The place is similar to kunjip, serving Korean soup and atypical meats like oxtail and knee. They serve you 3 types of kimchi as their appetizer banchan. Their soups are very light, its not quite my thing but it seems good for what it is. Overall the place ends up being a little too pricey for what it is. Since you only order one dish and only get kimchi as an appetizer, theres not a lot of variety in your meal, its not very filling and not quite very flavorful. Its not a bad place to go but Im not sure Id go again.

곰탕을 몇시간 우려서 끓이냐고 물으니 주인밝에 모르고,주인바뀌달라하니 언제올지 모른다하고, 그럼 국물우리는거 볼수는 있냐고 하니 못보여준다하고... 여기도 국물을 우리는게 아니라 설렁탕 국물내는 가루쓰나봄.

완전불친절 애랑가서 밥을천천히먹엇는데 늦게먹엇다고 팁 줘야된다며 팁내놔라고 생떼 간장달라햇는데 꺼내야된다며 한5분잇다주고 물더주는데도 시간한참 걸리고 뭐달라면 갖다먹으라고하고 완전최악 다시는안갈거에요

Okay, this was a total surprise gem. The galbi was absofreakinglutely fantastic, and the bulgogi was very good. Very simple and straightforward place, good for both English and Korean speakers, and very friendly folks. Theyre open early for lunch, which was pretty fantastic when I was looking for a place before 11am. So good!

Tip: As a huge Kunjip fan, Im surprised it took me so long to find Seoul Gom Tang. Their gom tang are almost as good as Kunjp and while they dont have as stellar banchan, its still quite good. The menu is also more extensive than Kunjip if the wait is too long there or you have diners that want more selection.

The service at this restaurant was horrible. I found a dead fly in my soup and the management refused to even apologize. It took two conversations for them to reluctantly acknowledge their mistake. They tried to deny this mistake until the end. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Fantastic authentic Korean soups - season to your liking and dig in! Lots of choices, though it does run a little on the expensive side. I had the gom tang with tendon, tripe, small intestine and beef and was very pleased! Ill be back for sure.

Love the place. Gom tangs is tasty and filling. Havent tried other kinds of food beyond the gom tangs but my friends said they were good. Also, the place opens fairly open and closes fairly late. So its great for almost any schedule.

The staple gomtang is great for clearing up your hangover or upset stomach. I end up drinking all the beef soup. If with a group, their jungol is a good combo. Their service is quick and the side dish daikon root kimchi is delicious!

Tasty, open early and late. For me, its the best Korean bone soup and fish soup place in the south bay. My mother who were visiting from Korea approved this place, too.
