The South Bay is really spoiled with so many ramen choices, Ikkousha certainly being one of the better ones in my opinion. There was a time once where hakata noodles probably ran through my veins given how many times I ordered kaidama with my ramen, but long gone are the urges I had to gorge until I became sick. Instead, Ive had a newfound love for just the quality of one bowl of ramen, the carefully thought out portions for the broth and noodle, and the superiority of having a soft boiled egg with my ramen. Theres a pool of drool collecting near my bottom lip as I write this. Ikkousha has a stronger soup base which is what I tend to prefer over the lighter options and they have an excellent fried rice option which is almost as good as the ramen, so if youre in a pickle and cant decide on rice or noodles just get both of them. The only problem I have with this place is the line, it gets nuts, but I think that attests to the quality of their food. I certainly wouldnt discredit it as just another "hype" ramen shop. Four stars because its just as good as Shin-Sen-Gumi, not better.

This is some great ramen. I found this on the whim searching for some new ramen in the Torrance area. Its new for me, but it might have been around for a while. The ordering is similar to that of shin sen gumi, is it hakata style? Broth type, noodle type, etc. They had a video running of the making of their noodles which seemed interesting. The noodles tasted good as well! I chose the light broth which was good enough for me, the normal seemed too thick as I just tried a sip from another bowl. The pork was not as fatty as shinsengumi which was a bonus for me. Extra green onions loaded on top. On the table is ginger and spicy vegetable, so I get to put in as much as I want. Time to try the one closer in Costa Mesa.

Fast & friendly service. Prices are affordable averaging about $7-$8 for ramen. Waiting list posted on door during lunch hours, but tables empty quickly. Waited time for us was approximately 10 min or less. Simple atmosphere, great for lunch breaks. Great ramen! Also great for kids, able to modify ramen for children. Choose noodle flavor, noodle consistency, spice level & toppings. You are able to choose every aspect & cater your ramen to your liking. Recommend Gods Fire Ramen for those who can handle spicy! Definitely coming back!

味道还可以。。。中午很多人,可能需要排队。炸鸡很脆,拉面很好吃,汤也不错。值得推荐。。。Taste can be. . . Many people at noon may need to line up. Fried chicken is very crisp, very good ramen, soup is also good. Worth recommending.

The BEST ramen in the area. The Black Tonkotsu Ramen is my favorite. Its broth is flavored with roasted garlic and sesame oil. The broth is flavorful and rich. You can customize how you like your noodles and add additional topping. Ordering is very easy. Just circle what you want and any additional items. Must also try the Chicken Karaage. Lightly breaded, very crunchy outside and very moist and juicy inside. Service is excellent.

Compared to similar ramen places in the area, this place feels streamlined and well run - the ordering process had been designed for minimal confusion, some of the most common condiments and water are right on the table, and the service is prompt. Its default broth is a bit on the oily side and its always a bit colder than Id prefer, but those are personal preferences. I still think the place is worth recommending.

Since my trip to Japan Ive been on a hunt for Japan-like ramen. Hakata Ikkousha Ramen does a pretty good job! Broth is flavorful, ramen is perfectly soft but not too soft. I ordered spicy Hakata Ikkousha Ramen and it was delicious. BUT pork was way to small for the order. It was good, but I must say its a greedy slice. As of now I would choose Mensho Tokyo overHakata Ikkousha Ramen. Broth there is just heavenly.

This place can get busy around lunch so be sure to have a back to plan! That being said I dont think theres a bad dish in the place. I havent tried the God Fire since I cant handle too much spice, but all the other Ramen dishes, as well as their starter plates are great. I recommend going for the premium toppings - the extra pork and addition of the egg is great.

I had the level 3 God Fire Ramen. Very Spicy about a level 8 of 10. Got me sweating and cleared the sinuses. But aside from spiciness it was a very delicious broth. Get the egg thrown in. Absolutely lovely. The gyoza was the best Ive had in a very long time for much much cheaper. You will not find a better meal for this price.

This place is a GREAT place for Ramen. After one bowl of Gods fire Ramen (level 2) Im definitely a fan. Their broth was especially delicious, spicy, but worth taking the time to enjoy it all. I definitely recommend trying this place at least once. And judge for yourself. Pricing is decent. $10 a person

One of the best ramen shops in Los Angeles, I believe. Other Pork broth noodle shops are sometimes too salty, oily, and feel so bad after meal. But their noodle soup is well-balanced and will satisfy. May take some time to get seat, but this place has value to wait.

Theres a queue list placed outside. The line goes pretty fast only if youre a party of three or less otherwise it will be a while before you get seated. I got the Tonkotsu ramen and it was good! They have a variety of side dishes as well. Very nice!

The ramen was thick and authentic. The restaurant however leaves out minced garlic and pickled vegetables for customers to use that give the restaurant a very pungent sour smell. I think this practice is unappealing, unsanitary, and uneconomical.

Customer service is everything. Unfortunately, it was not packed. There were seats available for myself and my husband. We still had to wait. Then, they got my order wrong even though it was clearly circled. Had to wait longer.

You havent had ramen until youve had ramen here. The broth and the noodles are chosen to your liking upon ordering so there isnt really a way to go wrong with any choice. Its unique and flavor has this place on my go to list.

Very good except that they only give you small two paper-thin slices of pork. Come on, pork isnt that expensive. Anyways Ill go again, but be sure to purchase the add-on meat. The special fried chicken was over done.

Ill straight out say that they probably have the best ramen Ive ever ate here in Southbay. Not just that, their gyoza and karaage is really tasty. Though I wish they have desert, but there is a bakery nearby.

The soup is very fatty like I like it. They use the straight fresh noodles instead of the usual prepacked wavy ramen noodles. I like the meat here, it doesnt have too much fat on it like other places.

Pretty bomb. Great ramen. Solid broth and noodles. Gyoza is a fav. A little pricey but worth the experience. Try God Level 1, Extra Toppings, vegetables. Karage is a good snack, too. Thank me later.
