Hit this place up on a sunday evening, it was a fun and warm atmosphere created by Holly and Tito. Holly is an awesome outgoing rebel Southern bell with attitude, this would be less of a place with out her. Tito is a knowledgeable wise cracking bartender with questionable sports team preferrences. Ribs and brisket are on point, seasoned and cooked to perfection. The chicken looked and smelled great but was Un seasoned and bland. The sides on the other hand need help. ARE YOU READING THIS PAUL!!!?! You could drink the mac and cheese, and the corn bread tasted like wet dog. Who the hell puts blue cheese in mac and cheese!?! So yeah, I had a great time!!

This was my 3rd time here. I used a Groupon this time. This is where you get good old American food. There are several vegetarian sides, though my friend had the portobello sandwich which was good. We also had the mac n cheese which was good but liquidy - that is their style here, creamed spinach, okra, corned bread & mashed sweet potatoes, along with their homemade sweetened iced tea. Service is fast. The seating is informal. Easy street parking. A good change from Italian, Indian, Thai and eclectic San Francisco food.

This is probably my favorite BBQ in San Francisco, and comes at a reasonable price. The Chicken, Ribs, Brisket and Pulled pork are all good and most of the items on the menu are good portions. They have platters so you can choose several items and the sides are good as well, the collard greens, mac and cheese are my favorite and all comes with a slice of corn bread. Their BBQ sauce selections are good to try on the meat and on the sides. Parking is pretty easy to find, unlike a lot of other parts of the Mission.

Cool bar scene. If you happen to stumble in during a sports game Baby Blues can be a lot of fun. I like to sit down, but sometimes wish I had enough people to come here and sit at one of their super large tables. Bring your hoard of friends here and enjoy. There is a ton of space to sit down. Their helpings are huge too, be careful. I prefer the roasted chicken, stewed okra, and potatoes. Their BBQ sauce selection is intense. Enjoy various flavors of goodness. I like mixing them, but wow that spicy one is hot!

I love that I can order a mixed platter of meats here! One platter of three meats and two sides is more than enough to share between to small girls. Great homemade sauces. And dessert! Whatever the banana cream pudding thing that we ordered was amazing. Never had anything like it, but it was pretty much super whipped cream with fresh bananas and crushed Nilla wafers in it. They also do deliveries and have catering packages, which has been amazing for all those times Ive had large groups over.

Beef rib - NA - Came here specifically to try the beef rib that is on their online menu. The waitress assured me that they had it. Got there and she asked if I wanted the beef or the rib. (/facepalm) Apparently it is no longer on the menu. Beef brisket - 1/5 - Tough and chewy, this was clearly not smoked. Took one bite and was glad I only ordered the smallest ala carte option. Didnt finish the rest. Overall, Im definitely not interested in coming back here. "I think not."

This place was highly recommended by friends, so I decided to give it a shot. The location is convenient to get to via bus or BART. Theres not a ton of seating, but they move people through fairly quickly. The waitresses were top-notch and gave great service. Food, however, left a lot to be desired. I was very surprised at this since it was praised so highly by friends. The meat was kind of dry and the sauces werent that good. I probably wouldnt recommend this place.

I like to think of myself as somebody that knows good barbecue, and I think this place is awesome. Not only is there a wonderfully good selection of incredibly delicious food at Baby Blues, but the staff is among the most awesome at any restaurant in the city. In all honesty, if nothing else, go to Baby Blues for the experience. Some things to try is the Memphis ribs, the baby back ribs, the chicken, the brisket, and the corn bread.

Really great BBQ. Great selection of sides (fixins), including many healthy options like collard greens or stewed tomatoes with garlic. 4 square sauces - one sweet, one semi-sweet (molasses based), one hot like Tabasco, one hot like Scotch Bonet Pepper, each with a very good unique flavor. Very friendly staff, beer on tap with pitchers. Dessert such as banana pudding, sweet potato pie, or apple pie. Definitely will be coming back

This is pretty good BBQ for San Francisco, and comes at a reasonable price and good portions. Their hot sauce and BBQ sauce selections are pretty good, and the sides are good enough to make a meal on their own. I like the North Carolina pulled pork sandwich and the ribs quite a bit. Not too hard to find parking on the street here, unlike a lot of other commercial parts of the Mission.

So many delicious choices, its a good thing there are several platter options. The bbq meat selection is the hit here with some of the side dishes being misses. Although the stewed tomatoes as just the right balance of tang and bite from the garlic, the macaroni and cheese is oily and disappointing. If only they would add pecan pie to the dessert menu, dinner would be complete.

The food is exquisite and there are a lot of options. If youre someone with a huge appetite youll get satisfied and if you are a tiny person with a small appetite youll find the small plates just well enough to fill you up without overwhelming you with excess food. It is very easy to reach and has a huge beer selection. The place needs to be cleaner though.

Probably the best BBQ in the city. I got my food within 10 min of ordering which is unheard of at a BBQ restaurant. Their Memphis style ribs had a lot of meat on them and their pulled pork was juicy. They have a nice range of sauces ranging from sweet molasses based to spicy. Great servers and atmosphere. Kind of a hidden gem that far south in the city.

On the other side of Cesar Chavez - this BBQ place is the bomb! So hard to choose from the sides; mac n cheese, sweet and savory baked beans with big chunks of brisket in it are a couple of my faves. Ive gotten the ribs there and are quite tasty, but the real stars are the sides. Parking is a nightmare, so dont recommend driving there

This restaurant is in my backyard so its my go-to-place when i want a quick bite to eat. I cant say I love their barbeque ribs...I go to Memphis, TN on business and I love the ribs there. But I almost always get a pulled port sandwich at Baby Blues BBQ and it leaves me very satisfied. Plus I love the funky atmosphere.
