Came here with 5 of my family members to try out the food. We were waiting in the lobby after being told to sign in. I asked to be seated, to have some beer, chips and salsa, while we wait for the rest of our family to arrive. The chubby Hispanic lady pointed to a sign on the wall that stated you must wait for your entire party to arrive before being seated. I replied by saying thats a stupid sign I could be buying drinks and appetizers. The chubby lady gave me a real nasty look and said esscuzze me. I repeated what I said and she pointed to a sign that stated " we have a right to refuse service. I told her thats her right and that I understand. I was just commenting on the sign and that I thought it was a stupid sign and that I was exercising my constitutional right to free speech. She walked away with a puzzled look. 15 minutes later a different woman came out and said we are going to refuse you service. I said what are you kidding me. Does that lady that I was talking to understand English at all???? Dont waste your money coming here, they obviously need some training for its employees. This is not good friendly family restaurant.

This place has been around for close to two decades, if not longer, and it was the Mexican restaurant my family went to when I was growing up. To this day, the food remains a favorite of mine, with a wide variety of Mexican dishes, served a la carte or as combination platters. That said, the servers that work there now are pretty terrible. Theyre inattentive, slow, and wont bother to check up on you if you need more chips and salsa or a drink refill. There have been times where its very slow in there, and Ill be waiting for them to bring my check or the receipt, and theyre nowhere to be found in the dining area. Im talking about a 15 minute wait or longer before they return from whatever theyre doing in the back. Its customary to leave a tip when youre out dining, and the cooks have a separate tip jar on the counter of their cookline. Thats where I leave mine, and thats where itll stay until the servers get their acts together.

We waited for over 45 minutes, which is fine because we know this restaurant is popular. However, when they were finally seating us they wanted to split us into two tables. We said we would wait for until something opens up so we could sit together, but we were told NO! I just read some reviews apparently there may have been a sign posted that they wouldnt serve table larger than 6. The reviews raved about the food , but said the service was horrible. To me part of the dining experience isnt just the food its the experience, so sadly I will never taste the great food.

I dont know why this place is rated so highly, I have tried it three times and each time it has been utterly disappointing; the food is terrible. I tried three different dishes(tacos, tamales, carnitas) and all of them tasted and looked like mass produced food you could buy at a super market packaged by Taco Bell brand. The sauces look and taste like they are purchased in bulk from a restaurant wholesale company. This place is all hype.

Prolly worst service Ive ever had, almost every time, but best food!!. To be fair, the place is always packed and they only have 2-3 waitresses working at a given time. But, they never smile, greet you nicely or seem to really try to give good customer service. But the food kept me and my family coming back for years! Dont order to go, they will jip you on food. If you want good service and no waiting try Mexico lindo on foxworthy.

Excellent food and service, and you just cant beat their fresh, homemade chips and salsa. The chips are warm when served, and did I mention that all of it is complimentary? (Last time I went with two other we had 5 little baskets of chips /w salsa.) Besides the fact that the food ad service is great, the place if very cozy, and great for groups as much as it is for one person...

A sit-down taqueria with fairly standard fare, not at all attempting to be adventurous or unique. Reasonable prices and nice atmosphere, though I am tempted to deduct one star for the entirely-too-loud spanish-speaking radio being blasted over the PA. My kids who are connoisseurs in refried bean burritos and nachos give this place their stamp of approval.

Awesome tacos and great conversation with Ben, who cooks all the ingredients right in front of you on his grill. The Manuel Uribe is out of control and has an interesting backstory. I tried all four tacos and will definitely be returning soon. Major key alert - Ben makes burritos too.Taqueria Tlaquepaque is best.

The carnitas and spanish rice were very dry. The carnitas was also greasy, as if they tried to moist the meat back up by dipping it in grease and reheating it on the grill. And, there was a hair in my salsa. The chain, in general, is good, but this location is horrble. Ill stick to the one on Willow St.

My favorite Mexican spot of all time. The food is great and the super chavellas are better. Only downside, and this goes for all 3 of their locations, the wait can be very long. But once you get a table, just knock back a super chavella and it will be all good.

Best ever everything! Been coming here almost weekly since 96 (thanks to former coworker) NEVER had a bad meal n or bad service! The ONLY PROBLEM...is that the food is SO GOOD, you cant stop eating no matter how full you are!.....here again ! Awesome! Everytime!

I always get the verde chicken enchiladas. Their sauce is soo good. I also swap out the rice, which is very good, with another side of beans - as their beans are even better!! Remember to go early and dont get your hopes up for their service.

Had the wet burrito with red sauce and cheese. Delicious!! Lunch comes with complimentary chips and salsa which are fresh and perfectly spiced. Wasnt particularly a fan of the sangria, but everything else was great.

Ordered chorizo and potatoes. The potatoes were french fries and the chorizo was sweet. It was gross. Never going back again. Great chips and salsa though.
