Dog friendly review from Tales of Gus; www.facebook.com/talesofgus One block off the main drag of Downtown Santa Cruz is an eclectic dog friendly hangout which is a must visit. Masks from around the world are donated by friends of Cafe Limelight and blend in with Star Wars memorabilia. Music which I think was Italian or French was playing while we sat at little tables inside by a couple couch set ups. Beer was cold and as long as you like Anchor Steam (and we do) there was variety. Water bowls were provided and the menu which was extremely witty included a doggy section. We had chicken chili and grilled cheese which were both lovely. 5 out of 5 Gus Paws.

My pressed sandwich was filling and delicious! The owner is present and friendly. The chef came out and gave us great recommendations & cooking tips. The free Wi-Fi is fast! The decor is kitchy & fun. It was dark & cool & welcoming on a hot afternoon.

I love Limelight and cant wait to go back. I literally had a dream about the brie/pesto panino two nights ago. It is also very cute inside and the prices are more than fair for what you get. Santa Cruz is lucky to have this place.

A hidden gem in Santa Cruz. Delicious, and large paninis most for 10 to 12 dollars. Plenty of vegetarian options in a laid back old time cinema setting.
