Skip this one if you have kids, want great customer service, and food that isnt overcooked. We came on a Sunday evening and the place was half empty. We had a party of 4 adults and three little kids, and they refused to sit us in a booth with a high chair. They asked us to wait for the only large booth that was available. We asked if we could just order from the side table we were sitting at so the kids could get their food first (a little side bar waiting table), and the hostess said we couldnt order from the waiting area. Then the manager showed up 20 minutes later and was kind of a jerk. He seemed annoyed at us for asking to squeeze in a booth and left. I still dont know why we couldnt sit in a regular booth. All of the food was burnt (fried chicken, overcooked burger, and french fries), and my Moscow mule wasnt very good :(. For a dinner that was over $100, it was really a waste of all of our time and money. Their management and staff needs to work on their problem solving skills and customer service skills. Ive been to places much busier but seated much faster than this, and had way better service. Wish I could get all the time and money I wasted on this place back. I couldve gone to Popeyes for better service and food and 1/10 of the price.

Disappointing. Nice to have a brewpub there, in the outer Sunset, but they need to step it up. The service was very slow despite not being busy on a Sun morning. The biscuit sliders were decent in concept, but half hearted in execution and not enough food for the price charged. Making matters worse, mine werent hot when served; moreover half our party was served and then we had to wait another 5-10 minutes for the other half to get their food. I ordered the black lager off the menu but received a beer that was more like a porter, and a stout one at that. When I asked about, the server said, "Oh yeah our new brewer decided to change it to porter because it seems more like a porter." Maybe mention that when I make the order? And update your menu. Another favorite moment in service is when our server was taxed to put down a plate of food because of uncleared plates & glasses, then walked away leaving them there. clap_emoji.jpg The atmosphere is OK, but hampered by the brutal acoustics. Theyll get by because theres not much else that side of 19th Ave to scratch a brewpub itch, but theres nothing here to recommend.

with all the great breweries popping up in San Francisco these days, you can skip this one on the list. a buddy and i decided to check this place out for a beer or two. sat down at the bar and was passed back and forth by both bartenders (not a packed bar or busy hours either) When my friend confronted the bartender and told him we waited awhile, his response was very defensive and confrontational. first off, that is a piss poor reaction to a customer. he proceeded to argue with us and say that he never passed by us. while having this discussion he continued about his work turning around and not paying us much respect or attention. afterwards when ordering a beer, my friend wanted something lighter or a pale ale. the bartenders reaction was shocking to say the least. its as if he looked down at the very idea of a pale ale as if he was offended. there was also no alert that it was last call as if everyone magically knew when last call was. This bartender was very unprofessional and just downright rude.

Disappointed. Ordered their "Sour" beer and sadly let down by how much is tasted like a pale ale. I even asked the bartender if he accidentally poured me the wrong one. His response was "its our brewers interpretation of a sour beer". I was just reading some of the other reviews and it seems that a lot of the beers here are the "brewers interpretation of [blank] beer". Overall, beer sucked and service was subpar. I would have given SRBC 3 stars but overall the staff there need an attitude adjustment.

Ive been coming here since they opened and Im sorry to say that the last three times Ive been here have been less than satisfying. Unfortunately the shisito peppers are drenched in oil. The buffalo wing sauce taste like tomato paste with sugar. The glass of wine during happy hour was $10 and its a very small glass of wine. Needless to say I wont be coming back and Im very sad because I was so hopeful supporting this new restaurant in my neighborhood.

For us it is s very local place but is really different than other watering holes - great atmosphere - friendly and cheerful. Lots of space with two levels and industrial, hip interior. The food was good much above the average and the service unpretentious and skilled. We cannot wait to return and try something different - oh and they brew their own beers and ales.

Went here a few weeks ago for a late lunch. They had some tasty beers on hand and a great deal on wings. I forgot the actual price but its worth the pound of wings you get. They have some TVs so you can watch some sports game if any are on. Lots of windows to let in natural light. Pretty friendly staff as well. I would go back if I was in the area.

Got to love a brewpub that also has a full liquor license and the spirits necessary to support a full cocktail program. Oban, Glenffiddich 12,15,18; The Macallan 12, 12 (double cask), 15, 18; High West (3 styles); Four Rose (2 styles); Michters, etc. A dozen Gin. And the food I had was great. Easy to get to via the 28 and/or 7. Ill be back for sure.

Breading on the fish and chips is too thick. Its like eating cod dipped in corn dog batter, so I wouldnt recommend it. Garlic on the garlic fries were all clumped together in one part of the dish. Salads were large and well put together. But you dont go to a sports bar to eat a great salad.

Went there the other day. Was pleasantly greeted, had a great conversation with both the hostess and my waitress. Awesome staff!! Not only that, the food was bommmbbb! Wish I remembered to take pictures of the food, but next time... which will be soon ;)

I had high hopes for these guys, and theyve really put together a nice bar, but the beer just isnt up to the task. That said, we need more breweries in town and particularly this neighborhood, so I hope things turn around for this place.

Table service was lacking, but bar service was great. Food is pretty good. The chicken in the brunch sliders was overcooked or had been prepped ahead. Biscuits seemed day old. They partner with Devils Teeth for some baked goods.

I have been there twice since they opened and am headed back tonight for some more great food and brews! The burger is fantastic, loved the sourwheat brew, also grilled paquillo peppers are the best, watch the sneaky spicy ones!!

Cute brewery in the Outer Sunset with a large space (two levels, good for groups!) and yummy food options. Agree with some other reviews that say the portions can be small, but I do think it depends on what you order.

Cant go wrong at Sunset Brew, the place has good service, great food and excellent beer. Its a great spot for groups or just a quick beer and bite at the bar. Thank you for a great eatery/brewery in the sunset!
