Great place to meet friends for breakfast. We met up on a Monday morning at 9:30 and this place was pretty busy, not full, but busy enough to keep the staff running round, pour coffee, taking orders, and serving food. Members of our group arrived at different times, every time they saw a new person sit down, they asked if you wanted coffee, the answer was always yes, followed by the menu and utensils. I got the biscuit and gravy, its ok, the gravy was missing nice chunks of sausage, it always came with two eggs and either sausage or bacon. Their bacon could be a tad bit crispy, but its still pretty good. My friend got the chicken fried steak, which looked really good, someone else got the Louie special which is kind of the kitchen sink of omelettes, there were other dishes but was too busy talking to remember. The coffee keeps coming. The service is good considering we only saw two people waiting/bussing for the whole restaurant. What we really like was he gave the total of each person, so we didnt have to figure out what everyone owed. It was easier just to put down our food + tip.

Had lunch here with some friends and ordered the Lous Special - Corned Beef, Mushrooms, Spinach, Eggs, Hash Browns, and Toast. The portions were pretty generous and the prices were reasonable. The hash browns were probably the least greasy hash browns Ive had, so if youre trying to be healthy but are craving hash browns, I guess this would be worth trying. The corned beef, mushrooms, spinach, and eggs were all scrambled together. It has the potential to be really good, but the corned beef was kind of tough and wasnt as flavorful as I wanted it to be. I couldnt really taste much of the brine and pickling spices. Without the corned beef to provide the salty backbone, the other ingredients dont have much else to build on. I can see why locals would come here. Its not expensive, and the place has an old retro charm, but I wouldnt go out of my way to eat here.

Sat at the counter today. My third time here in four years.Good service. Very friendly. Nice menu. Great food.Very decent prices. BUT The BEST part of your house is Pedro, your cook/chef!!!!Not only is he bi lingual, friendly,, well kept under pressure, preps things AND serves when needed. I was amazed to watch him. This guy is outstanding!!! 18 years at your place??? Hes a keeper. What more can I say........ If I only had my own place again,Pedro would be the first on the hire list.

Try their breakfast special under six dollars , as well it has a Old café charm so you should try this restaurant in the Taraval territory as well if you seen before a buffet salad they no longer serve it that way because of health issues so ask for their salad they will serve it on a plate and you will joy it to with variety of vegetables, as well it is a nice hang out its same for me so I hope it will be same for you come here for a gathering or by yourself this is a nice hang out

I LOVE THIS DINER. The family that runs it is the best, the same old crowd that shuffles in is the best. I always get a cup of bottomless coffee, and the corn beef hash special which comes with 2 pieces of toast, 2 eggs, a huge portion of corned beef and hash browns. Ive had many good conversations here at that counter and it always feels like home. Thank you TN Grill.

A great old, greasy diner with fast and friendly service perfect for a classic breakfast. The tractor seat barstools are surprisingly comfy. Definitely crazy on Sunday mornings after the church crowd comes in so Id just avoid it altogether. Only real complaint is that the waffles arent so great; usually kinda dry. Maybe they use their pancake batter for both?

We took a walk down Taraval from 19th ave to the beach and back one afternoon and couldnt find anything that looked decent for lunch. The Tennessee Grill was the last restaurant along our path back to the car so we decided to give it a try. We both had burgers and fries which were decent but nothing to get excited over

I have been going here longer than I care to remember and its always consistent. My fave is the Patty melt and fries which is perfect every time. My family usually get the super Burger. My waitress comes to the table with my regular ice tea and lemon even before I order; even if I have been there in months!

Im giving three stars rather than two because the servers were very warm and attentive. Maybe the breakfast is good, but dont order the turkey club. The turkey was like thick cut mystery meat, mealy tomatoes, pickles tasted like a dirty refrigerator.

Had breakfast & lunch here 3 or 4 times during a week we were filming a commercial nearby. Quick service. Good food. Generous portions. Reasonable prices. Never had to wait for seating. Lots of regulars & old timers. Will return...

This is the first local spot I tried in San Fran area and it was a great experience. Nothing too special about the food. Good food, great service, very interesting atmosphere. Make sure to use the restroom while youre there, lol.

My first, and last visit...never again! The bacon was cold, limp and greasy, the hash browns were mushy and cold, the coffee was so weak that it tasted like semi flavored water. Dont waste your money, go to Louis instead!

Im giving four stars because of the price and the service. The food is just OK (hovering around three stars), but worth going if you are trying to feed a family on a budget. Throwback diner.

Average food, slightly on the pricey side. Chinese run and they dont have a lot of servers. But, its still American fare, which you cant really ruin. (At least, it isnt easy to ruin eggs...)

The food is the type typically found at a Dennys, IHOP or other similar 24hour breakfast chain restaurant. Dont expect anything extraordinary but it is comfortable.

Workingmans Cafe, just good old fashioned blue collar diner. Breakfast is always great, service fast, burgers a great value, great fries. What else could you want?
