I dont know how you can be a Korean Restaurant and have DISGUSTING kimchee! People might not know, but Kimchee is a Korean staple food, and if you cant get that right, why should I trust ANYTHING ELSE you throw down on the table? I have had better Korean food in Aberdeen Maryland! Yes. Maryland. The home of crab chowder and fried chicken wings. So it is very astonishing to me that in the heart of a cultural Mecca, such as San Francisco, you cant scrape together a team of chefs to help you. Points of Improvement: Side Dishes (in general) All were disgusting and not properly refrigerated. - Kimchee was warm and dry. It sat in no sauce,. if sauce and cabbage are the parentage of Kimchee this concoction was an immaculate conception. - Chili Cucumber, also supposed to be chilled, Tasted nothing of Chili and all of the cucumber that time forgot. Maybe if there was vinegar it wouldve kept better. I ordered stone pot chicken, which was ok, if it wasnt for the lack of seasoning. I dont know who this lifeless flavor was geared toward, but stop catering to them. I needed the help of the teriyaki AND the chili paste and STILL my chicken was lacking the character I had come to know from several other restaurants. Now I understand different chefs, cook a different way, but my question is.... "Did you even put salt?" I tried not to give this place a bad wrap, I was just going to be quiet and never go again, but that abomination they call Kimchee really hurt my heart. I would hate to see what you did to anything else in this hoax of a Korean restaurant.

3.5 stars. The food is decent although the price is a few dollars higher for the main entrees than I typically pay at Korean places, for similar portions. The tofu soup is a little bland and doesnt have as much in it as I would like. The dolsot bibimbap is good and the meat portion in it was great. A few small side dishes are served but also less than normal Korean places. The service in the store is pretty fast although not super enthusiastic or authentic Korean. The atmosphere is good and isnt too crowded dining in usually. New tables and chairs were nice to sit in. The place also had HDTV playing basketball at the bar and dining area. I like coming back because of the atmosphere and its a convenient place to eat some simple Korean food.

I met my lady friend there for dinner. The food was good, however the marinade for the Bulgogi should be less salty they they should have sprinkled chopped green onions & sesame seed for presentation purposes. The pan-can ( small plates pickled radishes & assorted kimchi) were very nice indeed. They were freshly made & well seasoned. We ordered Chap Chae ( clear rice noodle stir fried with vegetables & shredded beef) which was delicious. I ordered OB beer ( Korean brand) which is a light flavored beer akin to Sapporo in flavor. Service could improve a bit. My companion had to call the front in order to order more tea for our table. Overall..my dining experience was acceptable.

Having lived for years in Seoul, I would never recommend this place to anyone. The food is so so, the service wasnt good, and the prices are way too high for what you get. Their online menu isnt up to date. When I ordered kimchi jjigae, the waitress said they removed it from the menu six months ago... thats like removing spaghetti marinara from an Italian pasta restaurant. The spicy medium mild scale here is "white people spicy" based. It doesnt necessarily say anything, but I didnt see any Korean people working or eating here, and nothing is written in Korean. There is much better food and more authentic places in this area, I would skip this restaurant if possible.

This restaurant has recently been renovated and they turned it from a peaceful, lovely place to a very pedestrian, loud, uninteresting one. Terrible acoustics, not especially attractive layout, dull grey color scheme, large tv screens. They added a "bar" upfront and there is now so little space we had to get up in order to allow someone with a baby carriage to exit. Sheesh. Food is the same - okay but nothing to rave about but the feel of the place overwhelmes any positive reviews of the food. Were very disappointed; this used to be an exceptionally nice, welcoming and attractive local spot.

The ambiance here is nice. Thats the good part. I ordered a krazy korean bowl. The rice and dry hamberger meat that was inside was burned with a burnt flavor throughout the food. It was $18 for that burned bowl of hamburger meat and tomato flavored rice. If you want a good korean place try Hot Stone BBQ in Fairfield. They give lots of samples and rice and large portions of food. Here We didnt even get a small bowl of rice that is usually standard for Korean restaurants. Wont come here again. Very disappointed with food quality, taste, small portion size for the money and service.

We came for a weekday lunch and were seated quickly - theyve got plenty of outdoor seating, but little shade, so bring a hat. The vegetarian sampler came fast & was pretty good - the green beans were tempuraed which surprised me since they were only described as "crispy". The fried tofu was yummy. The japchae was good as well, though without meat (or other veggies) it was a bit boring. I didnt try any meat dishes, which took quite a bit longer to come out, but they smelled good (especially the short ribs on a sizzling platter) and Im definitely excited to try them next time.

I used to work in Embarcadero and got invited by a friend to eat at Stone Kitchen. It was absolutely delicious, and the emphasis on small plates made a leisurely happy hour turn into dinner. We ate dumplings, green beans, tuna, fried rice, fish & chips and bi bim bap. Everything was delicious, and they had quite a few white wines to choose from. I wish I had an excuse to go back here because it really was a wonderful meal.

Rookies may burn your tongue on a first bite because its hot hot hot! The food is served in a hot clay bowl and each and every bite is hot! Just the way I like it! My favorite are the Krazy Korean, which is an Angus beef patty with gravy and egg on top. And my other favorite is the beef bibimbap! Very flavorful and both very expensive.

This place use to have really good food.. not sure what happened but the Bulgogi was super bland and dry, usually some pickled veggies, kimchi condiments etc etc are served but we were told they were no longer serving this... I have never eaten at a korean place that does not serve condiments. Anyway.. not coming back here.

There was a Groupon for this deal and so I decided to go with some friends. We ordered three dishes (Kal-be, Ja Jjan Myun, and Kim Chi Fried Rice) and ended up only liking the Fried rice. I would not come back here due to the fact that the prices are a little high and the food was just ok.
