The food here is several notches above the other Indian places Ive tried in Marin. The day I had lunch at Bombay Garden, the place was pretty full and about half the customers were Indian, which should tell you something. The buffet leaned a bit further toward vegetarian than Id prefer, but then thats Indian food, and there were enough meat choices to make me happy. The previous reviewer dinged the service, but I didnt need much with the lunch buffet, and although the check didnt exactly fly to my table when I was done, the staff did thank me on leaving.

We used to patronize the Lotus and still like the waiters and ambiance, however the food for lunch buffets is much more interesting at the Taj. I particularly like that both Northern and Southern Indian cuisine is represented and that vegetarian dishes are grouped together and the meat dishes are as well. I am a vegetarian, but do eat fish and the fish pagoras on Friday are outstanding. The service is good, with friendly waitstaff. The fixed price for the sumptuous buffet at lunch is reasonable and competitive.

even though there is an array of dishes both vegetarian and non veg...the taste is not authentic at all....great bang for your buck the buffets are and great variety but its not indian food..i am indian and this is a huge dissapointment.i understand not making it hot as not all people can eat hot,but why the dumbing down of spices and the layers of flavour? teach americans what indian food is..its not this bland fare..

Love their food, discovered it after a beach trip and I will be returning here everytime I am in the area. You cannot go wrong with the food and service. Manager walks around making sure you are happy which is very nice to see. Buffet is little small yet very tasty. Recommended place for everyone to try who like Indian food.

Tried buffet on a Sunday. The taste of Indian dishes have moved away from their authenticity n is very much customized of American taste. I didnt enjoy the food here just from an north Indian vegetarian foodie perspective. Tried lotus cuisine of India in the same vicinity. They are much better.

I have gone to Bombay Garden for years. The service is mediocre at best. Most of the time the servers are rude and aloof. I have dealt with their poor service because I enjoy the food, which is above average. I have finally reached my tipping point and will not give them my business again.

Came here for lunch on a Friday. $10.95 adult buffet, 6.95 for kids. They have gluten free naan, and most of the buffet items were also GF. The food is delicious, both adults and kids loved it. The vegan Palak with mixed vegetables was divine.

Great food! Not expensive. Friendly staff. All you can eat buffet and you can trust the ingredients. All meat dishes are separated and on a different serving table. Everything has well posted ingredients.

I love that Taj of Marin labels their dishes as to what is gluten-free and vegan. They may not serve organic but Im confident theyll maybe begin to shift as that demand is growing and prices are competive.

This place is typically amazing. Occasionally the crowd is intense and the food is great rather than freakishly good but I would still recommend this place to anyone who wants flavorful Indian.
