I should have checked the reviews before we entered this restaurant. They should fire the cook. I remembered the great food and service in the Simi Valley location so I agreed to have lunch here. Waiter service was ok. Food quality was very poor. I ordered 2 appetizers Voodoo fries and the Nachos. The fries were supposed to have bacon & steak. The bacon could barely be detected and the steak was this funny looking breaded balls of something. The melted cheese was at the bottom of the fries, it had to be scraped with the fork to get a taste. Finally the Nachos came after we were done with our small portion of fries. The nachos were gross looking. Tortilla chips smothered in some type of dark brown ground beef chilly with black beans. Imagine a can of greasy chilly mix with another can of black beans. No salt. A ball of what it appeared to be guacamole of to the side and 2 small containers, 1 with sliced whole jalapenos and the other with want to be salsa? pick de gallo?, it was sour so we really couldnt decide what it was. It just set there in the middle of our table for the rest of the so called meal. When I finally received the "Avocacobob" salad I ordered..it was a bigger disappointment. The lettuce was limp and darkened. Not crispy at all. The large amount of avocado slices in the picture of the menu consisred of these small chopped up in little squares that probably equaled the amount of 2 of the slices in the picture. The chicken was questionable between rubber and fake chiclen. When the waiter finally came around and asked how we were doing, I couldnt even look at him in the eye. I was embarrassed for them. Right before he came around to deliver our bill, be asked if we wanted more bottomless fries??...What??? I dont know why i asked him for a container for my untouched salad, it was just a waiste. I hate waiting food. He asked if we wanted a container for our Nachos to go and. We all said "No!", he laughed as he walked away. Never Again.

I work at the mall and my options for lunch/dinner are limited. Ive gone to this Red Robin once before and was unsatisfied with my Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad. Now I am NOT a picky eater at all, but it seemed like they just did the bare minimum. The salad was very boring and they gave me a quarter sized amount of dressing. So today(a few weeks later) I gave in and decided to give them another chance. When I called they put me on hold for nearly 6 minutes and transferred me 3 times to 3 different people. When she finally picked up to take my order she kept cutting me off and wouldnt let me finish. She never told me how long it would take and she never told me how much it would be. 15 Minutes later I close my store down to go pick it up and the host asks me to wait......and wait...and wait. Finally she gets to me and I tell her I have a pick up and she sends me to the bar, where they make me wait...and wait....and wait. There were 2 bartenders and they literally made me wait for almost 10 minutes! Then as I go to pay they had gotten my order completely wrong!! Instead of charging me $14 they charged me $21....the bartender said, "well I didnt place your order so I dont know what you want me to do...." I laughed and just left. Looked in the bag, and although they charged me for an adults quesadilla they still gave me a childrens quesadilla. AND to top it all off they didnt give me my side of fruit OR utensils. I will never, ever, ever go back there again.

It far from good but better than what it was before. I had been 5 times since they opened and 3 times were very poor service and ice cold food. Well I went the other day and its the same environment. Employees all talking and hanging around with each other. The server was very fast getting the meal to us because we explain that we had gotten lunch it was 3 pm. Yet, leaving would have taken for every if not for the new tablet check out system. Im wondering if I have to use the tablet for everything can I tip less since service is the reason for a tip lol. Needs management improvement and better service. Go to the one in Ventura if you can the service is way better. Ps this place is dead at 3pm there are more employees then customers.

I have only ate there once, first and last time, I learned my lesson. My service was terrible my waiter never once came to check on us. He did not bring us the right food, once it was corrected they forgot to put topping on my sandwich, we had no eating utensils, we waited for at least forty five mins-the place was not even busy. The bathrooms were horrid, there was literally blood on the toilet seat. I saw an employee even walk in then out of that stall (I am pregnant so later went again) and the employee never even got it cleaned. I recommend you avoid that place the best you can.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. ASKED FOR THE BOTTOMLESS FRIES TWICE BEFORE FINALLY GETTING THEM. I ASKED SIMPLY FOR WATER 4 TIMES AND NEVER EVER GOT IT. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE OF THE LADY WAITER . AT THIS POINT I WILL LEAVE HER NAME OUT BUT IN MY COMPLAINT LETTER IN WILL SPELL IT OUT. IF THEY WERE A LITTLE BUSY I WOULD OF THOUGHT DIFFERENT BUT THEY WERE DEAD. NO REASON FOR THIS CRAPPY SERVICE. OF YOU CANT DO THE JOB FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO WORK. VERY VERY UPSET AND WILL BE LETTING DISTRICT MANAGERS KNOW.

Service is SO bad. I cant figure out why, but it has been consistently awful. Im actually sitting in here right now. It took 10 minutes to be greated by our server. 15 minutes to get a glass of wine and my milkshake just came out but guess what... my food hasnt. Are they cutting costs by understaffing or what?? Two stars because Red Robin food is always yummy... just maybe choose another location Update: sitting here for almost a full hour. No food.

Ive tried several times but have never liked this place. The servers are always very nice and polite. But the food doesnt taste fresh. The bottomless french fries are just o.k. Its always loud and cold inside. (Im never cold.) Its telling when all the other restaurants have a line out the door but this one you just walk right in. They need to improve the food.

My first time at a red robin and i was not impressed. It was busy so service was super slow, although courteous. My burger was horrible. Hockey pucks would describe it. Someone said maybe because it was Veterans day they didnt see the need to give the best because it was free. Sheesh i hope not. I will try a different one in the future.

Yup... bad service. The food is fine. Server didnt really check on me. Needed a drink refill. Hit the call server button on the ziosk. Nobody came. Had to get up for my drink refill. My bottomless fries refill was incorrect. Ordered sweet potato fries but got a regular fries refill. Did not feel bad about leaving a bad tip.
