I am a big fan of Mediterranean food. I love falafel, hummus and tabouleh and all the unique sauces they offer. The flavors are excellent when done right. Bay Area offers quite a few good Mediterranean options – Falafel Bite on Stevens Creek Blvd, the fantastic Falafel Stop on Sunnyvale-Saratoga road, and the sit down Dish Dash in downtown Sunnyvale. A few years ago, Dish Dash opened a drive through, fast casual place on Mathilda Avenue called Dish’n’dash. I assumed that the food was no different from the Murphy St Dish Dash and skipped going there all these years. Our office campus moved to Sunnyvale, not too far from Dish’n’dash and I finally trudged there a few weeks ago. Since then, I have made multiple trips and can happily report that Dish’n’dash is a fantastic place to get a weekday lunch and is turning to be a regular haunt for me. Here is why. The best way to describe Dish’n’dash is that its the Chipotle of Mediterranean food. I would completely not be surprised if they had Chipotle in mind while building this specific outlet. From the kind of paper that the menu is printed on to the way the menu is broken down to how the orders are processed, it looks and feels a lot like Chipotle. And that is not a bad thing. Simple, easy and healthy choices are not common in the Mediterranean cuisine based restaurants and Dishndash is refreshingly different. Over my few trips to the place, I have tried multiple combinations, multiple side dishes and multiple drinks. And yes, multiple sauces. Most if not all of them were pretty good to great. The spicy sauce combos are definitely must have. Their fresh fruit juices (made in front of you) are a welcome option. Seating is limited and the place is designed to be a takeout. You can also order via their website or their iPhone app. Ordering online is the best option. Saves you a ton of time waiting for food. The falafels are almost always freshly made. The veggies seem fresh. The bread is good and just a smidgen less awesome than the one at Falafel Stop. Prices are reasonable- a base veggie falafel on rice or in a pita bread with no sides runs to about $7.5. Add in some sides and extras and it works to about $10. I usually have a drink to go with it and my bill works out to about $15. Not bad for a full and healthy lunch. My only gripe- the baklava was just OK. I strongly recommend giving Dish’n’dash a shot. You will definitely like it. Rating: Ambiance: 8/10. Really meant to be a takeout place with limited and cramped seating. Service: 8.25/10. If you plan to take out, I strongly recommend ordering in advance. At peak lunch hour, wait times are usually 10-15 minutes. Food: 9/10. Fantastic. Love it. Price: 8.5/10. On par with competition and given the option to add things on for a price, manageable. Restroom: N/A Overall: 8.5/10. It is the food that really matters here and it is very good. What are you waiting for?

I thought this place was okay, but not amazing. I think it really depends what you get. When I went, I was there with my mom and my fiance. The idea is that you pick the meat and then pick the way it is served. I got the wrap, my fiance got the rice, and my mom got the salad. In the end, we decided that the wrap is definitely the way to go. The rice and salad were both pretty mediocre and not worth the price. Our overall opinion of this place is that it is a little bit overpriced for what you get. I also got a mango smoothie which was great. If I ever come back here, I would get a wrap and a smoothie and probably split the two with my fiance. I think its a good option for when you arent super hungry and on a day where you are feeling particularly generous with your wallet.

This is a sister restaurant of the high-end Dish Dash in Downtown Sunnyvale. I have yet to see this place *not* being packed during lunch any time I have gone there. I usually order the falafel but I have also tried their Hummus & Babaganoush and they are also amazing. The best part of Dish N Dash is the dips that come with the dishes like spicy tahini, mint walnut, etc. You get to pick 2 for each entree you order and trust me, no matter which one you pick, you wont regret it. Nowadays I usually end up ordering online and just pick it up to avoid the long queues which are sometimes out the door. They also have indoor and outdoor seating but it can get packed really fast. Note: Parking is also a pain sometimes so they have additional parking in the hotel next door.

The food itself is great but I was less than impressed with the customer service. I placed an online order that was supposed to be ready at 12:30. I didnt get my food until 12:50. Not only was there an incredible delay but the woman at the window was incredibly rude. She went as far as to say to all of the people waiting for their orders "if you cant stand in a straight line I will not help you!" keep in mind these were the people waiting on their orders, not people in line to order. After 15 minutes of waiting I was told they were out of pita and my lunch would be made a wrap. I was promised a full refund. I was not given a refund but instead told to call next time and theyll "take care of me" incredibly disappointed in the customer service

You order like youre at a Burger King and they give you a buzzer for when your food is ready. Food came out fast. Good selection of seating, with indoor tables and an outside patio with benches. FOOD WAS DOPE AF YO. You can tell the food is fresh when you get it and is made with the love. I dont normally have Mediterranean food but Im fasho becoming a regular here. The Rice and Freekah with Beef Schawarma was off the chain dawg. Comes with edamame and corn and other veggies on top of the rice and a side of fries or whichever side you want. Sauces were hella good too, I dug the Garlic Yogurt sauce (dont get thrown off by the name cuz its good with everything) the most but the other three were good too. Overall a fantastic lunch place.

My friend and I visited Dash n Dash for lunch during a weekday. After waiting in the long line for a few minutes, I ordered a Chicken M Sakhan wrap. As soon as my order number was called out, I grabbed the food and a small cup of spicy sauce and tahini sauce. I believe they have 4 or 5 different varieties of sauces. The wrap was delicious and since then I have been coming here pretty often. I have tried their Chicken Shawarma and Lamb Shawarma and they are great. Dont miss out their freshly squeezed juices, just perfectly quenched our thirst in the scorching weather.
