Close to the Edmonds ferry... if it wasnt for livingsocial... wouldnt have known this place existed... but that goes for a lot of restaurants in the Seattle & surrounding areas. I read the reviews and they were across the board ... mostly polar opposites.... gah... very confusing... but due to the LS coupon took the plunge to drive over the pond to eat here. The restaurant itself is dank (probably due to being next to the water) & dark. Service was OK - Waiter took the order, served the food, refilled water, and brought the bill.... he just lacked a personality, but thats completely OK, ☺ he was efficient .... were not at a 3 star Michelin restaurant. The food was good... both entrees were creamy & vegetarian... saag paneer (creamy spinach w/ cheese cubes) and malai kofta (veg cheese balls in creamy sauce), and plain naan. The basmati rice came with the meal. Food 4 Service 3.5 Decor & Ambiance 2 Cleanliness 2

Food was quite under-flavored. The Naan tasted store-bought, really doughy, and I couldnt taste the garlic on "Garlic and Basil" naan. The butter chicken was acidic and thin. The biryani was boring. Disappointed really. The ingredients seemed good, just no flavor in it at all. The serving dishes (copper-plated pots) are deceptively small, but there is plenty of food. Would have preferred less food but more flavor. Service was really strange. Only one other table was full at 6pm on a Thursday. There were 3 staff out front, and I still had to ask for my bill twice, including walking up to the register and being asked to go sit back down. Not a very polite event. Neadless to say, we dont plan on going back, wish there were more options for Indian food.

Pros:great tasting food. Cons:on a Saturday night at 6 PM no clients were in the restaurant. As we were being seated we noticed that the next door table had dirty dishes that seemed to be sitting awhile. When our food arrived the waiter spilt both servings on the table and my hand. We ordered food for my children, we asked for mild; the food was too spicy/hot to the point my children started gagging. The staff were not friendly and were upset that we complained about the spicy food. These folks really need to to adjust there customer service. No wonder the place was dead on a Saturday night. Prob. a good place to order out but not in.

In short, there are a lot better places to get Indian food. The service was terrible; from seating to receiving food took over an hour; we didnt get water refills even once, and I had to physically hunt down our server to get the check and boxes. The food was alright, but at $16.00 a plate its WAY over-priced for the quality and portion. After our almost 2 hour lunch, they split up our bill wrong, giving 2/3s of the check to one person and not charging one of us at all. Oh - did I mention our group of three was one of MAYBE 8 people in the whole restaurant? Do yourself a big favor and go to Taste of India instead. Youll be glad you did.

Weve been there almost once a week now and tonight plan to celebrate my birthday with friends at the Copper Pot. There was an Indian Restaurant there several years ago and the food was not good. These new owners have been here about a year and the food is terrific! Its fresh, delicious, and beautifully served. Theres a full bar and they deliver! Ive talked to several folks who have tried it and they also thought it was a great place. You know the food is authentic because every time weve been there, an Indian family comes in for a meal too!

Food wasnt close to good, edible at most. Our waiter, I believe, was told to check with customers everyone now and then and ask about the food BUT I think they didnt finish the training of telling her to stick around until she hears the answers!!!! :) The prices are much higher for the items that Ive ordered.. at least 40% more.. Another thing that bothered me was the music chosen, it was some kind of a chant that kept playing for 30 mins, same four word chant on and on and on and on... AND ON! I wouldnt recommend nor would I go there again..

This place is the worst! Such an awesome location for a restaurant gone to waste. Been here several times and each time the service was sooo terrible! If you like waiting forever for any kind of service or for your food, or if you like lack of communication and confusion, than you would love this place! The only thing this place might have going for them is the taste of the food, but there are many other Indian restaurants that are way better than this. If you were questioning this place, just dont bother, trust me.

We had a party of 7 and we showed up without reservations. The staff was very friendly and accommodated us quite nicely. Two of our friends had never been to a Indian food restaurant before and they were very happy with the food and the service. We even found something on the menu for my 83 YO mom who is very picky about her meals. The food was excellent, the prices is well worth the quality, and the servers took great care of us. Ill definitely be back again.

I got stuck waiting quite a while for a ferry, so I walked over and ordered the butter chicken to go. I was not let down. Quite frankly, it was the highlight of my day. Ive been treated with negligence at other Indian restaurants, and much to my delight, everyone at copper pot was so kind. The food was quick and they wrapped everything up nicely. I found my new favorite Indian restaurant :)

I did a to go order while waiting in line for the ferry. Prices that are posted online is not what they charge when you get in there. I ordered a chicken and strips basket (I know really Indian food) and my fries were all odds and ends. Really frustrating. Definitely would not go back. Chicken did taste good though just not very much for what they charge.

This place was amazing, I loved it! I highly recommend this for vegetarians or even vegans! This is my favorite place to eat. I also recommend the mixed vegetables. It shows a lot about the history Indian culture. One of the only things they need to change in my opinion is the seat, they are not anchored to the ground. This place is lovely!

It was our second time at the Copper Pot this evening, and Im happy to report we had delicious meals both times. Tonight we ordered the Paneer Karahi and Eggplant Bhartha. Both were very good. The Karahi had fresh green peppers and onions. The bhartha was smokey and flavorful with green peas. Excellent service.

Just to the left of the ferry line, the Copper Pot fulfilled my "to go" order so quickly and their portions were big enough to keep me going for the rest of my trip to the peninsula! Very nice staff members too, I will be back to see them the next time I miss the ferry!

Ordered delivery. They called and said they were out of an item and asked if we wanted an equal value substitution. We said no. They billed us for it anyway. We called to get refunded and they asked if wed rather take a coupon for a free appetizer next time. We said no.
