sure. Food is savory, delicious, and really warm. I really like the chow me and fried rice as well as beef broccoli. I really love the lunch special and how it comes with egg roll soup wonton fortune cookie and meal all for a great price!

I work right next to this restaurant and love going there. I try to make it a point to go once a week. They have great food, and the portions are very very large. You will never leave there hungry. Also the service is great and everyone there is incredibly nice. Highly recommended!

In my opinion, the food isnt good enough to make up for the fact that they are not very accurate and that the customer grievance resolution process is not in accordance with what one would receive, for example, at a local McDonalds.

Recently they keep messing up the orders, not sure if they changed staff. Nothing worse then eating food you dont like or did not order. I called them back but it was pointless. I just will find another chinese take out.

Currently the best Chinese food place around the area. The rice is a bit dry sometimes (even drier if order the fried version) which takes away one star from their otherwise delicious and affordable menu. Takeout only.

I wish I didnt have to give this place one star. The quality and taste of the food was disgusting. Delivery took about 45 minutes which is fair for lunch but then it was delivered lukewarm.

I was very disappointed in our dinner tonight . The Orange chicken was over cooked and there was no flavor in any of our other dishes . Even the fried rice was dry.
