In A Nutshell: -The Blue Door has some very nice decor on both the exterior & interior. -The interior designer did a fabolous job! -Its a very big restaurant (used to be a Chevys). -They serve American contemporary w/ Greek influence. -The medium rare Blue Door lamb burger was good - nice & juicy + the extra $2 for upgraded Greek fries didnt hurt. -The Fish & Chips were a large portion & very shareable. -My sister-in-law let me try the Curry Mac, which is an interesting combo, very tasty. -The pizza was just okay - would liked it to be crispier. -Had to return the Seafood Linguine b/c the noodles were too soft, but they later brought it out w/ al dente noodles & that was much better. -The service was decent. Overall, the portions are big, the ambience nice but I would say this a slighty better than average place to eat.

My husband and I were at Westgate today. I got hungry and decided to try the new restaurant " The Blue Door." We were a little skeptical because we have never heard of this restaurant. We were very happy with our service by Ben. He was amazing. He explained all of the foods on the menu. The food was great and a big portion too. My husband had the chicken dish and u tried something else. They were both fantastic. Lots of flavors in our dishes. Were were so happy with our choice of meals. We want to try the happy hour next time. The place is so open and bright. Lots of room inside. We likedont the way the whole interior is set up. You must try it! You would be very happy with the service and the food. We plan to go back again. You must try it!!!

This is a beautiful Restaurant with a great ambience and has a refreshing sound filter which keeps the noise level low. Most great restaurants are very loud which make the experience very loud. Even-though the restaurant was full the noise level was low so we had a very relaxing experience with great Food. They have spent alot of money on creating a great in-door and out-door experience. They have relaxing couches both out-doors and in-doors. I would have to say this is the best outdoor setting in San Jose. I had the half Chicken which was super and my wife had the ribs. Both were excellent !! For a new opening the wait staff was fantastic. ALL ALL we had a great night out !! We will be Back !!

I usually have a bible study class Thursday morning and discovered this place. I really enjoyed book readings here. The service staff are unfailingly friendly. The store manager, Ben, is fantastic and seems to be there all the time keeping everything moving in order, greets and smiles to customers. The place is clean, modern and nicely decorated. The room has areas with bright yet pleasant skylight, and an outside patio that are really perfect for book reading and talking to friends. Their coffee and Greek salad are great! Plan come more often and recommend to my classmates in September.

The decor is clean, hip, modern. The background music didnt match the interior. A little too teen-pop. Otherwise, we had a nice meal. We shared the Spanakopita as an appetizer. It was flaky goodness. I had the organic beet salad with chicken, it was good. My husband had the curry mac n cheese- WOW! Perfect blend of cheese, aromatic curry spice and chicken. Had a little kick, but the burn wasnt lasting. Truly tasty. We also had the hot in pear-a-dise drink- super tasty with nice presentation. They also have a spacious outdoor area, great for happy hour!

When Im writing about a new spot, I personally do not rate restaurants by anything but the quality of their food. The Blue Door certainly put an end to a streak of disappointing overpriced restaurants I visited while I was in Southern California. Fresh ingredients was the wow factor of all the dishes. Everything was perfectly seasoned however, the Blue Door is taking unnecessary risk with their food. There is nothing wrong with a simplicity. One of my higher ranked places in south bay. 7.5/10

Loved the ambiance. Great artwork and plenty of seating both indoors and out. I ordered the Chicken Gyros. It was not very good. The chicken and halved cherry tomatoes were laying on top what looked like a tortilla! Not what I was expecting at all. The fries were so, so....Overall I was very disappointed with the food. My companion chose from the breakfast menu and she was very happy. Ill certainly give it another try and choose something different to order.

Last night my husband and I decided to try this new restaurant. The outside and interior decor looked great very enticing. We entered at 8.30pm and stood waiting to be greeted but were totally ignored even though there was hardly anyone at tables. After 10 minutes we decided it was not a good omen so we went elsewhere. Sad for a new restaurant to start like this, it will be hard for me to get my husband to try it again.

My wife and I had a great time at this new restaurant. The decor is modern yet classic. The menu brings the essential to a flavorful feast like the Fettuccine Alfredo, Mediterranean Sampler, Garlic Shrimp and if you are looking for a original Greek Avgolemono Chicken Soup look no further. I definitely suggest The Blue Door Restaurant for your next business lunch, intimate dinner or group party.

Met up with family at this restaurant after the Christmas holiday. The decor is beautiful and chic. The staff are great and on point. We all had a variety of entrees and there was no complaints. I found it interesting that the food is not the scale of the decor- seems like the food would be more pricy. We didnt mind :) each dish was enjoyed along with three appetizers. We will definitely return!

My partner and I have been wanting to try this new place for a few weeks and finally did this past Friday. We got there pretty early, around happy hour beginning. The place was beautiful! The host and waitstaff were very pleasant and the food was yummy as was the wine. I definitely want to come back for breakfast and lunch, and even the full happy hour experience!

Free bread was warm and delicious. I had an espresso milkshake which sadly was just liquid, but the flavour was there for sure. For food, I had the grilled cheese which would be a solid option but the bread was just too big and overwhelmed any flavour from the cheese and bacon. The fries were great. Service was great as well. Ill be coming back at some point for sure!

Good food, great service. Had the Fried Chicken. Huge portion, and it was really good. Washed it down with a Sonoma Chard. Bar area is cool as well as the fireplace, but the lighting is pretty bright in the dining area. There seems to be some accent lights that were off and the spot light were beaming. The experience was great none the less. Well be back.

Highly Understaffed. We went on a Saturday noon, had to wait for 15 minutes while there are plenty of empty tables. The server did not visited our table once after taken our order. Someone else put our food on the table and left right away, did not ask me if I want cream with my coffee, did not even give me a chance to ask if I can have some cream.
