For vegetarians, this place is not that great. The meat dishes are quite pricey and you pay that expensive price even if you get the food made vegetarian style. I ordered the burrito and it wasnt that great. The only garnish on the plate was a small stalk of cilantro. It doesnt look like something you would see in a photograph. The inside of the burrito was stuffed with entire boiled potatoes with the skin and rice. The guacamole is only in the middle so if you start at an end of the burrito, you wont get any taste/flavor. There is no sauce and barely any cheese. Normally a regular vegetarian burrito has lots of beans, cheese, and sauce. This one barely had any of these. I would not recommend this. Too pricey for a vegetarian and not even that great. I ended up taking it home and adding my own ingredients to make it taste better. I asked for a takeout box at the end. It was a little dusty or dirty but I didnt mind. Then when I came home, I realized that there was a sticker with a name on the box. I guess the employees just recycle their boxes. They should give brand new clean takeout boxes to everyone. The other people I was with said their food was good, so maybe other items on the menu are better, but I wouldnt want to go there again. Also, the restaurant was completely empty during lunch time except for my group. Seemed like a dead place that no one goes to.

Okay for all who havent yet tried this place, you must give it a chance! Plaza Garibaldi is a refreshingly different take on Mexican food, with much more to offer than your typical enchiladas rancheras, tacos and burritos (although they are the best), We all know about the El Burros, Mexico Lindos etc. they are all the same old thing and I think we are all guilty of getting comfortable with "our usual". Venture out to 1170 E. Santa Clara Street and you WILL be pleasantly surprised! Their menu consists of traditional Mexican dishes as well as some unique regional dishes that you may not have tried, Alambres, Huaraches, Mariscos and Parilladas (if you dont know what any of this is then you have not had real Mexican Food). Yes, sometimes it takes time to find the right staff, cooks especially but they are now at a place where their cooks are performing at their best ability, not to mention the SUPER wait staff, especially Martha she is the best! You can come and enjoy live performances by Maricachis, blues guitarists, harpists, artists etc. while sipping on a margarita made will all natural ingredients and a selection of over 80 tequilas. Check out other reviews on Zagat and Yelp. Enjoy!

We came to this restaurant on mothers day and it was one of the worst experiences that i had at any restaurant in bay area. We were seated after other couples who ariver after us, treated like we did not exist by the waiting staff. After they took the order late , the enchiladas salsa smelled like raw tomatoes and my husband order was not delivered. He ordered mole they brought same unappealing enchiladas. The cooking staff looked really angry when they were asked to actually cooked what we ordered. We left without lunch after 1:30 hours of waiting. The most unpolite and unhelpful staff starting with the manager for the day. Even 1 star is too much

I cant believe Ive been living in San Jose for so long and never knew about this place. If youre in the mood for talented mariachi performance and authentic mexican cuisine, have dinner here on a weeked night. The prices are ok and the food and drinks are good. I would give it three stars but added another star for the live music. It does get a loud though so make sure to not get seated right in front of the band.

We love Joselitos, we stopped to have lunch here one day after my husbands drs. appointment because it was close by and he was starved. Some of the best Mexican food in the area. Its small, quaint, and has a nice family atmosphere. Every time were in the area we try to stop in. The last time we were there we had breakfast, not tons of options, but what they had was absolutely delicious!

Very tasty Mexican cuisine in a more fancy chef version (not the typical Mexican plates). Love the unique Maragaritas too!
