Tia Juana is a quality place for Mexican food. Their salsa is great, their homemade chips are great, and I absolutely love their Chile Verde as well as their Chile Colorado. Coming from San Diegos spectacular selection, I would say that Tia Juana is one of the rare joints that can measure up to the SoCal standards. My only complaint is that its far from me so I cant get there regularly, but that wont stop me from going whenever Im in the area! If your travels brings you near this place, do yourself a favor and stop by!

My favorite Mexican Restaurant. I know this place for like 10 years now and I never get tired of the delicious food and the great service (change service for family like treat). Coming from a very traditional mexican roots and knowing all the places in the Bay Area and San Jose that serve good Mexican Food, this restaurant by far is the best. If your are new to this place or youre searching for a new place to go eat mexican food, dont let my review impress you and go there and find it URself.

I dont recommend this restaurant to no one. They are over priced, then dont have anything that my children wanted to eat or drink. The waitress doesnt listen to what you ask for..... Then they decide to add the tip to the bill when they defently didnt deserve it at all or when anything we ask for they didnt have or cary......It took them about 20 minutes to bring your drink and the funny part is they didnt really have any other costumers,

Surprised by the high rating this place had. Food was terrible... The carne asada I had was not flank steak. Chips were terrible, salsa was lame (store bought salsa wouldve been better)... Food came quick, but I wish they had spent a little longer and got it right, or at least better. Not much flavor in anything. Very disappointing, especially after such a high rating! I can get much much better Mexican in Seattle.

Found this place for a late lunch not long ago. Was pleasantly surprised by the colorful decor, and hoping the food lived up to having as much flavor. Service was amazingly quick, I think it took me longer to give the server my order, than it did for the kitchen to make it.The food was just okay, I had hoped it would have been better. Reasonably priced for what it was.

The chicken mole was very disappointing. The chicken was boiled with sauce poured over. Not the way mole is prepared with meat! Then when we informed the waitress she turned very rude and threw the check on the table. Of course we happily paid and gave a generous tip (it was not her fault). We were very surprised on the rudeness!!

We love this place. Its pretty crowded at lunch time, but very easy to get a table at dinner time. The Chile Verde is awesome, the fajitas are great, and the combos are good when you feel like some variety. The margaritas are pretty basic, but not bad for the money. We come here at least once every two weeks and highly recommend it.

Very good food and pleasant service. More chips n salsa? No problem. Customize your order? Yes! Ate lunch with co-workers here recently and I had the chile colorado burrito with light amount of rice. It was delicious and prepared as I asked. Prices are very reasonable which will keep us coming back.

You can tell the locals love it here. The bar is full with people having few drinks and chatting with the bartender. Food is decent with fresh homemade chips a s salsa. Portion is big to share. The service is pretty fast. Make sure you are ready to order when they come to your table!

Delicious & filling Chili Verde Enchiladas plate (pork cooked in green sauce) with Horchata, a refreshing but not overly sweet cinnamon rice drink, is my go to order here & keeps me coming back. Weekdays crowded at lunch but my experience is service is fast and friendly.

Typical Mexican casual dinner spot. Good prices and friendly people add to the cozy environment and sports on the TV. Nothing really stands out on the menu, but the mole I had was pretty good. Parking can get crowded but no wait time once youre in.

The food was to go and the staff was rude. The lady was constantly sighing because it was hard for me to count the money. Also the food was horrible, i has a wet burrito and there was zero flavor, i had to add all my salsa to make it eatible

This place is a great staple. Its not going to impress guests or a date, but every weekend Im by myself I eat here. Burritos are huge and amazing, as is the salsa. Calling for carry-out is hit and miss since they are usually super busy.

This place seems to fill quickly during lunch hours, my coworker and I were able to beat the rush. The crispy taco and chile relleno I ordered were tasty. Service and wait staff was good and accommodating.
