So rude. I was waiting patiently for a table and of course I was ignored and not greeted which is typical for Asian restaurants. I was waiting to ask for a table and these people cut in front of me and the lady asked how any people fortheir table, so I told the worker lady that weve been waiting forever to ask for a table and she said "whoever says something first gets a table." I was pissed plus my 2 year old was getting so impatient from waiting. So we finally got seated at a dirty table which I expected. . . Ten min later it got cleaned. The point where it tipped it off was when my 2 year old was trying to feed her hunger off of drinking water and accidentally spilled it. I tried to clean it up on my own with the napkins that were given to us with our utensils, which of course was not enough so I aske her for more napkins and she did not want me to use a napkin. Instead she threw me a dirty rag ,that she probably wiped her butt with, and told me to clean it myself. I literally had to do some 007 stuff to get napkins for my utensils

I come here quite often even though the customer service is horrible, but their food is fantastic! Prices are alright. I always either get the seafood or pork tofu soup. If Im really hungry though I get the short ribs as well. Theyre amazing!! My girlfriend gets the dumpling tofu soup. I think its okay, but dumpling lovers will enjoy it more than me. The little sides that they bring you are my favs. Cucumbers, cucumber/cabbage salad, and bean sprouts and cant forget the fish. Watch out for the bones though. Its nice eating at the restaurant but sometimes I feel like eating at home so you can always get it to go. Theyre pretty quick if you call. Overall, despite the horrible customer service the flavor of the food, portions and price are great.

I have dined at this establishment numerous times and Love the service and food this authentic Korean restaurant offers. The dishes always taste fresh and the Kimchi is awesome. This is the best Korean diner I have visited since returning from Korea. I have tried a few other Tacoma Korean places and nothing comes even close to the quality and service of this fine restaurant. The Hot tea is to die for and the tofu so good. I cannot agree with all the negative reviews posted here the service has always been exceeding my expectations. The place is located in the Paldo Supermarket mall off of South Tacoma ave on the outside.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. The food might be decent, but the price is too much for such terrible service. The waitresses are incredibly rude--almost to the point that it was just unacceptable. I am the CUSTOMER and I should be treated with respect. I am the one paying for the food, not them. I am never going to this place again. It was a waste of time and money. If the food is expensive, then the service should at least be just as high. But not at Cho Dang. The restaurant owner should really re-consider who works there since the people there should be fired. They should be ashamed of their crappy attitudes.

I LOVE there food delicious we always go there with my family and friends every time where in town we live almost 2 hrs away and we would go. I never ever write a review but my biggest complaint is the service is ALWAYS horrible we always get the same lady shes heavier set who is super so rude. She would roll her eyes at us and glare and never give us refills unless we get her attention its unbearable really I dont even know why I still tip the price is already high $19.95 for a meal with meat. Seriously Im a server to and if your like that you shouldnt be working in customer service.

One of my favourite restaurants in Tacoma - Cho Dang is a casual Korean restaurant specializing in Tofu Soup ($10) with a variety of protein options. They also have BBQ and Bi Bim Bop. You get a CRAZY amount of food - they serve a ton of ban chan and a small fried fish with each entree. Its all delicious and the soup is literally BOILING hot when it comes to you. I crave Cho Dang when Im under the weather! Crazy busy during lunch hours, but if you come after 1 - its usually easy to find seating for a party of 4 or more.

I can eat here every week if I could. My favorite go to Korean Restaurant. I have eaten here quite a few times, by myself or with family. I love it. I love kalbi and their Kalbi melts in your mouth. It is so so tasty, you want cant help suck on the bones for more flavor. I also love their side dishes. Best rice too ...love that it comes steaming hot in a stone bowl, just like everything else. I also love those clam tofu soup. I always leave satisfied and cant wait to come back again!!

One star for service. We had to ask a few times for the set of utensils. Water was not refilled. When asked for additional bean sprouts, we were told they were out of it. As new customers came in, they magically had bean sprouts for those customers. I do not tolerate dishonest business. Just tell me if you charge for extra bean sprout if it is so. I wouldnt mind paying. Super annoyed and will never come back.

Ignorant and enraging service; weve been waiting for 35 minutes and were not even being asked for our order despite our request. I wouldnt recommend coming here if youre actually hungry. If youre willing to wait about 45 minutes for your food, this is your place; the food is pretty good, I have to admit. And also, dirty cups and bowls.

Great food. Korean bloodline keeps me compelled to go. A little spendy. Dont forget to ask for tea in your stone bowl after you scoop your rice. Get a combo and share with a date. Dont feel ashamed to raise your hand and say you want something. Otherwise youll get forgotten. Comes with the territory.

Good food. Terrible customer service. Waitresses are rude, unfriendly and act as if they are doing you a favor by taking your order. If you need a refill of your beverage you must ask more than once and are treated like your bothering them. Will not eat here again and yes I am Korean.

The tofu soup here is so good! I love getting the combo because you get some bbq pork, tofu soup, rice in a rock bowl, and tons of side dishes. It also comes with a fried fish!(I dont eat fish but its still a cool feature). If you are craving Korean and you are near cho dang, go go go!!!

Very authentic tofu stew. It is just like they serve it in Korea. The option to tell how spicy you want it is nice. The side dishes are great too! For $9 you cant beat it! Ill definitely stop by this restaurant when I pass through Tacoma. Well worth it!

The worst customer service ever!!! They kept the menu in our hands almost half hour,and there no any waitress trying to help us out! A big restaurant with only one waiter! TOTALLY WASTE OUR TIME!!! Never come back again!!!!
